  • GENERATION .

English version below the picture .

On last Thursday at our home were staying around the table 8 of our grandchildren and one of their friends . They looked like young plants around that table . And they had good appetite .

I had clearly the impression to see a new generation growing with strenght . Besides the tree oldest ( Julie , Simon and Thomas ) and the youngest , Clementine were missing . The oldest were going to eat with the adults .

It was pleasant to see .

  • Absolutely beautiful children. You must be a proud grandfather. I still sit at the kid table when given the chance. It's much more fun that way.

  • Adorable, Michel.... and these seeds are the result of the first good ones you have planted... Proud to see, hmm? I wonder If I´ll ever be blessed with such a wonderful thing. Thanks for sharing

  • une famille belle ( i mean to say "a beautiful family", but I'm not sure.)

  • The children are darling!  I bet you enjoyed listening into their conversations.

  • Beautiful children! They are the future. When I see these children, I am hopeful. They look wonderful and happy!

  • How beutiful to see them sitting all together.(There also a Simon!)
The youth is the future of the world.
When grandfather Michel tells stories,he must have a very big audience.

  • It is a wonderful sight!  You must be so proud.

  • I think in seeing these beautiful children all sitting around the dinner table, obviously enjoying the fellowship of each other (& the one taking the picture), it lets us know that life will go on...long after we are no longer in the picture, so to speak.

Part of the reason I enjoy working in the schools is the lively spirit I get from children, their take on the world, their excitement (usually) about life.  They keep me on my toes and feeling alive.....wouldn't you agree??

Always enjoy seeing your pics, especially when it includes your family....thank you, Michel!!  Hope you have a wonderful week!!

  • What a wonderful group of grandchildren Michel . Its funny how all the boys are on one side of the table and the girls the other side . I notice that you have a gallery of your family up on your walls as well

  • les enfants sont très mignons!

  • What a joy to have so much of your family with you enjoying this relaxing summer time of year.

I am looking forward to two of my grandchildren visiting at the beginning of next month.

    Your friend, Carol Suzanne

  • For some reason, I can't see the picture... NOOOO!

  • What beautiful children! Like flowers in a garden!

  • Your house looks full of love with all your grandchildren Michel, and pictures over your walls and sideboards! You're right, they are like plants, growing and spreading out.

  • Very pleasant to see.

  • looks like a lovely gathering!

  • All I can do is smile. I guess when God give us grandchildren, we know he really loves us.

  • It's so nice to look at the future generation and see them at a time of peace and I wonder if they will ever get to see a peaceful world when they're young. I also found the wine tasting interesting. I'm not a big wine buff, yet, only because I can't drink (I'm only 19). But I do know how important wine is to some people.

  • sometimes when you take a look around, you can't help but smile how the young co-exist with the adults. i'm somewhere stuck in the middle! yet i feel so old..

  • Ah to be a child and sitting at Monsieur Fauquet's table to have fun!

You guys must be the greatest.

  • what a beautiful family you have  Michel.. <a href="http://www.xanga.com/">

  • It's amazing to see that most of your grandchildren are around the same age! I bet they must bring a lot of joy into your life :) I can't help but notice that the boys and girls are separated, which I find funny because I remember thinking boys were "gross" at that age. heh.

I hope all is going well with you this week.

  • How cute they are! They are your pride and joy...and I am still (not patiently, however!!) waiting for grandchildren!

  • "Ils ressemblaient à de jeunes plantes"? Pas vraiment, Michel :D

  • Ça me plairait bien une table comme cela joliment entourée de petits-enfants !!! :)
Bisous et Bon appétit à tous !
    Amitiés

  • I love having the grandchildren here, one of the blessings of " old age " Sadly three of mine moved away so now I have 5 away from Widnes Your family are certainly beautiful - well the boys are handsome ( don't want to insult them ) Marie

  • Note : I received a long message of advertising from WILLIAM_HUNGG having no relation with my blog . The same for the last blog . I delete of course but how is it posible on Xanga ?

  • I'm listening to a 4CD set of Edith Piaf songs. Includes my favourite "Monsieur Lenoble" and "Non, Je Regrette Rien" (on next!)

bon appétît does not really translate into English. We only say that someone has a good appetite when we are too polite to say they are being greedy!

Pardon me for that English lesson, I don't mean it rudely, it is just a fact!

  • I enjoy seeing your family pictures...makes me think I would like to share in one of your gatherings!!

  • Damn! I want to have you're life when I retire. Retiring sounds so fun. I seriously want to retire now. :D And you seem to be surrounded by so many lovely people.

  • they grow so fast don't they sir!

  • hi michel

    ann

  • gorgeous little blooms. all gangly and wishful and ready to go!

  • Hi Michel, hope you're enjoying your summer.  Sorry I havent dropped by for awhile.

A beautiful picture and it must be a pleasure to see your grandchildren grow up so fast.

  • It is a wonderful thing to see what our blood has brought into the world and will live on as a legacy to us in the long future.  Heartwarming, love, humility and pride all come to mind Nancy

  • What a lovely picture!  We enjoy spending time with our grandchildren, too.  We will see them on Sunday.  We only have 3, though.

  • what a beautiful picture! Been seeing a lot of castles online for sale. One day I will buy one!!! And move Solon and Bunzilla! over there!

  • hi.. i tumbled upon your site somehow and i love it! i'm taking french in school so i think reading your entries will really help me out..
Je m'appelle Carol. J'ai seize ans.

  • You are so lucky to have all your family get togethers i do envy you .Me with 12 Grandchildren and at least 14 Greats ,and 4 children hardly ever see a soul .It is a great disappointment to me. Thanks for all your faithful comments. I have to keep offf of here at times because of phone messages, so not been visiting so often .Take Care .Love Marjie

  • This is such a lovely picture Michel. Thank you for sharing with us.

  • Such a lovely picture of beautiful children. I can tell how lucky and proud you are as a grandfather. Btw, I came from dear Fancy's site. Hoping you're having a wonderful time. onella

  • What a cute little bunch!  I hope to have lots of grandbabies someday too

  • Hi! Thank you so much for commenting back. Yeah, Fancy is my online friend..we've been exchanging messages for quite sometime now and I'm hoping that I could meet her in person someday. She's such a lovely, sweet woman and I'm so blessed to have her in my garden of online friends. Again, thank you so much for the time & effort. Hope you'll come again..you're very much welcome. You're comment will be greatly appreciated. Take care. onella

  • You are blessed

  • What a gift to have so many grandchildren!

  • Thank you for the comment Michel. About your tomatoes, do you use mulch under your plants? I heard that that helps what we call 'blossom end rot" . a thick layer of straw or other high-carbon organic matter covering the soil. I expect you do this already. You get alot of rain?

    Hope you are well
    Ana

  •  All of those children look so well behaved! Most of the kids I see are noisy & ill mannered, so it's a treat to see such good kids. It must be the influence of the wonderful grandparents. :)

  • i wish my two years `old had appetite like that... he's a constant problem when it comes to eating his food.  i love it when children eat and i surely don't have a problem cooking for them either : )

  • there is a careless way that only kids can sit in and enjoy themselves ....!

very nice pic Michael. They look so at ease ....

  • thank you for visiting my site : ) yes, the little boy in my background is my son Javon.   have a great weekend and can't wait to read your next post

  • Oh Michel, aren't grandchildren the most precious thing in the world? Pass the (HUGS) around! When they have left for the day, you have the picture to remember their sweet faces until you have them around your table to (HUG) tightly again. You are so blessed, my friend!

Lucky you to have so many. I only have 3, but expect another maybe?? in the next year or two from my new DIL and son, the newlyweds. They want time together before starting their family. Enjoy the weekend!

  • Love and Hugs

  • I love to see happy children as we are reminded of their hope and infinite potential.

Gardening is coming to a close for us in Alaska. Yesterday I compete with hungry moose to harvest my tender peas and beans. Also ready are berries, cabbage, potatos, onions - very, very busy canning, making jelly and drying foods!

  • merci pour le paume. assez cool heh.

  • I have to agree with mom, in the fact that it would be very fun to be able to join in on the grandchildren's table. Their faces are so full of character and life!!! I know that it would be a real treat to have a seat among them. T o listen and learn from each different child!!

You are truly blessed! It makes my heart warm knowing how much you love them, and we are all sure of their love and adoration for such a grandfather as you, Michel  :)

    Love,

    Sarah

  • Oh, how I envy you all of those beautiful grandchildren. I was only blessed with one and I have not seen him for a long time, as he lives so far away. How very blessed you are.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

    Love Edie Rose

  • They are all just beautiful, Michel.   They all look as if they were enjoying their meal.  I hope that you had some food left after feeding all those hungry little people!

  • My family isn't into all the family gathering. But whenever i see everyone surrounded together to eat..itz a very happy, warm, pleasant sight!

Thanxs for the kind comment Michel!=)

  • I always liked it when the kids got to eat at their own table. My sister loved it because we got to take more and be a little bit improper, as no one was there to reprimand us. hehe

  • Awww the kids all look wonderful and healthy!  They also look like they have had good lives so far!  May God continue to bless them with good health, and wonderful lives ! ! !   You also are blessed with such love as you have in your whole family, which appears to be quite a good size!  Have a great and wonderful day and a more wonderful tomorrow ! ! !  Much love and many hugs ! ! !   You and Janine sleep with the angels and wake up fully rested and ready for a new day ! ! !

  • beautiful children....What a nice site to see your beloved grandkids happy..

    rubymoon

  • :) that makes me miss my family!

    thanks for sharing michel.

  • Michel, I love seeing your family all around like this! They are growing so fast! A table full of children is a happy place, even if also a noisy place.

    love and hugs,

                      Deb

  • It looks like it was a fun gathering for the children. A pleasure to see!

  • Marie looks like a person who is fun to be friends with!  Nice picture.

  • Wonderful memories.  I'm reading this in 2006.  August 10 is my birthday so I had to read that one.  You must be a good grandpa!

    votre amie,

    Francoise
