En France ce 8 Mars c ' est la journée internationale des femmes.
Je rends hommage aux femmes de Xanga , si créatives et courageuses . et aussi aux autres de par le monde . Je pense spécialement à toutes les femmes de ma famille . La femme est l ' avenir de l ' homme disait le poète Aragon .
In France this 8th of March is the international women Day ..
I do homage to the Xanga women so creative and courageous - and also to the others in the world . I think especially of all the women of my family . Woman is the future of the Man , le French poet Aragon said .

As you know we here in the UK celebrated Women's World Day of Prayer last Friday, how strange that the organisers can't get the dates to coincide

I hope the bishop's visit goes well, is it so he can meet and greet parishioners ? Our bishops ( we have an Arch and 2 bishops here in the Liverpool Archdiocese ) visit about every three years, going to the schools and visiting the sick and housebound.

I did not know there was an International Womens Day. I think especially of my mother who is in her 100th year of life. She has seen so many things, endured so many events, and continues to be interested in all that is around her.

Sorry that I have not been around lately to visit, but had to stop by today to wish you a very Happy Birthday.
Hope you get some time to do a few of the things that you would like to do. I hope that does not include shoveling snow, like it did on my recent birthday. 
I had to really smile at your last comment about that. We are in the middle of another nor'easter right now, they are promising another 12 to 20 inches before it is over. I am afraid it will be a while before I can put my snow shovel away. 
I usually do not mind the snow too much, but right now I am ready for some of that beautiful spring weather and a few of those flowers, as pictured in your blog. Thanks for the nice tribute to women.

Sorry I haven't been stopping by like I used to. I have been working a lot lately and while I am grateful for the chance to pay my bills I still miss visiting the friends I have made on Xanga. I have been out of town for the most part of over a month. I am glad to see you are well. Looks as though you have been getting the snow we would normally be getting. Lately we haven't been getting near the moisture we should. In fact it's been years since a good snow storm and the frequency between the little storms we do get are becoming more rare. The last few days were warm enough folks wore no coats and were riding motorcycles all around.
