  •                                 Crocus

                                     Crocus .

After the snow-drops here are the crocus . They are flowering in the lawn under the knotty Sophora : blue , purple or white . Every year they are there , discreet and humble .                                            Every  year at the middle of February , every year , Crocus , you always are there , reviving . And me I am there to look at you .

  • Bonjour des états. Le jardin de Diane est plein des bourgeons minuscules attendant juste pour fleurir. Notre temps est embrouillant. Première neige, puis un jour d'été. Oui c'est le jardin de Diane, pas mine.

There are many buds in Diane's garden waiting to bloom.

  • I love flowers..This weekend i bought a miniture rose bush for inside...Hope i dont kill it though, i only do well with plants..But we shall see...I love it,and keep looking at the beautifull little yellow roses...It brightens my day so much...I hope it thrives...

  • Ralph Martson is an author I often quote on my site. I belong to a list where he sends me a lot of the quotes I put on my site.

  • Your message is clear... new life is coming up...

    I'll keep that in mind...

(Johan's aunt passed away last Thursday, so I could use a few words pointing forward...to the One who let the crocus bloom! Thanks dear friend!)

  • I love the visitation of the crocus as well.  It is such good news to be reminded that spring will be coming soon.  I am looking forward to colour, since it has been a very grey and wet and windy winter in Wales!

    Your friend,

    Chele

  • Good one,Michel. Crocus. last week i saw the first one blowing and ,sorry to say that,i gave it to the Q.B.I don't like to cut flowers.
About the crocus. There are crocus all the time of the year,in the plains and in the mountains, all different colours. The most I love is the saffran crocus. When I was a little kid I used to go cut the saffran,so light and the colour like the son
They used it for make the gold colour in painting in the rainessance.
Now they make risotto and other things. In my village it brings luck. They are cultivating it again.
    Thanks and arrivederci

  • voiture intéressante oui?
    Very funny

  • As an old friend use to exclaim to me, "Spring is in the air!"

  • Hi, dear friend! Thanks for the visit, Michel.. You know. The more I read your blog, the more I want a trip to Europe. Middle of February? Sounds fine.

  • My yellow crocus are the only ones that have bloomed so far.  Usually the purple ones bloom after the yellows have all died.  I always love to see them bloom.  Even if there is snow on the ground they bloom.

  • you're the lucky one then michel?

  • I wish I could look out my window and see Crocus. but.....I won't even try. I know theres only snow.

  • Our daffodils are coming up now.  I love Crocus.

  • Crocus' are beautiful - they are one of the wonderful elements of spring.

  • wow.. thank you for the translation.. my French is poor.

  • There are here now too! Purple ones....loads of them... proudly telling of bright skies and spring....

But tonight the temperature will drop and it will be freezing... and tomorrow.... adn the day after....

  • Happy Valentine's Day !  The blooms are beautiful!    @-}-}---

  • Michel,

I love to read of your garden and it helps me to think of spring when it is so cold. My daffodils are getting big and the tips of my tulips are visible, but Ihave no crocus. Actually I have no flowers now since I am moving into a new house this week, but I shall remedy this this spring.   For my mother's 79th birthday I got her tulips in pots and told her I will plant them this fall for her in her beds.  Hers are not doing so well so it was time to add new bulns there.  I like to work in the flower beds.  it feels good to do so.

    enjoy them my friend,

                                     Deb

  • Have a nice day, Michel!
