Quand je suis appuyé sur le parapet du pont, je ne me fatigue jamais à regarder la petite rivière dans un village près d'Amiens. Son eau claire coule près de l'église et je suis bercé par sa douce musique. J'aime la voir couler entre les rives fleuries. J'éprouve des sensations diffuses, conduisant à une sorte de méditation et, je n’y peux rien je pense souvent alors  à  ce verset d'Ezéchiel 47,12 :
"Sur le torrent, sur ses bords de chaque côté, croîtront toutes sortes d'arbres fruitiers. Leur feuillage ne se flétrira point, et leurs fruits n'auront point de fin, ils mûriront tous les mois, parce que les eaux sortiront du sanctuaire. Leurs fruits serviront de nourriture, et leurs feuilles de remède."

When I 'm relied on the parapet of the bridge I never get tired of watching the little river in a village near Amiens.  Its clear water flows near the church and I am lulled by its soft music. I like to see it flowing between the flowered  banks . I am experiencing diffuse sensations, leading to a sort of  a meditation.  And, I cannot help,   I often think of the  verse  of Ezekiel: ^4712:“On the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”

Mais j'aime aussi les grands espaces où nous nous sentons attirés vers d'autres horizons: J'aime la plage déserte balayée par le vent et les immenses champs de blé envahis de coquelicots  qui s'étendent au-dessous du ciel. Tous ces grands espaces attirent l'âme vers les sommets et aident également à une méditation religieuse, où nous nous sentons à la fois rien et tout en même temps

  But I like also the large spaces where we feel attracted  towards other horizons : I love the  deserted beach swept  by the wind and the immense fields of wheat invaded by poppies that extend below the sky. All of those large spaces draw  the soul to the summits and help also to a religious meditation , where we feel at once nothing and all in the same time
