Pendant quelques jours, nous avons trois petits-enfants à la maison. Apparemment, ils sont toujours heureux d'être là. Ils aiment beaucoup leur grand-mère qui fait tout ce qu'ils demandent. Alors cette fois leur plaisir est d'aller à la patinoire. La plus âgée Manon (14) y est allée déjà une fois et hier elle est retournée à la patinoire avec son frère Antoine et sa cousine Clémentine, avec la présence de la Grand-Mère Janine. Cette dernière a pris quelques photos intéressantes à interpréter sur le plan du comportement ..
La photo ci-dessus montre le trio qui vient prudemment presque avec crainte longeant le mur .( de gauche à droite Antoine, Clémentine et Manon )
For a few days we have three grandchildren at home. Apparently they still are pleased to be there . They love a lot their grandmother who does all they ask. So this time their pleasure is to go to the rink. The oldest Manon ( 14 ) went there already once and yesterday she returned to the rink with her brother Antoine and her cousin Clementine , with the presence of the grand mother Janine . This last took some photos interesting to interpret about the behavior..
The photo above shows the trio that comes in prudently almost with fear along the wall . ( left to right Antoine, Clémentine and Manon)

Antoine ' s behavior is different . At first, he takes measures and he analyses carefully the parameters of that complexe situation . Who goes slowly goes far!
Le comportement d ' Antoine est different . D ' abord il prend des mesures et analyse soigneusement les paramçtres de la situation . Qui va doucement va loin!And you know what ? They are returned today with their grandmother!

Awww, Ice skating is such fun, and such challenge. Such joy to be a grandparent.
I am surprised that you also, did not go to the rink.
Great fun! Nothing better to get out of the heat of summer than a visit to the ice rink. The smiles tell the story better than any words!

We don't have an ice rink anywhere near us, but we do have ponds, lakes and canals that freeze in the winter.
Frozen ponds were also my rink in my youth!
What fun! For the kids and for Grandmother!

Their smiles bring a smile to me this morning. I used to try on mom's skates for the ice on the road by our house. My ankles just to wobbly there. lol
ryc: Michel I live in a huge city in Texas. But one might say the suburbs. The picture of the sign was one I got in an email as our area of the city have no deer. Older areas do have deer displaced by housing. I take that back there is an area near me I have seen deer. They are on land owned by Southwest Research, still wooded and fenced.
They're having fun!! I remember the days on ice skates, and roller skates.....Such fond memories they are making!!
Grandchildren are for grandparents to enjoy.

Your grandchildren look healthy and lean. Either they are eating great food or doing a lot of exercise or both!
Life is good and your wife enjoys being generous. However you must have had urgent things to do that prevented you from going out too.

Reply to Nanny and pPhilip: Janine was at the rink to keep the children under control, she does not skate ; and me , less yet! In the past we did not have ice skates and we slided on the iced ponds in the winter with our shoes

Hello Michel and Ty for your comment on my post about the three mile train. It comes through three times a month picking up, and dropping off cars along different mills, and plants along the river and hills out this way.
We know their schedule and on warm summer afternoons and evenings sit and watch them go by,

Ai fait du patin enfant aussi et aimais bien cela. On faisait des tours et des tours et il y a avait de la musique et bref, c'était très sportif et joyeux

TY so very much Michel and his ears are still pretty bad. Tomorrow morning we go to the VA Urgent care in the city where they will give him whatever meds he needs there.
What great fun they had with Janine! You are both good grandparents! I can't get over how much Manon especially has grown! You have beautiful grandchildren.
Thank you so much Michel for your kind words to me. I'm sorry that you are experiencing such pain. I'd not wish it on anyone, but especially to a friend such as you. We are still pursuing answers to the problem and source of pain.

I could right now live in an ice rink atmosphere due to the heat here in SD. We are too hot Today is over 102f.
That is so nice that the grandkids love spending time with you and your wife.
Around here are mostly roller skating rinks. Those are fun too. It looks like they are having fun with Grandma. That is a good thing!
It looks like theyhad a wonderful time. I haven't skated in many years.
In the past I slided on the iced pond wearing shoes with big nails but there were no ice rink nor ice skate !

Yes TD's appt for is ear problems went well and he is getting some relief til he sees his regular VA Dr on the 14th.
