How fortunate to be able to have the family all together for the holiday. And such a lovely family. So many years between the first and the last child - kept Janine busy (and young) I'm sure. Such a devilish grin on Jean-Baptiste. It makes me smile too!

It is hard to believe that you have children that old...wait a minute...that would make me old too! Okay...let me re-phrase that one. It is hard to believe you have children in their 40s...Oui... Je crois que j'aime la voie qui semble beaucoup mieux!! ;O)
I will be sending you a photo soon of us all. As I was looking at one of the pictures taken I couldn't help but think how much I look like my mom.

We visited with my family and I saw my mom and dad and one of my brothers, Joey, my sister was away on a reasearch trip and my brother Peter lives in Mexico City and haven't seen him since 2000. Hopefully next time we will all be together.

What a wonderful picture, and such a beautiful family. Put this picture together with the one of your 12 grandchildren, and all the spouses of your children, and you have quite a crowd. We may have the 12 grandchildren, too, but we only have 2 sons, plus their wives. So, all of us together comes to only 18. You have much to be proud of!! How wonderful that Janine's father is still alive, and able to get around at his age. You are blessed, my friend!

I hope that 2007 will be a very good year for you and the family esp. your DIL. I notice that your family sons are all taller than you and the girls are taller than Janine. It was the same with Frank and I. Now 5 of the 7 GC are bigger than poor " little " me. You are a goodlooking bunch too.

RYC: You mentioned about our kids in the hot tub. They do not live down south. They live straight across the state from us. Normally, we would have near 0 degrees Farenheit around now, and several inches of snow on the ground. But this past Dec. average was 10 degrees F. above normal, and January is starting out the same. We are in the mid-40's for this week for the highs. Our ground is not even frozen---which is unheard of this time of the year. Neither are our rivers and smaller lakes. Global warming??? Who knows. All I know is that I am enjoying every minute of it.

WOW! Je viens juste de realiser... Ca fait un enfant tous les deux ans, puis tous les 3 ans pour les deux derniers... Ton epouse a bien du merite! Je suis quelquefois depassee avec seulement 2 bambins... LOL

RYC: I started and direct a women's center at the university, for 10 years now. It has been a wonderful, gratifying experience, but one I don't talk about on my blog, as I feel it is confidential in so many ways. We do counseling, and work with the student organizations, faculty and staff to develop events of gender interest...like sexual assault prevention, relationships, balancing work and family, community service. I am a social worker, and have been doing this kind of work for over 20 years (I know you think I am really young, but I am 49!).

Merci pour les bonnes souhaites! Rana est ma meilleure amie et elle fait mon blog si j'ai un annonce mais je ne peux pas trouver un ordinateur (comme hier soir). J'étais en Ecosse pour une semaine (j'ai débarqué pour l'Ecosse le 26 décembre). Hier soir mon vol était annulé, alors j'ai du passer la nuit à un hotel (mais le lit était TRES confortable hehe). Five children kept you busy did it not?
Sorry to confuse you over "Puttin on Moon Style." Ole is slang for Old just like puttin is slang for putting. In the south we have use of language that is unique The further south you go the more accent or drawl you would hear and we have a tendency to take off the y comin and goin, puttin and sittin.
Is your weather as strange as ours is? It's more like spring than winter here. Trees and birds are confused and it's just too warm.

Thierry is about a year older than our daughter who, with her family, spent Christmas and New Years with us here in Denver. And Carole about a year older.
Only thing is that daughter is our baby, all the rest of our kids are older.
They are now home in Eugene, Oregon, I think we enjoyed our holidays as much as you did Michel,.

RYC Yes, there have been studies on ventilator patients.. Those who do not get good oral care have much higher incidence of pneumonia!
