L ' arrosage des fleurs
Watering of flowers
Pictures of Manon ( 4 years old ) then Antoine ( 2 years old ) : 2 grand children
Pictures taken by J.B. Fauquet July 04 . English version after the text in French

Michel Fauquet juillet 2004

Is there more wonderful show
Than seeing this graceful child
Watering flowers sown or wild .
Inside, I felt that like a blow .
Is she already thinking
The plants are living beings ,
So all of them need drinking .
It ' s why she is watering .
Of course, her young brother
Wanted to do the same
In spite of the clutter .
For him water is game .

What amazingly beautiful pictures. and I do like the poem in English but I love it en Francais, the rhythm being just a touch more magical in the patterns of your native language.
what beautiful photos and poem=) et merci pour la texte en anglais!
What a darlin' you are to share these precious grandchildren with us. The poem is so sweet.
Well done Michel you are starting to get your grandchildren interested in nature at a very young age.

Your grandchildren are adorable. Oh! you must have such a good time with them

The poem is very good. Wow, you are a poet, amazing!!
Michel,

What lovely photos of your grandchildren
Children can spend many happy hours watering a garden . Thomas and Alice always ask " Nanny Marie " if she wants her gardening watering
THEY ARE SO CUTE MICHAEL!!!
Your poems are beatiful.
*hugs*
Such a nice entry. I always enjoy hearing about your grandchildren! I love their youth!
The circle of life. It's truly a wonder isn't it Michel? To watch as your beautiful grandchildren water the plants. Much as you have started your family these adorable children carry on the task. Water for the plants to live and lovely grandchildren to carry on the family. You are a blessed man. I have missed your natural love for life. It's good to be back at my home with my family. Many hugs dear friend.
One of the childhood joys for my children was Daddy using the hosepipe to water the garden and them
And now Thomas and Alice spend hours geting water from the butt and watering EVERYTHING, themselves included. Beautiful photos, beautiful children
Lovely poem. You have excelled yourself today.
Marie
The innocense and soft beauty of children make life worth living. You are so truly blessed with this. Thank you for sharing these photographs with us and for the smile you afforded me...many huggs my dear friend...Sassy
amazing poem...your pride in them shows...
How cute! They look like very good helpers
My goodness Michel, they are such beautiful children! And what a lovely poem you wrote about them.
You have lovly grand children! thanks for sharing!
How adorable is SHE? Oh my goodness....beautiful! You're so blessed.
Is there anything more wonderful than children enjoying themselves? Nothing I know makes me happy to be near death than the knowlege someone else has started to learn how to enjoy life.
How gorgeous your grandchildren are, Michel!
You've captured them beautifully here.
Manon looks so caring in this picture, as she waters the plants.
Manon is a most charming little girl. She reminds me of a storybook illustration for a nursery rhyme book. Mary, Mary, how does your garden grow? Antoine looks very much like my grandson Nathan at that age (he is now a big boy of 6).
Carol Suzanne
These are beautiful children.
your granddaughter Manon is as beautiful as a painting!
theyre lovely. Dont you think it is the right time to get one? lol : )
You have a beautiful granddaughter and handsome grandson; watching a child do something as simple as watering a plant can be magical.
there is no more wonderful a show than this- seems like all children like playing in water and flowers...
)
Well done Michel ....writing poetry in English is no mean feat. I cannot do that and I am English. Great pictures too...hope you are keeping well Ron
Manon is lovely, a wisp of a child, and your grandson is so cute, copying and seeking the attention of Manon and you!
...beautiful!!!
Kudos to Janine and you - precious moments captured forever with words and photos!
MuSe

propz...caught you on featured again...congrats
I don't know what is nicer: the photo's ,the french rhymes or the english ones. You are really amazing.
Did you write first in French then translate, or the other way round, first English then translate.
Bien à toi,
Carlo
Manon looks so focused on what she is doing. its a great picture. for some readon i couldn't see Antoine's picture. The poem's decsiption makes me really curious.
have a good week
I like to watch european football on the olympics and gymnastics.
Answer to carlo : To answer to your question , I have written the poem in English , first . Then I wrote the poem in French but not word to word . I have only translated the sense on the poem . And I always want rhymes and even the number of syllables as much as possible .(rhythm )
truly, lovely + darling grandchildren!
Cher Michel,
Oui, je vais bien. J'ai deja t'ecrit une lettre hier -- quel coincidence! Quels beaux photos. Manon et Antoine sont mignonnes!

I don't speak a whole lot of French, I am still bad at it, but I am very interested in French culture and the French in general! I saw you are from France, so i wanted to say "hi".
The children are more precious than the flowers, you are lucky to have them ,and see them. Love Marjie

Oh the joy and the pang of the heart with seeing the little ones and the soil. It is so important for them to understand the earth and what it yeilds...good for you Michel and Janine...for showing the children the importance
we cannot eat pavement
Your grandchildren are beautiful! We had two of our grandchildren here over the weekend. It is such a joy to watch the young people in your family growing up!

hello michael. beautiful poems and wonderful pictures. take it easy. your friend -dave
What is it about Manon's little expressions that draw me to her? She's absolutely beautiful. I tried to capture her in paint, but she's too pretty. Only a great master could do it.

Michel, you really have an artist's eye and a very sensitive heart!
ah, hello michel!!!i hope that youa and your family are well!! your grandchildren are so beautiful!!!
Put something up about my grandson tonight!
This is such a beautiful post Michel.

What wonderful children and your poem is very true, little girls have the nurturing aspect of the flowers and water and little boys see water as a game. Perfectly done Michel!
Those Grandbabies are just beautiful and graceful . You are indeed a very lucky man.
Michel, I was in Hawaii for my sisters wedding from the 8th till the 20th of May. The wedding was lovely but it rained the entire day which is unusual for Hawaii. There were about 200 guests and the orchids were everywhere. The honeymoon beach house was where we all hung out and the seagreen ocean was so incredible. The odd part was the rain for that time of year. I have been there three times, in October and in March and now May and I think January thru March are my favorite. (when the whales are there) and the waves are for the surfers.
Sorry it took so long to answer, I have been sidetracked with car problems. I always enjoy reading your site. It's my favorite xanga page.
Love, Brenda
What wonderful helpers your grandchildren are! They look to be enjoying themselves very much.
I graduated this past spring from high school, and now I plan to take a year off. I want to get a job and save up money for taking classes at a college. I would like to be a novelist!
I hope all is well with you this weekend.
<3
What a lovely pictures of your beautiful grandchildren! And your poem is perfectly written...full of life that goes to show it comes from the heart. You're so blessed.

Take care & God bless you always!
Thanks for your 2 cents and for checkin my page! Guess it is just really normal to ask so many questions. Have a wonderful day ahead! Hope to read more entry from you sir! Ciao!
No, am not missing from those pics. the only girl in those pics is me!!!
Kids are great!!!!
I didn't know you were in france when I first commented on your site I simmply saw the pics and couldn't resist telling you how much I enjoyed them!
Now that I know I'm very curious how things are over there. I've been as close as London but never on the main land I'll bet there is a world of difference.
What sort of subjects are your nieghbors all talking about?
Thanx!
Thank you for your kind words and thoughts during my sickness, Michel. It means a lot to me. How quickly you have become one of my dear Xangan friends.
Beautiful post. Your grandchildren are simply gorgeous. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Oh, these pictures are just precious! Manon and Antoine are taking good care of your flowers. Katie has a garden of 2 sunflowers that she has been weeding and watering this summer. She is thrilled with her tall flowers and claims that she will be a gardener when she grows up. To all the children, water is a game. They will spend hours in the yard with a garden hose, a small pool and the sandbox!
ha! you dont like too much hemoglobin? did i crack you up? im just trying to be funny! how old are you by the way if you dont mind asking me your age. What makes you busy? Oh guess have to go before i throw you with so much question
Thanks for droppin by!

What beautiful grandchildren you have, Michel. They are very adorable, and I know you are very proud of them. Sorry I haven't been around my friend, I've been very busy. When I'm in Germany next month, I may try to take a weekend in Brussels.
Wonderful words and pictures!!!
rr
Your granddaughter does indeed looks as if she is making certain all of the plants get a drink. It almost seems as though she is humming as she goes about it. She takes joy in her work.
Her little brother looks mischevious, as if he may aim the bottle & squirt you with it! You must be the perfect grandpapa.
Merci.

They are adorible hope your all doing well love and hugs your way .
What a beautiful blog!!! Your grandchildren are adorable and your pride in them shines through your poem. They have obviously watched their grandfather work so hard in his beautiful garden. HOw wonderful it is that they have such a knowledge of what plants and flowers need. They look as though they appreciate the garden and know of its powers. Simply lovely Michel!
Love
Sarah
Hello my friend, I look forward to catching up on the past events of your summer. I was extremely busy all season and unable to stop by for a visit. With luck and a little persistance I will be able to stop by more frequently now. I hope you are in good health.
Beautiful!! I wonder sometimes, too, if Chase can grasp that plants are living things...
I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while. Things will calm down in a couple of weeks after Robin's wedding.
We have been camping, having company, planning for the wedding, and I have had several art jobs on top of all of that.
Hope you are well!!
Hugs,
Lisa
Thank you Michel. Australia did do very well in the Games, I am proud of our athletes, but I applaud all the athletes who managed to compete...no matter what the country. I certainly couldn't do it, and it must be a wonderful experience to be a part of any Olympic Games. I just get annoyed at how Australians (or at least the Australian media) can't seem to admit that someone else can do something as well as, or even better than, us. Surely if you do your best, and it's a success, then that's enough. It doesn't matter what anyone else does in the future.
I wish you a wonderful week.
Chris.
Beautiful children , beautiful flowers "God's greatest gifts" lov and hugs fancy

Aren't grandchildren wonderful? They are so cute.
Hey hope all is well your way dear one hugs
starting early to appreciate nature...so lovely sir
Thanks for all the answers. By the way, that poem you made for them is really sweet. Got nieces and nephews too - kids are really wonderful. Dont have much for this day. Just paying you a visit. Take care - hug and kisses to your grandchildren! And Thumbs up to their Grandfather! STAY QOOL!
The are beautiful children. You know if sometimes i think about my own child and then i think to myself that if i didnt have my parents, granparents ect there wouldn't be a me. There had to be a them before me. Ok sometimes i have way to much time to myself. LOLOLOL. Take care.
Thank you for stopping by Michel!
Your grandchildren are adorable as always, and I especially enjoyed your poem! =]
Lovely poems
I appreciate especially because it helps me see how you can play with the language, which learners of French sometimes don't get in formal lessons!
The photos are nice too, especially the one of Manon. Her expression is just picture-perfect!
such precious children! You are blessed!
