They are gorgeous!!  We had rain here all weekend long so didn't get to go out to garden but, my lilac tree is blooming while not having any real leaves yet, I have 1 pink tulip (out of how many that I planted), & my wisteria tree is sure to be resplendent this year!!

  • How wonderful... Have a great day

  • comme ils sont beaux :)

  • The earth smiles!  @-}-}--

  • They are breathtaking and so perfect!!  I think about the properties of color as I look at this picture.  I'm thinking about the "color wheel".  Who discovered that yellow was opposite on the color wheel from purple??  Who discovered that they are what we call "complimentary colors"??  That the mix of the two colors cause a vibration in the light spectrum....

Apparently God knew it all along.  And we have come up with a shallow theory on why.

These crocuses show God's mastery of color.  A miracle!!

  • First off, I am sooo sorry I missed your birthday, I am so amazed at the age.  If I may say so. . . . you definitely do not look your age!   Here is a little something I just put together for you, I wish it were more, it appears I missed quite a few birthdays, much to my dismay.

Those crocus are beautiful.  To me the meaning you give to them is even more beautiful and definitely understandable.  Have a great day and a wonderful tomorrow! ! ! !   Forgive me for not being by sooner to wish you a wonderful birthday and many more to come.  Love and many hugs!  May God bless your life tenfold! ! ! ! !

  • Beautiful! I have never seen crocuses before--here we have much different flowers. The bouquet of crocuses seems to be in a heart shape!

  • wow, tres belle.... mais, they are blooming already??? peut-etre c'est un peu plus chaud en france, je pense...

  • quel beau photo!  Tu es un artiste, tu sais?  Tu dois les printer est faire les cartes pour vendre!

    Merci for sharing!

    Hugs,
    Clementine

  • Comming here and seeing your beautiful posts and pictures reminds me of the purpose of life. I too love flowers, and in some ways they cause me to think of the experience of life itself; Some say what we seek is purpose – meaning in life. Perhaps what we really seek is the experience, in itself, of being alive.
To me, the perfect logical function is implicit to the most basic structure of the universe: the mind of God.

Indeed, if we were truly born tabula rasa, and the manifestation of what we are is through immediate experience only, logically, how could we grow intellectually at all? As for the passage of time, both relative and absolute; I think it goes without saying that logic is moot without an underlying media of actualization. Time is the substrate for the evolution of cognition and the expression of beauty.

  • Thank you for your comment, I need all the hope I can get. Am very troubled by current events, as I'm sure most people are.   Looking at your crocuses again made me smile.

  • Your pictures always make me happy and remind me of the joys of life.

  • Beautiful flowers.

  • It's so nice that spring is arriving for you there in France, too!  It seems that our climates aren't so different.  And once again, little Sarah steals my heart!  She enjoys the company of her grandfather, doesn't she!?

  • "Triomphe de la vie"--c'est bien dit. Les belles fleurs sont une signe d'éspoir (comme mon arbre). Nous attendons pour le printemps d'une humanité nouvelle.

  • Oh, they are beautiful!!!  I have taken some photos of Crocuses here in Holland...I just love them!  I hope I am here to see some tulips, but I fear I might be home before they come out.

  • Oh my heck, what beautiful flowers! I wish I could come see and smell them. I bet they are even more breathtaking in person! This beautiful picture uplifted my spirits as I have been very down lately with America going to war. All the disturbing images are being publically televised and it's almost too much to take. I really hope that things get better around here. I wish I could come live in France! I hope all is well with you. Much love and God bless :)

  • What a gorgeous photo! Oh Michel, great work there. I love a man who likes to garden. Something about such strong hands caring for and growing something that is so delicate and beautiful.

    Take care my friend!!!

  • "triumph of love against death"... beautiful words for a beautiful photo...

your site is so great.  i'm studying french starting sunday.  i think your site will be a really great help.  thanks...

  • Beautiful, these crocusses!

  • Are the crocuses croaking? Or cussing? Neither! They're merely crisscrossing the land with irrepressible beauty!

  • Wonderful!!!

They're in my garden too, and the little narcissus...wonderful!

    Huggssss

  • Still a most beautiful blog, Michel!  Your words are pure poetry with the picture.  I am now running on a brand new computer.  I just got 2 days ago a brand new Dell 2350 tower with 2.0 ghz, and 512 mb DDR SDRam along with a cd burner.  I am looking forward to a better connection so I can check out how well these things all load now that I have more speed to my computer.  Hmmm am hoping I will see it.  Have a great day and a wonderful weekend my friend!  Much love and many hugs! ! ! ! !  You are right, by the way, France has always and forever backed up the US,  this I will never forget, no matter what you are always our allies.  I love you all!  Take care of yourselves I may take weekend off.  I am getting too snippity, I think.

  • Thank you for your comments on mine - which I found very encouraging.  Is Xanga a tool for world peace?  It is better to communicate with people on Xanga than to shout at the television screen!  Your crocuses look lovely.  Many daffodils are flowering over here.  Tom

  • Cher Michel, merci pour tes commentaires à propos de mirroir ... Non, je ris jamais ton anglais. Tu écrit si bien. Mon francais, par contraire, est peut-être un peu ridiculeux, !!! Mais j'aime bien pratiquer! Bon weekend, mon ami!
