    Metamorphosis .

Here is the picture of our oldest grand daughter Julie . She is also our oldest grand children . She is 15 years old .and she is kind . In her physiognomy perhaps we can guess any features of the childhood but don't we believe to see a young lady ?

We brought up 6 children and they grew up at our sides day by day progressively from the childhood to the adulthood .. About the grand children this is different . Altough we see them rather often , at any times we are struck with the sudden transformations of the adolescence . We are happy of course but nevertheless this gives a kind of shock . It ' s life .

  • Were you upset when you saw her streak of purple hair? =)

  • She's pretty

  • Oh my she is lovely! I know what you mean about how quickly children can change.

  • She seems like a lovely girl who has a loving grandfather!  It is nice that you see the grandchildren often!

  • Seeing my daughter everyday, I notice changes... I can understand what you are talking about... certainly when there is any amount of time between seeing them much change can take place...

  • She is a lovely young woman.  The photo is nice as well, whe is fortunate to have grandparents who see her through the eyes of love.

  • I like the purple streak in her hair!  She is very pretty, and I LOVE her name!  *giggle* wonder why?

  • she is beautiful~!  a lil purple never did any harm!  heehee

    i have boys tho...............

  • Shes very pretty, nice smile too!!

    xo

  • She is so beautiful!!  I can understand what you're saying, Michel.  If I don't see Chase for one or two days, he looks so different!!  And he's only a baby.  Wait till he becomes an adolescent, too!

    hugs,
    Lisa

  • Your granddaughter is a lovely young woman.  Even when your children and grandchildren grow up, we still have their memories walking beside us.

  • Lovely photo, such expressive eyes and just the beginning of maturity. Yes as you say "I have been everywhere man" hope all the going back is not too boring. What will you be like when you have Granchildren. Pity me trying to keep track of 12 Grandchildren let alone all the Greats, most of whom I will never see, and there could be more because I don't get news of half the Grandchildren, Good job really, at least I can buy for the ones I see or hear about. I couldn't if I saw them all. I think there might be 14 Greats now all from 4 children. They must all be prolific breeders. Cheers Marjie.

  • life is shocking, to be shocked is to be alive.

    lovely young lass!

  • Elle est jolie.  :) Hee hee...Julie est jolie.  Okay, I'm being silly.

  • Beauty.  It is really amazing and shocking when we see the changes in our granchildren.  Mine are 4 hours away by air and not a trip I can take more than once a year.  My granddaughter is 10 and grandson 5...so many changes that it gives me a pang in my heart not to see them daily

  • Michel. I can't get over the natural beauty in this young lady. I've always said why fret over the small stuff....and purple hair turns to gray much too soon. So why not have fun now!  I've had hair colours from blonde to black. My natural colour is dark brown. I'll bet you're proud of her.

  • My son has started high school! I see him walking toward me and I think he has grown. His voice is low and his walk reminds me of another time and another man~his father.  He is so tall he is so mature for his age. Like your grand daughter I see the child but I also see the emerging man.  Lovely photo!! @-}-}-

  • Yes. I'm not a grandmom, but I witness thesë "jumps of growth" of the children of friends. When it's ones grandchild....

It's so very moving that ther grow up and develop so fast. And when a little child that plays in the sand, turns out to be such a pretty young woman in such a short time one feels deeply moved and grateful, and on the other hand it illustrates that life slowly slips away like a handful of sand between the fingers.

You can be proud of such a wonderful granddaughter. She's handsome and there's beauty shining out from within.

I wish her well, and wish you well.

    Hugssssssss

  • That's a very good photograph.  With six children, you are going to eventually have a faquet dynasty!  Tom

  • ahhh.. beautiful! I like the pink stripe of hair. Its fun!

  • Children grow so fast!  She is beautiful.

  • Yes, if you do not see them every day, you will always be amazed at the changes.  She is beautiful, Michel.  You must be quite proud.

  • Your granddaughter is beautiful.

  • Elle est tres belle. Absoluement!

  • You are indeed blessed: she is a lovely young woman.

    How quickly life passes......

  • ...Julie is beautiful! Young "lady", indeed!
...yes, it is a shock to see the Grandchildren go for babyhood, to childhood, to adolescence, to whatever the next stage is.
And like you mentioned, because we don't see them day to day it's a shock when we do see them, there's a lot of growing going on that we don't see. However, because we don't see the day to day increments we may "see" growth in all the forms better, from a different view than the parents.

Reponse to your comment:...Michel re "?" ~ gossip and items that are none-of-my-business.  MuSe

  • I did not know you had a grandaughter name Julie , its a great name it is funny how all of a sudden they can change from a child to adult .

  • I'm just as amazed at my own children still at home. One of them will be with us for always yet I am amazed at what strides they take as they age.   BTW, tasteful purple streak.

  • It is interesting to see a child everyday... and then to see one you don't see too often.. which one changes more rapidly?

  • What an absolutely stunning girl.  Only 15?  Oh my she is going to have guys chasing her all over,  if she doesn't already.  Love her hair, streak and all. You have a wonderful day and a better tomorrow! ! ! !  Love and hugs! ! !

Trop mignon!

  • Metamorphose.changing from one stateto the other.

    Indeed ,it is life.

    She is beautiful.

    Ciao

  • ...oh Michel, my esteemed friend, you mistook the meaning and tone of my words. So sorry, my response was not meant to be a harsh one.
...yes, I agree, we should keep our minds open to the larger issues and messages in life.
    ...my sincere, apologies

  •  She is a beautiful young woman

  • She's a lovely girl and proud you should be.

  • Julie is beautiful. Julie is also the name of my daughter.

  • Beautiful.  But they grow up too quickly, don't they?

  • Ah, what a delightful young lady. I too like the streek of purple in her hair. Her smile lights up the room. You are so kind to share this with us, Michel.

  • I'm sure it is an amazing thing to watch a child grow into an adult.  That photo is lovely, Julie looks like she is a lovely young lady

  • She is beautiful, Michel!!  You must be very proud of your family

  • The wonders of being able to view the changes of time still amazes me.

Your grand daughter is also privilged to have a grandfather like you who notices the small things.

She reminds me of my niece, she's growing up and just recently told me who her crush is. LoL.

I told her that I'll have to go to the gym more often so I can get bigger and then buy a "shotgun" to make sure no one messes with her. LoL But she'll be getting her blackbelt this year so I'm not really that concerned.

  • shes a very pretty young lady and I love the purple streak in her hair

  •  I know what you mean about how quickly children can change.

  • fauquet .. a very lovely Julia .. indeed

peace to you and your family

    love .

  • They grow so fast. Seems like just yesterday they were babies.

  • she has streaks of pink hair! that's cool. wish i could do just that. too bad i can't. i'll either get caught by the discipline mistress or get my beautiful tresses snip by the teacher.

  • typo error. blame it on my poor eyesight. i'm suffering from myopia. it's purple right?

  • Yes Crystal the streak is purple .

  • She is adorable, Michel... As all from your end are!

    Have a great weekend!

  • What a lot of complimentary comments you've had on the photograph!  Tom

  • beautiful lady!

  • I bet she's going to grow up to be a charming and beautiful lady.

  • She seems a lovely young lady Michel. A granddaughter to be proud of

  • I know what you mean Dorothy and I have 3 kids between us. Her two which lived with us and mine, who I was only able to see a couple of times of years because of the distance in miles between us.  We were always surprised to see how much my son had change and grown. We then had to look at the other two to see they had also had grown, but we did not notice it from a day to day position.

    Martin

  • Oh yes... I remember the times, when people used to say, you have changed so much!

  • She is so beautiful, Michel - si belle! My parents do not see my children often. My mother will be shocked to see my 9 year old daughter standing eye to eye with her! I understand what you are saying. But you are so blessed to have so many grandchildren. You must be so proud.
