English version below the picture .
Sur la photo je tiens sur mes genoux mon dernier petit -fils Antoine Fauquet , 3 ans . Et je pensais que dans 50 ou 60 ans il tiendrait aussi son propre petit - fils sur ses genoux .
C ' est la chaîne des générations , la spirale de la vie qui continue ...dans l ' amour .

On the picture I hold on my knees my last grandson , Antoine Fauquet , three years old . I thought in about 50 or 60 years he will hold also his own grand son on his knees .

How sweet! I am coming to the age where it won't be too many years until I start having grandchildren....to be honest...it scares me somewhat. I want to pass down a legacy of love and faithfulness to God....does my life show that strong enough to last through generations? I pray it does.

It is so very heartwarming to know our blood flows on and within our children that will continue to preserve the line of heritage. It is such a warm and undescribable feeling. Love so very deep words are almost not enough. I can feel the love and pride in the photograph

I think I will do the same someday, with a grandchild of my own (hopefully).
What a wonderful picture!! That he will cherish in years to come! My grandmother is now 90 years old, and I cherish every moment that we have had together. Pictures are so important to help preserve the memories!!

Lovely picture. He is too cute. There's nothing like sitting on your grandfather's knee. I used to love squeezing into the big easy chair with my granddaddy when I was a kid. Such a comforting moment then .. now it's a comforting thought.

Yes, the double fall gave me a "deep tissue contusion" a very bad bump with an injury that was already there for only 6 days. I am doing quite well now. I will not skate this week so I can heal fully, all of my muscles. Tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday I will walk in the neighborhood 4 miles each day and maybe ride a bike. This is good to get my muscles back to normal strength.
I also have a very good moist heat pad.
I have never had a fall like this, so I hope it will never happen again.
I did purchase some very good silicone pads to put in the back of my pants so that will help with future falls.
My problem: I am not afraid to fall, so I try things.
I am learning to be careful, go slower, concentrate.

I hope for all the children, yours, mine, all of them that there is a good future we can resurrect from the chaos the world finds itself in at this time. Can you imagine if I put all my grands on the knees at once....I have 10 with another on the way. Quite often, because of jealousy, I end up with about 4 of the youngest ones trying to climb in the lap at the same time.. They love for me to play a bouncy game, "Slow road to London town".. do you know it? I recently lost about 30 pounds and one of the grands asked her mother if that meant I had lost my soft cushiony lap. Ah no, it is still there. Thank you for your encouragement on my site. I'm afraid I offended some.
I never appreciated the circle of life/love until the grandchildren started coming along. Now I pray that I can hold a great-grandchild. Several of the grandchildren are getting near marrying age now.

Oui, mon ami, oui effectivement. J'entends la conversation de gens du cercle de vie tout le temps et je pense, non, la vie est un continuum. De la mère de ma mère, à moi, à mes filles, petite-filles et au-delà. La ligne de mon père finissait avec ma génération. Il a donné seulement des filles à ma mère, mais je regarde mon fils et vois mon père. Et quand je vais aux réunions de famille de la ligne de mon père, je vois les générations couler en avant.
Votre petit-fils a vos aspects.

This picture is very handsome, and so are the people in it. It is nice to think that we are part of a long line of generations. My daughter is going to have my first grandchild in March so my line will continue. For a long time I thought it would end with my girls.

You are right in your assumptions. Things aren't quite well with me. I got some unsettling news about my parents in the past week, they've decided to separate. It wasn't a total shock but it's been on my mind a lot and has been keeping me away.
But there is good news too. I got to meet my new nephew and he is beautiful and wonderful. Such a wonder new life is. It brings hope and joy to my life. I'll be feeling much better soon. My brother would love the picture of you and your grandson, he loves spiderman and would love his little shirt!

What a nice picture of you and your look-alike grandson. I have heard that grand children keep us young. Looking at this picture, I do notice that you are looking younger all the time. I think that love between the generations may have something to do with it.
I want to thank you for your comments on my site. I am doing much better now. I am getting "Meals on Wheels" for a while, so I do not have to worry about fixing my lunch right now. (Not sure if you know what that is?)
In answer to your question, yes I am able to walk around the house and do not have to stay in bed all the time. I only had to do that for about the first two days that I was home.
