Ô Perce - Neige !
Je vous connais depuis des années ,
Au même endroit vous apparaissez .
Le dur hiver, point vous ne craignez
Et , à l ' heure dites vous survenez ,
Sempiternels .
Malgré l ' hivernale rigueur
Vous étalez vos blanches fleurs.
Nous vous croyions morts et desséchés
Mais chaque année vous revivez ,
Immortels .
Eternel

O Snow - drop !
I know you for so many years ,
At the same place you do appear .
Of the winter , you aren' t in fear
And at time you always are here ,
Sempiternal .
In spite of this so hard winter
You are blooming your white flowers .
We believed you were dried and dread
But every year you rise your head
Immortal .
I admire your tenacity ,
Your humble and simple beauty .
Do you tell us hope and peace above ?
Are you the sign of the nascent Love ?
Eternal .

Thank you for sharing your beautiful words and photos with us!
Wow... thats a really lovely poem... thanks for sharing
You are so talented with both words and images. I'm amazed how you can present your poem equally eloquently in both French and English. (Rather rare for a Frenchman, I dare say
)
What a beautiful picture accompanied by an even more beautiful poem! You're very talented. Thanks for sharing your gift with us, I really enjoyed it. God bless!
Much love, ~Savannah~
Peace and love and hope
A very beautiful poem Michel!! One that shows there is hope - springing to us now

vraiment joli, michel
la poésie et l'image!
merci
Lovely!
I have been thinking of mine, buried beneath a 4 ft snowbank beside the front step and wondering when I will see them again.
Such beauty is a joy after the bleak winter. Each is beautiful in its own way, but now our hearts seek the color and charm of the first flowers. Your poem does justice to the lovely photograph.
Carol
very beautiful.
Great Poem Michel my friend!!
I can't wait to see flowers popping out like that, But I fear we have a few more weeks to get rid of this snow b4 we see anything so nice! TC!!
Thank you Michel. Your words bring feelings to me that I can't express. Guy

Lovely and Inspiring! Hopeful!
A beautiful poem! It gives us hope for spring and also other things....
What a wonderful sharing of your world and the flowers of hope. They are lovely. Today I went out and really looked at my flowers and made myself realize the beauty that is there amongst the worry I am feeling. Thank you for reinforceing my feelings
What a wonderful poem, Michel!
I love snowdrops. We have a few here now too, adn crocuses and soon daffodils. Spring is so renewing.
Awwww... you are soooo artsy... first the garden, and now this beautifully written poem.
Bonjour Michel.
I wonder if they know that they are so beautiful,do you speak to them?
Carlo

MuSe
Beautiful! Thanks for the gorgeous picture, too!
vous avez écrit une belle poéme. c'est un hommage merveilleux à quelque chose que we take for granted... God bless~!!
Very fine poem and photograph Michel. There are large groups of snowdrops in our local public park at the moment. i try to look at them often because they will not be there for much longer. Tom
Thank you once again for reminding us that there is hope....for spring, for peace...for us all
Oh!
Good morning, Michel!!! What a nice feeling to come on your site and be greeted by such a beautiful poem, complete with a beautiful picture. You are certainly very talented.
With the weather we are having, I am afraid it will be a while before I am able to see any of my flowers in bloom. Thanks for the beautiful preview, it does give me hope of things to come.
Love
Edie Rose
wow... very beautiful
Merci.
I had forgotten about the beautiful snow drops! My grandmother had them in her garden when I was a child. Thank you for the lovely photo and poem that really brightened by day! You are so talented! Have a delightful weekend!
Magnificent poetry, my friend. You've really got a talent for it, don't you? Have a wonderful weekend! Cheers, Neil
I have snowdrops in my garden too, Before he died my husband used to record yearly, the date when he saw the first one - a foretaste of Spring. Thank you for the poem - it rivals Wordsworth's Daffodils. Perhaps in time it will become as well known
The pureness, the beauty, the renewal they represent...the advent of spring, the release of winter, the glory of God! C'est magnifique!
Tellement jolie! Merci beaucoup!
This is very sweet. The poem and the photo just make one stop to reflect on the love our creator Jehovah God has for we humans.
You are a wonderful poet Michel! A true inspiration
Bon jour, that was lovely my cuddly one, I liked both the photo and your words. Thanks for answering my most boring two blogs. I hope to do better soon. Cheers
Marjie

(((((((Michel & Family))))))) What a lovely poem! Thanks for sharing that with us.
I don't have to worry about snow here in the Sunshine State of Florida.. but I sure feel bad for my friends who live in the north. Yikes. Poor folks.
Have a good weekend and get out there to do something just for YOU!
Hiya. Well, the history I have with Mickey is very complicated and would take about 3 hours to explain lol so I'll give you the summed up version. I met him online through a mutual friend that went to my church, and after a few months we met at her birthday party. We actually dated for a month after gettin to know eachother, but it kinda fell apart. We were really messed up for a long time because I still had major feelings for him and he kinda dumped me over the phone, the last time I saw him face to face we were still "together". Well a year and a half later when Brian's accident happened (got in a bad car wreck, he's Mickey's best friend) I saw Mickey at the hospital for a few minutes and we kinda found some closure. I've finally been over him for about a month now (I've known him for 2 years) and we're like family. So yea, I hope that helps you to understand. Sorry my life is so confusing, maybe I should just refer to it as The Savannah Soap Opera lol. Much love and I hope to hear from you again!
God Bless, ~Savannah~
thats a lovely picture that you took!
Beautiful! Do you have any extra sunshine? If so, send some my way.
Spring, I so want spring. Many hugs Michel and thank you for the beauty in the flowers and your poem.
Thank you for commenting on my blog. I know nobody who is in favour of the war and i think the government are making a serious mistake in going against the will of the people. I am sure that our government will join the Americans in attacking Iraq eventually. We live in worrying times again. Tom
what a beautiful poem you have wrote here, michel! *sincere applause from me* i'm enthralled. lovely picture too. you're clearly made up of so many things. a very creative individual. i'm in awe.
Michel! That photograph is absolutely brilliant, it looks like it belongs on the cover of a book!
The poem is equally amazing--I love hearing your thoughts about these seemingly simple things, partially because you think so deeply and honestly about these simple things, and partially because you express them so beautifully! Thank you for once again sharing these beautiful things with us.
Just wanted to say "Salut!"
We haven't seen the sun since the 14th of Feb and here it is March 1st here in Nashville. Tennesse usually has flowers by now but we have had way too much rain.
What a beautiful photograph and poem Michel, you amaze me with your artistry.
Love,
Brenda
i love that picture - so vivid! and that poem...it was so wonderful, i can't even put it into words. i look forward to reading more!
beautiful
*our birthdays are coming up
*
Oh How nice! Michel, your pics are always so clear and bright. This one of the flowers has competition though, from the pics on your last blog.
Those grandchildren are absolutly beautiful! I think they have a bit of grandpa in each of them, but especially the rascal regard on the wee one of only 2 years old!
I loved the poem. I am considering opening a NEW Xanga site and making it be for less personal things like what we are doing and making it more a site for writing. I am not certain yet what to do about this and what name I shall use. Much to ponder. I love seeing your family like this in pictures. Everyone looks so happy. It is good to have family.
Muchos abrazos,
Deb and Mike
That was such a beautiful poem, lovely picture as well, I can't wait for spring to come this year.
Have a nice day!
What a great poem! =D, you kinda remind me of Peter -.-, (mekillsyou)

What a gorgeous picture!!! Hope you are doing well and that you and your family are happy!!!
Beautiful.
Beautiful lines...Michel. sn't it amazing..how often we tend to ignore the power & beauty of nature, lost in our own joys & worries.
Its really lovely how you observe simple things & pleasures of life & share it with us. Bless you
Yes, aren't they wonderful?
I saw them yesterday in some gardens....
Have a nice sunday!

I am late !!! every one else seems to of been here but me . A lovely poem , its been a lovely weekend here ,very spring like but they say its going to rain tomorrow
Merci
Hi. beautiful picture and it was good to see you. Sometimes the Why's are hard to answer.Although it seems like the Americans wanna jump on the French and Germans I cant. Isn't that what Democracy is all about? The right to disagree and go on. You have a great day..
beautiful michel!!! the first sign that spring is near!!!!!! look how vivid the colour is!!!
Ohhhh so pretty!!! Aren't they lovely little flowers? It's starting to feel almost spring like here.. well, that's a little premature perhaps, but the days are noticeably longer and brighter
Yes, I'm Australian but my father is English.. I always back Australia though
I wasn't always an armchair sports fan either ~ I used to compete with my horses, eventing and showjumping and pretty much everything else in between
I think my parents must've been pretty brave!
***smiles***
You made me smile again.... beautiful on the picture...haha!!!!!
What's that in french? "Je me sourire encore"?
I know you for years,
In the same place you appear.
The hard winter, you are not afraid
And, in of arranged hours you arise,
Perpetual.
In spite of wintry rigour
You display your white flowers.
We considered in you dead and dried out
But every year you revive,
Immortal.
I admire your tenacity,
Your discreet and simple beauty.
You announce - we are the hope and the peace?
Are you the sign of the Love which is born,
Eternal?
C'est très beau. Les mots si beaux. La pensée si douce. Mon ami, vous me faites soupirer heureusement.
Beautiful! I can't believe you can write poetry in English. I'm afraid of what I might say if I tried writing in another language. It would probably end up something like, "You are lovely, my fine hunk of suet..." I think I'd better stick with English
I thank CatInTheMist to have written above a version in better English than I did .
Michel
AWH SHOOT MICHEL I THOUGHT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT ME LOL. JUST KIDDING . I WILL BE THANKFUL TO SEE SPRING. HUGS FANCY
supernaturally beautiful!
I'm fighting for peace in my emailgroups and on other places of the internet..yes.
Wish I could talk to your president and tell him that he has to stand up against the bombings in the no-fly zone.
They're targetting all installations that can harm them if they march into the country.
I see this already as an act of war..and I see none of the international community stand up against it. That worries me.
And how about America marching in a country that cannot even defend itself at about the same level????
Hugggssss
Amicalement,
--Viktoro
It's a beautiful thing, that the flower hints and points us to eternity. Peace.
you knock me out with how amazing you are! keep it up! because that was very beautiful...

When you join March of Dimes WalkAmerica, you bond together with millions of others in the fight to defeat premature birth. Today in the U.S., 1,305 babies will be born prematurely. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. In almost half the cases, the causes of premature birth are unknown. A wonderful poem, Michel!! My snowdrops bloomed in January this year. I wish I had pondered them like you do in this poem. Flowers really do illustrate the cycles of life, don't they??

Lisa
