I see that even with wine you are very diplomat , yo u take the four region of France, Champagne, Alsace, Bordeaux and Bourgogne, the greates wine regions of France, you must be proud of it.

I have had some very fine French wines over the holiday. The most popular with my guests was a fine Gerwertztraminer from Alsace. It had a floral bouquet and a crisp flavour. Delicious! Tom

Michel, I can well imagine myself sitting in a cafe drinking and toasting with you, my friend! I think I would make a really good "wino" as I love the stuff....I like Champagne and also Pouilley Fousse (spelling??) and sweet wines especially....to me a sip of wine and some kisses are the best....can't get much better than that!

Ah, Pinot d'Alsace - lovely memories of our holiday near Wissembourg in 1994 - and Bordeaux Mont St. Emilion - more happy memories of a scorching summer holiday at Eymet in July 2001.
Back to France for two weeks in February - Rouen in Normandy - can't wait
My artist husband would happily move to the Dordogne .....
