Dream of daffodils
In the botton of the winter
I dream of daffodils .
I see pastures and bedflowers
Filled with daffodils .
Such suns coming out from earth
You announce the re-birth ,
Charming daffodils .
Body or soul wounds 'll be healing
When you will be blooming
Pretty daffodils .
For going to the Love banquet
The lovers will make a bouquet
With daffodils .
I am waiting for you
Oh sweet daffodils .

Rêve de jonquilles .
Au plus profond de l ' hiver
Je rêve de jonquilles .
Je vois des pâtures et des parterres
Remplis de jonquilles .
Tels des soleils sortant de terre
Vous annoncez la renaissance ,
Charmantes jonquilles .
Mignonnes jonquilles .
Pour aller au banquet de l ' Amour
Les amoureux feront des bouquets
Avec des jonquilles .
Je vous attends
Ô douces jonquilles .

Excellent work!
I, too, cannot wait for the birds to return and the flowers to bloom. It will be soon indeed!
Beautiful. I know someone who would really appreciate this.
all beautiful
I cannot imagine the size and beauty of a man´s soul who admires and portrays nature like you do, Michel.
Merci
Absoluement parfait! D'accord!
A touch of Spring in the midst of Winter!! While it is pleasant here in my neck of the woods, I hear that it is frigid in the East, with snow & ice even as far South as Florida!! We will feel that in the pocketbook, soon enough.
I so appreciate your sensitivity to Nature & beautiful things....in very simplistic terms, you are such a neat guy!! Have a grand weekend...if you watch the Super Bowl, you will see how great my weather is...most of the time!! Guess that is why we are willing to pay the price to live here!!
That's really lovely, Michel ... I, too, am longing for daffodils! Thank you for sharing this.
...Michel, your poem is lovely and perfect for this winter day!!! I'm sharing your Dream. The photo helps in imagery. Is this a photo of your daffodils?

...all schools have been closed here for three days due to the cold temperatures. I hate going out myself and haven't so everything has fallen behind of off schedule. And what do I find to counter all of this woe? Your wonderful Daffodils Dream, thanks for uplife.
I am waiting with you!! Beautiful poem!!

I'm wishing for spring too.
Beautiful photo and poetry! Thank you for your wonderful comments.
Daffodils are my favorite flowers! Yesterday, I was on the phone with my mom, and I started reminiscing about the garden of daffodils she used to have when I was a child. How I miss them!
Wow... beautiful poem... makes one long for Spring ever so more
I love daffodils!! They're so cheerful and bright ~ they're not out here yet, but I'm looking forward to them
A niew way to look at them.
I was used to look at them as Narcissus, in love with they own image and then realizing that it is your own reflected in water that you love and then in the pool of water troubled by his tears he realizes that he is not only himself but that he can also disappear.
What a tragedy. I love it.
But your way of describing them is nicer.
Bien a toi et bon weekend.
I like the little wildflowers of spring that sneak a peak where you'd least expect them. But what I always enjoy most is the very first flower of spring that I encounter--whatever it be.
fauquet, this is an absolutely beautiful poem. I am mad for daffodils, too. they're beautiful, resilient, and a sign of rebirth. I needed to read this, thank you for reminding me to dream for what will come.
cher michel,
I am captivated, blushing, breathless, weeping....
Since we have snow on the ground here I am wishing even more for spring right now!
I was just thinking I cannot wait for the lighter nights and the spring and then I came here , love Daffodils , they have just started coming into the flower shops now
Most of my daffodils are in bloom right now.
Oh my! A breath of spring from your lovely poem. Thanks so much for sharing.
what a lovely picture that is, I can't wait for spring to come to New York, it is too cold here! have a great day!
Michel, I didn't realize that you were such a great poet. In the mood I'm in tonight, your prose brought tears to my eyes.
Well my cuddly bear, I see you have a lovey picture again. Were you dressed this time as you posted. I thank you for your constant comments to me, you cheer an old lady's heart.
Marjie

Our daffodils have been and come, you have yours coming in Spring.
They were both beautiful!!
Very charming poem, and a gorgious picture. I have never had these lovely flowers in my yard, but I love to see them here and there in others people's flower gardens.
I too am waiting for them to bloom. Their leaves are there reaching for the sky...must go check if there are any buds....will be right back!
Yes, Yes there are many buds...it is just a matter of days now! I will try to get a nannycam shot when they bloom

Janine has made a wonderful photo... feels like spring.
Your poem sounds beautiful in french.......More please!!
Have a good weekend!
Belle photo. Beau poème. J'aime bien!

I notice that this is one of the few times that you wrote the English version first! Did you originally write this beautiful poem in English or French?
-Soleilshine
Tom
Yes soleilshine I originally wrote the poem in English .
And bravo themos100 for you comment in French . Compliments

"What are heavy? Sea-sand and sorrow;
What are brief? Today and tomorrow;
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth;
What are deep? The ocean and truth."
>>Christina Rosetti

Nice...guess your hard work paid off?=PPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
I like sunflowers..bright and yellow like the smiling sun! Ever pick some flowers for your wife? Every woman loves flowers...*winkz*
Beautiful poem Michel. I love daffodils and the ones in my garden are just poking up their leaves so I have somehting to look forward to. We are using daffodils tomorrow at the buffet ( for the ordination ) as the young man, Martin is Welsh and they are the national flower of Wales, we also have flags with red dragons on
Tres bien! (That's all the French I remember.) Great stuff.
God Bless - Dale
=D, It's beautiful lol and that picture matches it so perfectly -.-
(((((MICHEL & Family)))))) What a lovely poem.. reminds me of spring!
hope all is well for you and your family.
I'm sorry I haven't been around much... been so busy with the winter crush of visitors! Seems as though one group leaves and then we get the laundry done, fridge restocked and bathroom scrubbed just in time for the next group to file in. *sigh* I wonder if this ever lets up? It's GREAt to see everyone, but we are running out of steam
michel, you are a bilingual poet!! how talented you are! how do you know english so well???
beautiful! i love the winter, but that picture makes me want spring to come sooner!
You're making me lament the spring, Michel. I can't wait for spring! Well done!
Hi Michel
) ahh - what a lovely poem
))) Daffodils are the dawning of more of the best to come - I always wait for the first daff to open here - its is a sign. The other is the first Daphne to open
Hoping you are having a wonderful weekend. Be well - ~hugs~ Libby
Atleast something good came out of my futile attempts! It is good that I can laugh at myself. It is very bad that I am doing a very poor job of learning French! Eek!
Clementine
Michel you are one of the coolest people I know. That was really beautiful. And inspirational. I love springtime. I love the days getting longer and the smell of fresh growing green grass.
My favorite type of flowers are orchids. I also like buttercups. I like putting the buttercups in Solon's hair, although I don't think he likes it very much!
Beautiful blog Michel!
Belle. Tres Belle!
My blog is fixed. YEAH.. Very nice poem Michel.
So my favorite guys are once again thinking of flowers and Spring.
Oh, his is a lovely poem. I feel that longing for the Daffodils, I'm chasing my dream to the sunny south in hopes of finding one blooming.
just what i needed to read after a long walk among the rotting leaves and barren trees of dead of winter
rejuvenation in your words..pointing out renewal in the ground

Beautiful. Makes me wish for spring.
How beautiful, Michel!! This belongs on Art Exchange in our New Beginnings exhibit!!
"Such suns coming out of the earth..."
gorgeous words, Michel.
On my Katze...you're right, it does have Egyptian influence but I didn't realize it until just before I went to bed last night.
Hugs,
Lisa
I love the first fragile daffodils of early spring ~ they hint at the newness of spring to come..... lovely poem and picture! God Bless you!
si joli.
Bravo Michel!!!
What an absolutely wonderful poem! I also love these bright and cheery flowers. They make me think of spring and warmer days. They also make me think of Easter since it is in the spring and the new life given us because of what Easter means.
More! More! Write more poetry!

Deb

Beautiful ---- daffodils bring sweet rememberance of my treasured Aunt Millie ... her birthday (March 5) was always announced by the blooming of daffodils! She passed away, 2 years ago ... when the daffodils bloomed.

Thank-you for this. I loved reading it. Daffodils are my favorite flower, so it was especially a treat for me to read this. Also enjoyed the picture, such pretty flowers!
Your poem says it all, Michel. The beauty of the daffodils are a wonderful sight to behold. No wonder the birds sing so joyously in the spring, when they are surrounded by so much beauty.
I am afraid that it will be a while before my daffodils will be in bloom here. In the meantime thank you for sharing the wonderful poem and picture.
Edie Rose
Très beau, mon cher ami.
