Je ne dois pas oublier que je suis le " leader " du blogring " kitchen garden = potager. Works and thoughts " . Voici donc quelques unes de mes productions dont je suis fier .( en toute modestie) . Je dois dire que mon jardin est argileux avec de nombreux silex . C ' est dur . Certains d ' entre vous ne cultivent qu 'un petit terrain ou même en pots . Mais les petits jardins font les grands jardiniers .
I must not forget that I am the " leader " of the blogring " kitchen garden = vegetable garden . Works and thoughts ". See on the side bar .. Here are some of my products whom I am proud ( with all the suitable modesty ). I have to say my garden is clay with flint implements . It is hard . Any of you grow flowers or vegetables in small surface and even in pots . But the small gardens make the grand gardeners .

Seeing those wonderful tomato plants remind me of childhood, when my mother had a wonderful garden with tomatoes, corn, green beans, okra and many other vegetables in our back yard. I can see that gardening brings you great pleasure, as well as yummy food!

Elles sont jolies les carrottes. Je suis certaine qu'il faut beaucoup de temps et de patience pour cultiver un si beau jardin. Il y a de quoi en être fier, Michel. C'est un vrai régal pour les yeux.

j'aime les fruits at les legumes dans ton jardin. en especialement, les pommes de terre sont assez choutte!
I think your garden looked good ,especially those carrots. i somehow think you enjoy eating food as well as growing it. Wish i could, food to me is just a way of staying alive .I wish they had invented a couple of pills that one could take each day and it gave every need. Still most people like to eat. I am just strange. Well i suppose I must have some drawback. Keep up the good work but don't overdo things ,enjoy your coming old age without health problems, thanks for your always kind remarks, not always deserved but appreciated .Love Marjie

I went to a place where people sell flowers in large quantities today. God, did I feel good for being there!!! I so want to have plants and flowers in the small sace I´ve got and see them grow..... Thanks for everything, Michel. Those of yours are gorgeous

Michel, you remind me very much of my own grandpa! He also enjoys gardening and is quite possibly the sweetest old man alive. He came to visit me yesterday because I tend to miss him greatly (he unfortunately lives in another state). Thank you for always bringing him to my mind!

Our grapes have already came and gone as the rest of the garden. We have tomatos and tommy toes (cherry type tomatos) left. Now I'll rest up during the winter.

Its wonderful how in France you all have veg gardens compared to people here . I remember travelling from Bolougne to Amiens seeing all the gardens I espeically remember veg gardens along the River / Canal side .

I've been reading in the news that the latest health fad is the Raw Food Diet. I am just having a hard time believing this and figured that maybe some big corporation is behind the media in over-hyping the whole thing. I posted a comic on this and would like to know, what is your opinion on the RFD?

I am looking forward to planting my summer vege garden the end of October - thats when we plant (usually) in NZ. At the moment i have yams, winter lettuce, cabbage, silver beet and thats it for the winter garden. Ohh broad beans coming along - slowly. I love to grow salad veges. Have you ever grown eggplant? I try and they flower, but never fruit.

what a wonderfully scrupmptous looking garden...it is tended with much love we can see...your tomatoes look so tempting...i think i will make myself a tomatoe and mayonaisse sandwich with black pepper...but mayonaise isn't good for cholestrol...drats...you have left me salivating and hungry...giggles...I think my guinea pigs wouldh ave a field day with your carrots...yes...i like to think that they are engaged...I am watching them now and they seem veyr contented with each other...thank you for your visit...many huggs...Sassy

we have clay here too.. Beautiful vegetables... One thing I can't get to grow in my yard is squash, not till I change out all the soil or build more very large areas for them to escape the nematodes (or whatever the little things are that attack them in this original dirt) Gardening is fun, I enjoy the work and the rewards

Oh, how wonderful and yummy! I will jump in my car and be right over for some of that delicious soup and salad.
Seriously, my garden has not done well this year at all. I have had quite a few tomatoes and zucchini, but very few cucumbers, or anything else.
I am surprised to see my grape vines are spreading all over the place, but not one grape on them.
Last year they were loaded.
Our newspaper yesterday states that it has rained about every other day here, all summer long. It has also been cool, so afraid my garden did not do too well.
You should be proud of all your hard work, those carrots do look good. I love to grate them into all my salads, including Pasta Salads. I think I will have to go now and make my favorite carrot salad...

We are enjoying the tomatoes from our garden right now. They are so delicious! Your carrots look wonderful, too. We do not grow them anymore, but we have potatoes and onions.

Lovely Michel just lovely! I planted carrots for the first time this year. I am happily amazed at how well mine are doing. The mer fact that mine grew from seeds is too wonderful. I've decided to harvest mine while they are young and tender. I'm going to use mine along with some home grown tomatoes and peppers in a stew once the weather turns a bit cooler. The joy of fresh veggies from one's own garden is what summer is all about. Take care dear friend.
Michel, Alayna elected Myke and I to name her cats for her. Myke named the black one Mace as in the Jedi Knight Mace Windu from the new Star Wars movies. I named the blonde one Siddalee from the book "The Devine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood".

How wonderful to reap the harvest of one's gardening efforts! We eat fresh things in Alaska this time of year - the remainer of the food is canned and vacuum-frozen. My garden is at an end due to morning frost. Today I took in the last of the beans.

The beauty of a garden is a sight to behold. To raise one's own vegetables would be a pleasure. Here we do not have enough sun to raise any vegetables...does not get warm enough. I will enjoy through your garden

Wow! That vegetables cost too high here in Japan. I love carrots..I eat them raw especially if fresh. And that ones in the picture made my mouth watery. Wish I could cook & eat veggies from my own garden. You must be very happy preparing your vegetable soup..it's the prize of your good labor. Such an inspiration to us. I have enjoyed your garden today. The carrots are short and fat. Are they sweet? The tomatoes reminded me of a time I grew tomatoes too...how many there were...so much that i learned how to eat fried green tomatoes. Even then the tomatoes froze on the vine one cold October night.

Regarding your question on my site: I grew my tomatoes in Akron Ohio and Chicago Illinois, both in the USA. One year in Chicago, I used the excess woodshavings from which had the pee of a pet guinea pig. That was an incomparable year for a bountiful harvest

it is nice of you to update for 9/11. it seems like it happened a long time ago, not only 3 years.
the doctors have told me that my catscan came back clear and that the pain i have experienced is all due to an illness called endometriosis. i was diagnosed with this at the young age of 14, although i had been having symptoms since i was 12. it is an illness common among older women, so i am a rare case indeed! it is possible that i may need to have surgery for it again, and i thank you for your concerns. i hope to have this all solved before my 19th birthday in december.

Answer to savannahxleigh and beachgirl : yes I have up dated my blog on the 9/11 . On this awful day all of the people of the whole world was American and shared the pain caused by this tragedy . I wish the responsibles of this massacre were arrested and judged , at last .

The garden is a place of poestry, it is like the gerden of Eden. It is almost a pity to have to cut the tomatoes and the grapes and to pull the carotts from the ground.
I agree with the automm being a very nice for a gardener if he did cultivate his field properly...
