My name is Brady and I live in Canada . I am Brady I caught a cold . Someone put a blanket on my back to keep me warm . I don' t think this has been crocheted or knitted but this is comfortable . I had a companion Max , a Golden retriever like me but he passed away more a year ago on the 28th of February 2002 . I miss him very much . My masters give my all of their affection and take care of me very well . They called me " the boy " . So they are like my " Dad "and my "Mom " . This last one is an expert in knitting and crocheting . It is why I wondered if the blanket had been knitted . I am happy . On the picture I look half asleep . Don' t believe that . I ponder . I ponder on the meaning of the life , the fiendship , the trust . It ' s important for me . I ponder also over the weird mankind behaviour . You see , I am a philosopher dog . And I see all of things . For example behind the screen of your monitor I look at you …. and tell you Hi !
Il me manque beaucoup .

Feast day
This last 8th of may we celebrated at our home our oldest granddaughter Julie ' s 16th birthday . . Here is , she goes down the stairs wearing a T - shirt where the words " joyeux anniversaire JULIE " are written .
We had of course a good meal with Champagne , Burgundy Pommard 1991 and Bordeaux St Emilion 1982 . Afterward we needed to take fresh air in the garden and the backyard . You understand that easily , I think .. At this occasion our oldest son Thierry ( on the right on the second picture ) invented a new game : the Fauquet ' s soccer danse .
Je surveille le tir de deux de mes petits enfants I supervise two of my grandchildren who make a shot
Then we led the grand children to the feast of the quarter . They wanted carbin shooting . The goal is to hit small balloons that move fastly to any directions . It was a pleasure for them and they have to be clever .
Et finalement le grand père tira aussi . Une balle , un ballon ! Eh oui !
Jour de joie !
And finally the grand father shooted too . One bullet , one balloon ! Eh yes !
Day of joy . !

England in front of my gateway .

It ' s not every day I have a British taxicab in front of my house photo M.FauquetApril 2003
On a day of the last April I saw a weird and unexpected thing parked in front of my gateway , an unthinkable thing : a black English taxicab . Seeing such a car in front of my house in Amiens in France was amazing . Did I dream ? No , it was really an authentic british taxicab . I think everyone knows these vehicules so typically british . Only the English people are able to make such a machine : this is their genius . I was as much amazed as to see a Bobby wearing his helmet or a scottish piper in my driveway !

What a pleasure to get into . Photo M. Fauquet April 2003

An happy man photo Fauquet 2003
This taxicab have just been bought by my daughter ' s friend ( the one wearing a white sweater on the first picture ) . Whith an enormous enthousiasm I get into the car and sat at the place of the driver . Of course the wheel was on the right ! What a strange sensation ! At my side it was a wonderful copper fire extinguisher with a big hand . The Englishes have the sense of the work well done

Then I get in the rear . What a space ! 4 or 5 passengers can stay there easily . They are separated from the driver by a pane of glass and they have the leisure to read the placards in front of them or again to dream to the charms of the Margate ' s beach .The taxicab came from Kent ( England ) . Margate is situated near Dover and Canterbury . .
I was enchanted . I love the old British fashionable things . And I add the new owner was going to drive this vehicule to the south of France on the same day . Unbelievable ! You see I don' t need to travel abroad , the foreign things come to me !

Vendredi - Saint dans un village de France .
Good Friday in a village of France .

Départ de l ' église Start from the church photo by Michel Fauquet April 2003
On the last Good Friday , the 18th of April 2003 , I attended the Way of the Cross in a small village by Amiens ( Picardy , France ) . It was outside .

Une des stations One of the stations photo by Michel Fauquet April 2003
The 14 stations relating the Passion , the death and the entombment of Christ were figured by small wooden white- painted crosses planted on the side of a steep street . We stopped at every station to hear the scriptures and pray

Walking on a street of the village gave us the impression not only of a commemoration but also of an event in the present time in our personal life or in the international events . The responsability of the death of Jesus ? The response was : every time in the past or nowadays when one destroyes the friendship , when the powerful ones despise the poor and take advantage of them , one kills Jesus

Au Calvaire At the Calvary photo Michel Fauquet April 2003
After the way of the Cross we went to the huge Calvary , monument erected on the high of the village . Christ , eternal poor , eternal loser has been crucified such a robber . He will triumph on the third day after ( Easter ). Death whatever your forms where is your victory ? For the Christians the Cross is a sign of hope of life and not of death .. How much it is awful one has killed under its name during the history !
I thank my readers who left comments or e.mails of encouragment during my break .
Michel
