Daffodil time and Xanganiversary
Le temps des jonquilles et Xanganniversaire
I took this picture of a pasture full of wild Daffodils at Palm Day on the 20 March . At Palm Day in France we pray especially for the dead and those Daffodils that are blooming again every spingtime seems to me a hope of life sign ..

Suddenly i remember also it was almost the day I started Xanga ( 23 th of March 2001 ) . This website had been suggested to me by my friend canadian soldier of 1944 ' s son who had found again me in 2000 , 56 years later .. But what to do with this site - journal ? I had never spoken English and my English writing was ( and always is ) poor . The first blogs were not brillant as you can see below ( see DOCUMENTS ). More , I soon realized I was probably the only one Frenchman on Xanga or almost the one . Since this hesiting beginnings I met more and more friends in the whole world . And this has been a wonderful discovery for me .

The Amiens ' soccer team has just acccess to the French Cup FINALS as being the winner of Troyes ' team yesterday evening . Hurrah ! I indicate that Amiens is a very nice town of Picardie ( France ) .Finals will be in Paris in May .
Now , I hear the vegetable garden , the lawn , the flower beds , some parts of the walls of the house that need to be cleaned . They shout at me : " Michel ;, you neglect us " . So I have to go .

Bonjour, Michel!
You have helped clear up what Palm Day is for me. I had heard of it, but was never quite sure of its meaning. Thank you!
You have been on Xanga for quite some time. I myself started in late 2002. You've really come a long way with your English and your writing...and even your comments! You started out only getting about 2 comments, and look at you now! You're a star on here! You have met plenty of friends on here, and I have met a great friend in you.
I want to also thank you for answering my question the other day about English and French. I was just curious to know. I would love to meet you some day, but I guess that I will have to work on my French a bit more. My goal is to become fluent. I hope to achieve this difficult goal! I've been working at it for five years now. Maybe one day I can do it!
Good luck with your day and all the work that you are doing! I also have some work that I could be doing around the home, but I wanted to come here first. I must be addicted! Take care, my friend. God bless.

You are a very unique Xangan . The whole of Xanga knows all about you and you are much loved here
Of course you friendship means alot to us all too .
Your daffodils look wonderfull and brings a ray of sunshine to us all .
You do have broadband as you have a DSL but I know there are different speeds of DSLs . You will have to talk to Janine nicely to see if she will let you buy a new PC
Haha, good luck in le jardin!!

happy xangaversary...you have always brought great wisdom to your writings here and thank you for that...
Yes, Xanga really has been a wonderful experience for many of us. I'm glad for it and that you are a part of it, Michel. Happy xangaversary, and since I do not think I said it a few weeks ago, I really hope your Birthday was wonderful!
-matt
Awwww. You are so cute! Vous êtes très mignon! (That's as good as my French gets)
You are doing an excellent job writing in English. This is the only way you are going to learn. Keep reading English and conversing with people.
mike
Happy Xangaversary...so glad you are here for all of us. You are a unique person in your own right and our dear friend. Like the daffodils you bring us joy! Having friends like you keep my sanity in a job working with thousands of people from all over the world
Love, Nancy
Hi Michel - the home inside and out never stops needing work done. I have a list of 'things to do' at home and its very large but I'm afraid my energy is not as large as the list sometimes. So I try to do bits and pieces when I can.
Happy Xangaversary.
oh, and michel. you'll win a jem for joining my circus. just name a circus job {that hasnt been previously mentioned} and you win

Mais t'es vieux! Je veux dire comme membre de Xanga.
Bon xanganniversaire, Michel.
Porte-toi bien, Michel.
Clara
You are one of my favorite people on Xanga Michel. I'm glad to know you.
Hello Michel! I just got caught up on your Xanga! Happy Belated Birthday & Xangaversary!
The flowers are really beautiful.

Michael, your English is so good, far better than my poor French. I am so glad that I have met you and other friends through Xanga. My daffodills are almost finished blooming, but now there are many other flowers to enjoy.
Carol Suzanne
Happy Xangaversary, I am so glad you are here. You are an inspiration.
Happy xanganniversary!
I hope that came out right. It's only my first year
you are such an inspiration! i want to learn french and i see how your english has improved. i must stop being lazy and just start learning french!
Beautiful writing. I am always put at peace by reading your Xanga. It is always very relaxing and makes me think about the past.
The pictures of the daffodils is extraordinarily beautiful.
-the rachael
NICE PIC!
I didn't realize that you had a xangaversity. Congratulations! And your English is excellent...probably better than mine!
I have only visited a time or two, but you do have a marvelous site. Peace be with you, my friend.
welcome =D
I give thanks to your friend as it has been my pleasure getting to know you here.
I can't believe that just a few years ago you couldn't write English. You do very well now.
Bon xangaversaire. (Please tell me how to make accent marks with my keyboard). Judy
Happy Xangaversary!!! So glad you decided to join, as I always enjoy your blogs and reading about your family. Xanga would not be the same without you, as I am sure a lot of people would agree.
I love Daffodils so much, but it will be a while yet before mine are up and blooming. We still have quite a bit of snow left here, but it is getting warmer-in the fifties today.
I was able to have my kitchen window open all day, while spring cleaning. It was great!!!
Love
,
Edie Rose
You take such good care of us all---your garden of friends!
@-}-}-
Beautiful daffodils! I always wanted to plant a whole field of them. I used to have many but somehow they have all died out. I didn't take care of them.
I'm so glad you came to Xanga, Michel. Everyone in my family knows you and we talk about you like you are a longtime friend. I only came to Xanga in Oct. of 2001-Erin was blogging then and I decided to try it. It has really enriched my life also.
Hugs and thank you for your kind words on my blog.
Lisa
daffodils are the happiest flowers! dont worry, your english is a lot better than my french!
<3ashera
Franklish!!!
2001? That's 4 years! Mon Dieu! Daffodils to an (educated) Englishman means William Wordsworth in vacent or in pensive mood.
Hello, Michel:
Julie came by and let me know you were unable to download my site. I'm awfully sorry about that! I have removed the music and I hope you will now be able to download the page, as I do enjoy your visits and your lovely comments.
This is a wonderful post! I love the feeling of renewed hope that comes with spring and the blooming of the tulips and daffodils. Your photo evokes such serenity.
And yes, happy Xangaversary to you! It's so nice to read your posts, as they seem to come straight from your heart. And your English is really very good - certainly better than my Français pathetique! I think we are all very lucky you decided to join the blogging world and certainly we are grateful to have met such a wonderful friend!
Bonjour monsieur!
Bonne xanganniversaire, Michel.
Lise xo
Hey Michel!

Happy Xanganiversery, my friend.
~Derrol
You started out so humbly...and look how you have grown...just like the flowers in your garden.
The result of the war is also you discovering xanga;amazing!
Daffodils are very special flower, like little suns who keep the head down.
C'est ca!

Bon jardinage et grosses bises xanganniversaire !

I hear the same screams from my yard when I negect it too, Michel!
Well things have certainly come along way for you since you first began in Xanga.
Look at all the subscibers you have now!! I've really enjoyed meeting you here, and have thoroughly enjoyed reading your wonderful blogs!
I think your English is good, and I love the cute way you say things in English sometimes!
Happy Xangaversary Michel.
bonne xanganniversaire!...
The lawn, flowers and garden cry loudly in the spring, no? Where is your new web site? I hope you do not leave Xanga!
And by all the comments you receive, you have now developed quite a following. As a relatively new subscriber I must tell you I look forward to your new posts. Thank you and Happy Xanga-anniversary.
Congratulations on your Xanganiversary. Xanga is surely a good way to meet people and we probably would never have become friends without it. The daffodils in my yard are just starting to bud but Mom's have been blooming for more than a week and we only live about 3 miles apart. It's strange how they bloom at different times even in the same area.
Happy xanganiversary!

Wow...you certainly have come a long way! Beautiful photo Michel!
Happy Xangaversary! It's amazing how many friends we make on Xanga.
I'll be getting into my garden soon.
i love the picture!! its really pretty!!
haha, michael, you crack me up! the aids shot was a joke. this movie theater that my guy friends like to go to is dirty but they love going there because it's cheap..only $3.50. so i feel dirty from sitting on old seats and the floors are always sticky so sometimes we joke that we've contracted diseases from there...
as for scott-man. scott is my brother. he's 16 (he'll be 17 in 9 days) and just had knee surgery from a football injury. so he's in severe pain from that. scott-man is a nickname i've had for him since he was little.
so there you go..hope it somewhat cleared things up!! have a great day!
-becky
Hi Michel,
Such a pretty picture. I would love to have a whole field of daffodils. I will have to settle for a pot of them.
Happy Xangaversary!!! I am so glad that I have been able to meet you and get to know you. Your pictures and writings are inspiring. Thanks for being here, my friend.
(((hugs))) Char
Les jonquilles sont beau. <3
happy anniversary papa!
And now look at you Michel...one of the most beloved Xangans of all! A very Happy Xangaversary and many more my friend
lol, you're an alligator wrestler
Happy XangAnniversary!
Wild daffodils. Amazing. I wish my French was as good as your English. I always enjoy visiting your site because you either have a great picture, an insight into something special, news of your life or family, a poem, all of the above and/or so much more...... it seems like each time you find something interesting to post. Thanks for all your posts. Blessings, kc
Salve Michel, I have only been on Xanga a few months, I too am enjoying it so much. You are a real French STAR. Your english is good, considering, as you say that you don't speak it. Surely being on xanga has improved it immensly, I am trying to encourage my adult students to subscribe to Xanga, but they are not as brave as you have been. do you speak Italian?
RITA
I am just glad that you continue to blog from your xanga Michel! And I don't know how they say in France, but Happy April Fool's Day! Or Pesce d'Aprile as they say in Italy!
Tintin! Un rostbif est le premier...Mes Félicitations!
We have all come along way since our first posts. It is funny to look back on how we felt then. I, also have found many friends from all over the world. Xanga is a great place.

That was a great post Michel. The daffodils are beautiful. I'm certainly glad you're on xanga. I look forward every week to looking at your wonderful photography.....and your insightful posts.
i'm sure if you looked hard enough you might find another Frenchman. and the transcontinental connections really are nice. keep it copasetic. peace.
Hi Michel!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Oh, I know it! Whenever that information was forwarded to me from a friend, I thought it was scary stuff, too, so I just had to share it with others also and hope that the information might can help others, too, in some way!
Oh, yes, I do have a tendency to change my Xanga scenery from time to time.
Thanks again so much for your kind words!
((((Hugs))))
Happy Xanganniiversary Michel! Daffodils are my favorite flowers. They don't grow in Florida, though, but I still remember them popping up every spring in my mom's garden in Connecticut.
My friend Michel, Thank you for your comments at my site. I see we share a spring flower in our parts of the world---the daffodil! Yes, buttercup yellow in a hue so bright and even that they bloom glows amidst the fresh green grass. I see that the call of the garden cannot be denied. I shall look forward to pictures of your gardening in the coming weeks.
Merrow

daffodils are my favorite flowers?
Have a lovely day.
Oh my goodness......so many xangan friends all over the world. You are a treasure found for all of us. Stay near.
Happy Xangaversary, Michel. And thank you for the lovely picture of daffodils, they are one of my favorite flowers! Of course, Palm Sunday, as we call it here, was also Joshua's birthday and the first day of Spring. A happy day here! We are all praying for the Pope here, he is near death, a sad day for us all. Karen

You have come a very long way my dear friend! I so love your pictures and your stories and your descriptions. Your writings are so like poetry to me in that you are so descriptive. I love it! Happy Xangaversary ! ! ! ! late. I am so sorry I have been lax at visiting. I am nearly all the way in my home and then I will be haunting xanga on a regular basis. I hope that you have many many more years on xanga. Have a great day and a wonderful tomorrow ! ! ! I love your picture and the story that goes with it. As for the Pope, he will be sorely missed by one and all ! ! ! It was a great thing when he became Pope back in 78 I beleive. We will all miss him dearly! Much love and many hugs to you and Janine ! ! ! May you both sleep with the angels and wake up fully rested and ready for a brand new day ! ! !
Happy Xangaversary! I adore your blogs; I am so glad you decided to stay here at Xanga.

Clara
wow, your xanga has grown a lot since your first entries! you have a lot more subscribers, thats for sure! yes, i am very excited about being in a play where i am not enchanted or a household item!

J'aime beaucoup tes photographies, merci. Au revoir - j'espère.
thank you so much for ur comment, its beautiful!! =) and im so sorry that the Pope has passed away!
will have to check out this new xanga community.lov and hugs fancy

By the way, I have began posting on savannahxleigh again. I still use julystarsXx for more private matters, so feel free to comment on either one. Hope all is well with you!

The 4 friends above had just commented in the DOCUMENT under the blog of Saturday March 24 , 2001.!!!
I had to put them here at the real place . This is funny but it is true the error is understandable .
