Un bouquet d ' enfants A bouquet of children English version below the pictures C ' était lors d ' un jour de fête ,le 15 Août denier . Il y avait un repas familial chez nous . Quelqu 'un prit cette photo d ' un groupe de petits - enfants regardant la télévision . Je fus émerveillé en regardant cette photo il y a quelque jours. J ' avais l 'impression de voir un bouquet couleur pastel , un bouquet d ' enfants , un festival de Jeunesse . Cette vue apaisa mon âme un peu anxieuse en ce moment It was during a Feast Day , on the last 15th August . There was a familial meal at our home . Someone pictured this bunch of grand children watching the TV . I was amazed in looking at this photo some days ago . I had the impression de see a picture in pastel , un bouquet of children , un Youth festival . This sight was soothing my soul a bit anxious a this moment . Et cette autre photo montrant les petits - enfants jouant au train avec leur tricycle me fit sourire , n ' est - elle pas pleine de vie . Quel plaisir , ils ont à jouer ensemble , sans souci aucun ! Nous percevons la joie de vivre et nous la respirons .. And this other photo showing the grand children playing train with their tricycles made me smile .Is n ' t it full of life . What a pleasure they have to play together , without any worry . We feel the joy of life and we breath it . ------------------- 5 petits- enfants manquaient ce jour là mais il est difficile de réunir tout le monde en plein été

Nous sommes restés seulement 4 jours dans cette pointe extrême de La Bretagne en début de Juillet . Mais nous avons pu rêver d ' aventure sur la mer et sur les eaux des rivières .
Au port de Camaret nous avons vu un grand voilier de 36 mètres de long en maintenance sur le quai . Il s ' appelait " Tara " mais en réalité c ' était le fameux Antarctica qui nous a fait rêver pendant les années 90 avec les expéditions polaires de Jean Louis Etienne . Il a été construit spécialement pour résister à la banquise avec sa coque ronde . Le nouveau propriétaire a changé le nom mais lui a conservé sa vocation d ' expéditions de découverte des beautés et aussi de la fragilité de notre planète . Ce bateau affrontera encore les glaces . L ' aventure !
We stayed only 4 days in this extrem west area of Brittany ( western France ) at the beginning of July . But we could dream about adventures over the sea and on the rivers .
At the Camaret harbour we saw a huge 36 meters long sailing boat in maintenance on the quay . It was called " Tara " but it was in the reality the famous French boat " Antarctica " that made us dream during the 90 ' s with Jean Louis Etienne ' s polar expeditions . This boat has been especially built to resist to the ice pack with its round hull . The new owner changed the name but kept its vocation of explorer of the beauties so fragile of our planet . This boat will face again the ice . Adventure !

Notre hôtel se trouvait sur la rive de la rivière canalisée l ' Aulne . De nombreux yachts étaient à quai . Janine et mi nous nous promenions sur le quai et dans un des bateaux nous entendîmes parler anglais . C ' était un couple d ' Anglais qui avait traversé la France en utilisant les canaux ( la France en beaucoup et certains très anciens ) . le soir ils mangeaient à côté de nous au restaurant . le bateau était leur hôtel . Ils allaient ensuite traverser la mer pour rejoindre l ' Angleterre . N ' est - ce pas là une belle aventure . ?
Our hotel was standing by the river - canal called " l ' Aulne " . Numerous yachts were staying along the quay . Janine and I went for a walk by the river and in one of the boats we heard people speaking English . It was a couple of Britishs who had crossed France in using the canals ( France has a lot of canals , some of them are very old ) . At night those two people were eating at our side at the restaurant . The boat was their hotel . They were going to cross the sea to join England . Isn' t it a great adventure ?

A quelques kilomètres de là nous avons découvert d ' une façon inattendue un port de pêche que nous ne connaissions pas ... Une énorme quantité de bateaux de pêche et des chantiers navals actifs nous ont laissé une impression de vie intense . Nous avons pensé à ces travailleurs de la mer inconnus . La pêche en mer est toujours une aventure dangereuse à laquelle ils ont à faire face .
Some kilometres further we discovered by an unexpected way a fishing harbour which we didn' t know . There were a lot of new fishing boats and also numerous shipyards very active . They all gave us an impression of intense life . We thought of those unknown sea workers . Fishing over the sea always is a dangerous adventure they have to face .

Ce que nous avons vu en peu de temps nous a donné des rêves d ' aventure .Mais la vie en elle - même n ' est elle pas déjà une incroyable aventure !.
What we saw in a few time gave us dreams of adventure . But already isn ' t life itself an incredible adventure ?

En juillet denier nous étions perdus dans un petit hameau en Bretagne . Il y avait seulement quelques maisons réellement typique de la région . Pas de rue droite ici ! Mais les maisons ont toutes ce style breton que nous aimons . malheureusemnt personne dans la rue .
Last July we were lost in a tiny hamlet in Brittany ( western part of France ) . There was only a few houses . They were really typical of the region . No straight street here ! But all the the houses had this Britton style we love . Unfortunatly no one was in the street .

Soudain je vois ma femme Janine très intéressée par la lecture d ' un panneau posée directement sur le sol . Puis au dessus de la porte je vois l ' enseigne " café " . Etait - ce possibe qu 'il y eût un café dans ce petit hameau . En effet les cafés ont presque tous disparu dans les villages . Maintenant les gens vont acheter leur boisson dans les supermarchés et boivent seuls dans leur maison . C ' est un aspect de la vie sociale qui a disparu . Hélas !
Suddenly I see my wife Janine captivated at reading a placard put directly on the ground . Then , above the door I see a sign " café " . Was it possible to find a café in such tiny hamlet ? Indeed almost all of the cafes have disappeared in the villages . Nowadays people go and buy their drink to the supermarkets and drink alone at home . It is a facett of the social life that has disappeared ! Alas !

Et c ' était bien un café ! Nous sommes entrés . Quel décor à l ' intérieur : nombreuses plantes , antiquités tels qu ' ancien mobilier d ' école , vieux livres scolaires , porte - plumes , ancien matériel pour faire le beurre , vieilles jarres et autres pots , anciens et récents journaux . Quelle charme ! Nous avons consommé une tasse de café , même pas une bière . Nous demandâmes à la femme qui tenait le café , comment elle pouvait vivre avec si peu d ' habitants . Elles nous expliqua qu' il était connu et que beaucoup de gens des environs venaient . Et il y avait aussi dans ce hameau un grand pèlerinage à un Saint local . En réalité ce café était sa passion , sa vie . Pendant que nous étions là il semblait que le temps s ' était arrêté .
And it was really a cafe ! We entered it . What a decoration inside ! numerous plants , antics like ancient shool furnitures , books , pens , ancient butter making tools or engine , old earthenware jars and other jugs , old and recent newspapers . What a charm . We had a cup of coffee , even not a beer . We asked the lady how she could live in a place with so few people in the hamlet . She told us the café was known and many people came here from the villages and even the town around . and also there was in this hamlet an important pilgrimage to a local Saint . In fact this cafe was her passion , her life . When we were there it seemed to us , time had stopped .

Sur la photo je tiens sur mes genoux mon dernier petit -fils Antoine Fauquet , 3 ans . Et je pensais que dans 50 ou 60 ans il tiendrait aussi son propre petit - fils sur ses genoux .
C ' est la chaîne des générations , la spirale de la vie qui continue ...dans l ' amour .

On the picture I hold on my knees my last grandson , Antoine Fauquet , three years old . I thought in about 50 or 60 years he will hold also his own grand son on his knees .
