• Satanic behavior comes in different forms, and unfortunately in the name of religion. Such a shame and stain on the face of humanity. I am sorry Michel.

    • Do not worry , Zakiah. We are able to make the difference . And there a lot of moslem people, an immense majority, who are French citizens living in peace.

  • Extremism in any form by any group is a perversion. I know that Christianity and Islam both have love at the core. It is tragic that tolerance and compassion has been so brutally attacked. I am Charlie too.

  • I have been so saddened to learn of the events in France over the last few days. Our freedom of expression is so very important in your country as well as in America, and must be protected against all attacks. I am an American -- but I am Charlie too!

  • So sorry for the suffering in your country ~ :(

  • our hearts are grieved with this horror that has unfolded. Our freedoms are so dear to us world wide. I am sorry for each of the families as well as France. Many prayers for peace from me and mine.

    • Thanks Janet and Karen . Yes freedom of expression is a treasure .
We experienced its importance during the war II when we lost it.
      But this time we will fight for freedom<;
and thanks to Pzeggy for her compassion.

  • I stand with you.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

  • My thoughts have been with you and your beautiful country, and the city, Paris, that I love so much. Je suis Charlie. We stand with you.
    Love, Christine

Happy, healthy, peaceful new year to you and your family, Michel.

  • We stand with you and your people and send prayers and good vibes.

  • This has brought such sadness. Such a horror. :-(
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
    I am Charlie.
    We stand with you.
    Love and (((HUGS)))

  • I haven't commented, because I truly am speechless over this latest incident.
    Yes, 'je suis Charlie'

  • có vẻ như người ta đang đổ thêm dầu vào lửa?

seems like people are adding fuel to the fire?

  • This is so sand and horrible it has aroused all of Europe, American and much of the world. I am heartbroken over this. I have always loved the French since I was a teen boy. They used to have a radio program when I was a kid, that interviewed English speaking French citizens. I loved it and them.

I think the world now realizes no one is safe from these terroists. I am not sure what can be done globally, but something will in my opinion.

Again, this is just awful, Michel. I am so sorry this happened in your wonderful country.

    Today, I am French.

God bless you and the wonderful people of France who helped our country come into existence.

    blessings

    frank

  • It is another example of people thinking they are better than anyone else. I, too, am saddened by the happenings and I am Charlie, too.

  • je suis charlie aussi.

  • This was horrible Michel. But are people really understanding the extremist interpretation of the Qur'an is to eliminate all of those who are not of their faith beliefs?

ryc: I don't know how you ended up on a Dec.post. Today is at: http://mizbee.net/Patchwork/Jan/10Jan_2015.htm

  • I'm so sad that this terrible thing has happened in your beautiful country. We must all unite in prayer for peace and love in our world. You are family and I pray for you and the people of France!

  • TY so very much of your comment on my photo of TD wearing his seahawks short and hoodie.

  • Ty so very much for your comment on my post to have a good Friday.

  • TY so very much Michel and the sleep study showed oldest son has severe sleep apnea.

  • I too, am so sorry for what has happened there in France. Freedom everywhere is threatened by these terrorists. I am praying especially for the families of those who were killed or injured.

  • Thank you, Michel, for the comments you leave on my WP site! I really enjoy your words and appreciate you! HUGS!!! :-)

  • to all commenters above ; Thanks you my friends for your comments about the horrible events in France and your support.

  • The TV news from France and around the world was inspirational.

  • Thank you for sharing this video.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers today.
    (((HUGS)))

  • je suis Charlie

  • Hmm now Michel I think you just may have sent that snow. <:)

  • I agree, it could have been us (Americans) just as well. So sorry for the pain and loss your dear country was caused by this act.

    <3 <3

  • Hello Michel, Ty so very much for your comment on my post of photo of sun shining on the piling.
Your comment made me chuckle, and actually the pilings are what is left of what used to be an old boat dock.

  • Unfortunately the whole world seems to be going insane nowadays. :-(
"Charlie Hebdo" is a clever name, I'm sorry this news had to come in order to learn of it. I remember hearing before about the "Le Canard enchaîné" journal, but in connection with what I forget (Sarkozy or DSK or something).
The satirical papers are an interesting feature of the French press, I don't think we have anything quite like them in our national mainstream (except maybe "The Onion"). It stands out in the mind, sort of like how British journalism surprises us too for having a gutter culture worse than ours (!).

  • Thinking of you and Janine today and praying for you both!
    (((HUGS)))

  • Hi Michel, Lovely to hear from you as always. I'm sorry to hear of Janine being ill. I will lift her in my prayers.

  • I find it very disturbing that the president of the U.S. made no effort to be part of the unity march. His presence I feel was, and is, a necessary thing. Very worrying.

  • I should change that to say, not just disturbing, not just worrying... it actually makes me quite angry.

  • Here in the UK we know what its like to suffer such outrage. The French have shown great courage during this sad time

  • I agree with you! People should be allowed free speech whatever it is. I would never read or buy what they publish but no one should be killed over a cartoon! It is the day and age to rise up and pray for the peace of Jerusalem (and the whole world) as Jesus told us to. I agree with JstNotherDay, the president should have been there. He's detached and just wants to play and have fun, I think. :(

Yes, the red shirt and orange one are the same little precious person. :)

  • If I translate in Italian it would be something like" Io sono Carlo". :-)
We keep smiling and that is the best answer. Smile.
About the sand-worm, it is the same you told me.
Nice creatures. In Bretagne the beach was full of them.

    Amitie

    Carlo

  • beauty is in the eye of the beholder. why paid attention to people that you dont like and they did no harm to you?

  • And our stupid president was a no show. I was so mortified! Michel, know this: almost all Americans stand by France as our friend and ally. We feel your pain in this horrible disaster!
