A dream week in Alsace . ( East of France )

We were in a very old village surrounded with vineyards at the foot of Vosges Mountains : Eguisheim . Its half - timbered houses with corbellings ( XV or XVI th centurie ) always lived are staying in two circles like two ramparts protecting the castle and the church . All these houses ' fronts are covered by flowers . It is a place for dreaming but its a living dream . A wine steam cross your body almost all the day . And the meals are naturally exquisite and copious . If you feel yourself weak or if you have not good spirits , go to Eguisheim ( some 5 km south - west of Colmar , nice town ) . Also you will meet French and Europa story since the next year the 1000 th  Leon IX birthday will be celebrated in Eguisheim where he is born . We are already come back and I must face  managing choir which will sing on the next 15th August and gathering various crops from my vegetable garden : things are getting too much for me but the Alsace dream is helping .
