Nature.
Ô belle Nature
Forêts , mers et lacs,
Peut - on être sûr
Que vous resterez intacts ?
Puisse l' Homme utiliser
La Terre sans abuser
Et préserver le futur
En montrant juste mesure

Nature
Beautiful Nature ,
Forests , seas and lakes,
Can we keep for sure
You will last intact ?
May human beings use
Earth without abuse
And showing measure,
Preserve the future .

Humans should never tamper with what God has made so beautiful.
I wish people would appreciate the country and environment more. I like your poem. As to mine. I was born in a town, have always lived in a town but yearn for the countryside.Cheers marjie

This is so gorgeous! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Yes Fugitive , I had a wonderful week end . We have celebrated the 90 th anniversary of my wife janine ' s father last Saturday . Thank you . Michel
Use don't abuse our lands! A good reminder for us all.
I think I've seen that picture for real, there are so many lakes and trees here in Ontario!! Just beautifull Michel!! Good choice *WINK*
You have your mind and heart in the right place, Michel.

I think we need more people who care.
my sentiments exactly...bien fait, michel
What a lovely photo, that must have been Northern Ontario, right? When I lived in Ontario, we had a cottage that we went to every summer on a lake like that... I love it there.
nature is beautiful - in all it's many forms. it's ashame people take it for granted.
I do wish that we would all take care of our earth better. Beautiful photo and poem, Michel.
I think it's time for you to visit Canada Michel! =)
I guess Ontario does have its fair share of natural beauty. Thanks for showing the picture, it's beautiful.
To show measure - yes. Being good stewards of all gifts and resources given to us by the Creator!
I couldn't agree more, that is a lovely poem. And very well written. And as always you take the most beautiful photos. Th perfect companion to the poem
That's a great poem!

A Good Poem and picture to show us to remind us that the World Summit is closing
bravo!
Amen to that, Michel! I am extremely disappointed that our President has chosen not to attend the conference in South Africa. He will not get my vote in 2004.
Although I can't see the picture because Xanga is having trouble with it's image hosting, the poem is wonderful, and so true!
Beautiful! And a lovely poem. We are indeed rich with natures wonders.
Beautiful poem... thanks
Amazing, as always!
If only! ...sigh
I agree with your poem. Beautiful photo too.
Some things it is too late to undo...but it is not to late to learn that we must stop and think about our world and save it for the future to come.
Future is a gift for the next generations.
Lovely poem to accompany nature's beauty.
Beautiful poem and picture. My son has spent the whole week in Canada with a friend for a Labor Day vacation. (I believe that is where Labor Day originated) I am looking forward to seeing some pictures that he took while there. Have a great week Michel!!!
i love Ontario.
my wife and i were there when 9-11, hit the World Trade Center. I thought that we might have to stay there forever, and that was not concerning me at all.
What a lovely poem and picture. Thanks
Simply lovely
Such a magnificent view, Michel I am stunned... Is it near home? You are blessed. We are! I can see that too!
As for the comment in my site, I know I´m not that clear sometimes... ´But most of it, I don´t figure out the situation fast enough to explain on a post. I just feel it and write. But I can assure you. I am happy with what God has allowed me to see and feel...
Have a nice evening!
...Amen! The beautiful photo looks somewhat of a painting. Your wish is also mine.

It is our duty to preserve these places of beauty for future generations.
Such wise words. You must be the sage of Xanga.
I can see the picture today! It is beautiful!
Nature in all its glory...Lovely picture..

rubymoon

Bien ecrit,Michel.
La nature n'est pas toujours jolie.
Nature is not always nice.
Can be very destructive too.

Natures poet.
Amen, mon ami, amen.
Tellement beau.
I hope we can preserve the future too!
it looks so peaceful
Michel!!! I know this place or as Mike says, " Gee this looks vaguely familiar!"
He said he knows exactly where the picture was taken, it is looking up the 'narrows' just past the cottage.
We love to go there in the nice weather, but I have not yet been in the winter. I hear you can drive on the lake when it freezes, but for me, this would be frightening!!!
Thank you for posting the beautiful picture of a familiar and beautiful place... Lake Skootamatta. And to pjfweb I say ahhhhh yes, peaceful it is.
At sunset, it is even more lovely... I have pictures of this. I will put them on my site soon.
Take care my friend,
Deb
b'utiful picture ...I couldn't agree with you more ...But wht could we do if a big & most polluting nation like US says it would not sign the Kyoto Protocol

It went like this:
false accusation.
Police investigation, during which they put Jim behind bars, to place me under pressure. They thought I knew that he had done something wrong.
These cases are always very ugly, because it concerns a minor.
As we have read on internet that men were convicted to years of improsonment, only on the saying of a girl that he had raped her, even without a doctor confirming anything...we were adviced to get a lawyer. So we did.
That has costs us many thousands of Euro's. So we are in debt now.
We can go to court to ask the money back, but we will only get it back when the false accusation was made intentionally.
But it was the child who said it...a minor. And the parents believed the child and they went to the police.
So it can be said that the intentions of the parents were good.
(We know that the woman has something against Jim. We don't know what. And we can't prove that.)
We are completely dependent upon the judge when we bring this to court. The chances are less that 50% we'll win.
That means that we are gambling with the rest of our money. If we would win, we would get the money of the lawyer back, and some money for the days Jim was behind bars. And perhaps the costs of going to court with this.
But if we loose, we might add thousand or more Euros to our debt.
Thanks for caring!
The beauty, the mystery, but also even the darkness and deadliness of the wilderness merit continuance. For what we consider "beauty" may change, but the wilderness will always remain its own constant essence.
I wondered why that picture looked so familiar! I did not see the caption. I have spent much time, when I was young, in northwestern ontario. A picture like that can bring back such joyful memories!
