! Tout est équilibre dans la nature .
Voyez cette jolie grenouille ci - dessous . La nourrit - on ? Non .
All is balanced in the nature .
I told my wife the bunches of grapes have not been eaten by the black birds this year . And also we saw less black birds than usual . She answered me : " It ' s not surprising because our neighbour gives food and drink to the birds outside in her yard but also to the vagabond cats . So the cats eat the birds ! ! ! ! What a horror ! ! Explanation : my neighbour loves the cats but her mother loves the birds ! ! It ' s awful but the result is my grapes have not been eaten . All is balanced in the nature !!
Look at this pretty frog below . Does someone give food to it ? No . Admire it standing well balanced on the leave of Water Lily waiting quietly for its prey ?
Up date : On this Sunday 29 th of september is the St Michael Day in France . it ' s my feast ! I enjoy it !

Have to agree with you Michel... We, human beings, have destroyed the ecological order...
C'est dommage. Tout est equilibre dans la nature. Mais les gens detruisent cet equilibrium. Les humains, est-ce qu'ils sont natural?
You must live in Utopia! Michel, you always bring us such lovely photograps. I love frogs so very much.
Yes, people do a little too much meddling with nature if you ask me!
I often wonder how much imbalance we set about in our efforts to balance. The animals know something we forget: to depend on the Creator, the author of order. You have to love that frog!
I must admit that I have two feeders hanging from the eaves of my house. They are for hummingbirds. They live here all year long. I enjoy seeing them feed. They also feed on many of the flowers in the garden. They are safe from my cat and my dog, because they do not walk on the ground or sit on the branches of the bushes.
I dare not put bird food in the garden because there are too many cats round here. We also are guilty because we have two. I think cat owners should think carefully about the impact of these animals on the local wild-life.
Only three days until I come to your lovely country. We've booked a very nice hotel - Prieuré Saint Lazare. Tom
What a regal frog!
Now that is a very handsome frog... I wonder if he may be a prince? It is odd how one turn in life will turn another life around or take it away. I wonder sometimes why these things happen... as usual, for reasons I may never be able to understand.
I love that your blog is in both French and English! Thank you for that! I also happen to adore frogs, so thanks for the photo! Keep up the good work!
Clementine
You are not going to believe this but it is true...what a coincidence. Because of this post I just looked out the back window to see if the hummingbirds had discovered the feeder I hung last week. Yes there was one on a tree limb by the feeder...there also was an orange cat that had come in the yard to eat some of our grass and away went the bird! How about that!
Awww hahaha, don't you just adore nature??
What a cute frog. I saw a momma duck with her babies yesterday!!

Some win and some lose in the balance of nature!
Quelle grenouille magnifique!
That is a very strange situation with the cats and the birds.
The little guy looks just like one of my pets when I was a young lad
Once again a lovely photograph!! I love frogs.
FROGGIE!
FROGGIE! ... french froggie?
Ecology is a science about balance. And often if not always it's the human being that pushes everything out of balance.
What a pity.
I have some blackbirds in my garden everyday. When a cat comes they sit near my window and start their alarm.... they know they can get me out to chase the cat away.
We have black grapes too Michel and nobody eats them What a fine study of the frog --is it true that in France you eat their legs? Only joking Ron
: ) yes, all is balanced in nature. why do we always try to throw that off?
Yes its funny see a French man putting a photo of a frog on a blog , you know us english we always think its funny that you eat frogs legs.
I hope you and your wife have a lovely weekend
love the pics~!
Belllydeep, Bellydeep, Ribbit Ribbit. Froggy talk go figure..ha (nice picture)
Magnifique!!
"Since the early bird catches the worm,
it's a good idea to begin your day as soon as you can -- unless, of course, you happen to be a worm." -- Edwin Bliss
Alas, only man serves to imbalance, yet Gaia in rightousness rebalances that.
Wonderful this nature! Oh if it were not touched by man! Yes I saw many wonderful things while in Alaska. My mind is full of the images. The sea, the sky , the clouds ,the wind, the rain, the sun,the snow, the mountains, the otters, the birds (yes the eagles), the lone moose, the swans, the bears, the salmon, the whales, the smell of fresh clean sweat air. @-}-}- Karolyn (and unseen frogs )
...don't your neighbors realize what they are doing? Attracting the birds to be eaten by the cats? Wouldn't say that is a natural balance. I would say that is the eliminating of one is favor of the other. And your grapes don't get eaten!!!
MuSe
...must be a baby frog on leaf because it looks so small. Think it has decided we are too big to be his prey.
very nice!
Balance? Till then, I wonder... The frog.. I love them! Standing on a lily.. Love them too
Have a great weekend!
You know I bet your froggys speak French don't they so how do you say bellydeep or ribbit in French ha
Venus is the female energy to the male energy which is Mars
to Slinky :If you write 2 sentences giving the meaning of those 2 words :bellydeep or ribbit , I would be able perhaps to translate in French . I have not found them in my dictionary .
thats because they are my Tennessee (southern) sound byte versions of what the frog is saying ha, so what is the french sound version of what the froggy says?
to Slinky : In France the sound of male frogs is : côa , côa , côa . The frog " coassent" ( they croak in English ) . The french verb is " coasser " .
PWOOP!
It is a beautiful little green frog. If you pick them up and rub them, they go all limber and nearly go to sleep.
Did you take this picture?
Happy feasting! Funny you mention cats, today. We were talked into taking one home that was peering into the church door this am. That makes three...
Salut! Comment ca va?
The beauty of nature.
That is a fantastic photo!! Nature can be cruel (blackbirds being eaten by the cats) but She makes up for it with astounding beauty if we open our eyes long enough to see it ~ you've definitely got that eye, with photographs like that!!
I have cats and I feed the birds too. But they don't get caught and eaten..... I have some smart birds. The cats have more fun chasing the squirrels.
Cute little froggie.
We stopped putting out bird feeders when we got cats because it wasn't fair on either of them, although the cats couldn't get up that high since there was nothing to climb around, they were really teased by the birds being there all the time, and the birds wouldn't come after being watched for too long!! Lovely little froggie!

wow! what a lovely picture!!! yes, fauquet, i think maybe you are right...we can tell a person by the things they photograph....your pictures are always very romantic and very natural.....i imagine you are a very down to earth person, but who still finds a romance in life....romance of the best sort....the simple kind!
i love to watch the birds in my back yard picking at the fruit trees or just flying around..Its so relaxing..The pic of the frog is so pretty...
have a nice week,
rubymoon
Happy Feast Day! May you feast on the beast and good wine and live long to brag about it!
Yay! I'm glad your grapes have been spared.

Cute frog! Our Heavenly Father has his eye on the sparrow - AND on the cat!
The balance of nature... You are so right!!
I love that froggy pic
You are right about the balance of nature. You and your photography make that picture of the frog beautiful! ! ! You are a wonder with a camera. It is a real shame about the birds and the cats eating them. Maybe it will get better, maybe you should also put food out for the birds, I mean besides the grapes.??? Have a great and wonderful day! ! ! Happy Feast!! ! ! ! Love and hugs! ! ! ! !
I have a lot of squirrels around and I feed them. I have a few that will eat from my hand. Sometimes the cats come around but I manage to scare them off. Hope you had a great St Michael Day.
That is terrible! I hate for any animal to lose their lives. I even save crickets, moths and other bugs! When they get in my house I scoop them up on a piece of paper and carry them to safety. Well at least I carry them out of the house and out of my cat’s harmful way!
Beautiful picture! Frogs are pretty amazing looking, aren’t they?
Cuisse de grenouille à l'ail.
The frog and me don't thing that nature is "equilibré"
Bien à toi Michel,
Carlo
Lovely photo of the frog I have frogs in my garden too I told my greatgrandson Thomas ( Julie's grandson ) to kiss it and see what would happen BUT he wouldn't. I wonder why ? This is the first time that I've read your site - don't you get a lot of comments ? It must be a good blog
what a wonderful photo! I hope you had a lovely St. Michael Day!
I also have a lot of grapes this year and the birds have not eaten them yet. I may not get to eat any though, as my friend eats them as soon as they ripen.
Same situation next door to me-my neighbor leaves out food for the birds and a dish of cat food for a visiting cat right under the bird feeder. Maybe she thinks that the cat will leave the birds alone if she feeds it???
I collect frogs-not live ones-I love the picture. You really do a great job with that camera. Have a great week!!!
Sometimes nature seems brutal, doesn't it?? I think of the shows where I see polar bears eating baby seals...but I guess that's just our human standards that we apply to the natural world.
I wonder what it feels like to be a frog sitting on that lilypad??
If you write 2 sentences giving the meaning of those 2 words :so how do you say bellydeep or ribbit , I would be able perhaps to translate in French . I have not found them in my dictionary .
They are just made up sounds not in any dictionary. Like when you make up sounds for children to make them laugh. This is what my Momma always said the frogs said ha. Momma was a hillbilly girl for half of her life and I guess I am one once removed to city life ha
