L ' humble jambe .
The humble leg .
English version below the picture
M Fauquet Feb .2006Lately I studied how was working my new camera and I took for a test a picture of what it was in front of the lens . It was my leg !! The pictures seemed rather good and I was going to suppress that photo become useless . But I didn' t .
I thought all of a sudden many things could be said about a leg . I hesited . Was not it silly to discourse on a leg ? Usually this is never or not often pictured . The face , yes ! The entire person ,yes ! But the humble leg ?
However isn' t it the leg that allows the Man to stand up vertically ? And by this way to support his / her very heavy brain and so an incredible intelligence and a self - consciousness ? Are not the legs that allow to walk and to discover the surrounding more and more farther and so to have an open mind ?
Finally I realized legs were not so humble and were too much despised . I had to make a post to rehabilitate them ( without play on words ! ) .
In posting this I take the risk to be called a leg- puller
. Perhaps ? But my readers are so kind and I am sure they will find other things to say about the humble leg !____________________________________________________________________________________
We thank all of you for your kind wishes for our anniversary . Michel and Janine

nice job
leg puller haha
thats such a deep thought about just a picture
"However isn' t it the leg that allows the Man to stand up vertically ? And by this way to support his / her very heavy brain and so an incredible intelligence and a self - consciousness ? Are not the legs that allow to walk and to discover the surrounding more and more farther and so to have an open mind ?"
that was so good
Yup the humble leg, ignored, never photographed, unless it belongs to a woman, then it might get some attention, right? lol Speaking of women's legs, there is a supermodel, Heidi Klum who has one of her legs insured for $ 2.2 million and another one for $ 1 million. The one that was insured for a lot less has a small scar on it from a childhood accident. Now, those are wealthy legs!
legs are a very important part of our bodies......my legs are so full of arthritis I am disabled now........as I used to be a dancer...my life has had to make a very big turnaround...never ever take your legs for granted!!!! I try very hard not to be depressed.....I pray a lot that's for sure!!! Oh well...God must have another plan for my life now that my children are all grown and my baby daughter leaves for college in September...
God bless you Michel and Janine too...I think of you often and you're in my prayers at night ((HUGS))) oh....happy anniversary too!!!!
cool shot of your leg Michel! it makes me want to get my camera out and see what cool pictures I can take! hope you have a good week!
You seem to "have a leg up on the world"!
Happy Anniversary to you and Janine. Many blessings ~ Paloma
love your shoes~!
You're so right - don't know where I would be without my legs doing all this training.
Looks like you don't have a leg to stand on! Very inciteful blog. I wanted to thank you for visiting and commenting. You're a sweetheart. Merci.
Great observation!
Have a blessed day!
Michele
my left leg aches heh
And a fine leg it is, too!
Of course it's all right to discourse on a leg--I did on a butt-lol! ryc: I agree with all!
thanks for commenting me do you like france write me thanks
You are a real leg puller Michel
. Your shoes look very clean as well
I just simply love, how you describe and appreciate everything..You are an amazing person...
I love to Leg---I mean log---onto your page to read what you write...
A hug, Michel...

ryc about how many pets I have. 4 cats, 1 dog (Georgina, a Boston Terrier), 2 parrots (Bobby, a Blue Conure and Junglebird, an African Grey parrot) and 1 Hermit crab (Marcel) who I adore.
From another post, an 'Mpeg' is a little movie I can take with my digital camera.
That is an interesting perspective of the leg (those are nice trousers and shoes!) It is easy to prefer or despise various members, but the body needs each part. It all works together!

That's not a humble leg! That's a sexy leg.
Just kidding.
Is that a fingerprint on your lens?
Pulling our legs...
Happy Anniversary to you and your wife as well and I hope many more happy returns of the day.
A leg puller, your a hoot, lol. It is like the body of Christ, ever part is important for the body to work correctly.
Well you said that you had a blog ready that was similar to my "hands", but Leg? Now what would we do with all our shoes without these great legs to connect us to our beloved feet? Blessings to you today.
Very thought provoking blog, Michel.
I agree with you, legs are a very vital part of our lives, and without them we would have so much less mobility. We do take for granted being able to walk around freely. I've always imagined the difficulties for people who don't have the use of either one or both legs. Our freedom to move around and overall health should be something every one of us should be grateful for.
nice legs!
How philosophical, Michel! Never heard anyone get philosophical about a leg before!! Maybe about a loved one's eyes or smile-----but never a leg! This is truly a unique blog, Michel! Do you share these ideas with Janine???
Nice leg of yours, Michel
Yes, I think often of legs, you know. I think it is amazing that these "sticks" can bend and move our feet places.
We can go anywhere just by picking up our feet and our body goes right along. We are fortunate to have such ability.
I love my very strong legs very much. Without them, I could not skate.
I love my arms too
Happy Spring

LOL! Leg puller.... I loved this post Michel! I has truely brought a smile to my day! Thank you Michel!
C'EST UN BON PHOTO! BONNE CHANCE AVEC LES PHOTOGRAPHIES NUMERIQUES!
Perhaps you should have posted this on April 1 - here, that is known as "April Fool's Day". : )
Leg puller that is funny. Yes are not our legs wonderous, Judi
You're breaking my legs, isn't that quite a not so nice thing to say in French, and very familiar as well? Tu me casses mes jambes? Or is it pieds? (I'm just writing it like I've heard it). Well, I like the picture as it is rather unusual. Hope you like your new camera.
First, my friend, a belated anniversary....second, the leg is good and the shoe and foot delightful! I think it has a little "sassiness" in it!
Hi Michel! You always come up with the most interesting thoughts and photographs. You can see so much in the simplest of things.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement you have given me.
Paula
RYC: The tiaras are because the King is our Father....which makes us a Princess. =)
Michel, I think whatever you choose to "talk" about on your blog, people will enjoy it. You have the ability to make people relax and think about the ordinary things in life. But isn't it the "ordinary things" that carry us through - our families, our jobs, our health, even our legs?! By doing that they become Extrordinary! Take care, my friend. - Rachel
désolée. ton blog m'a rendu triste.
I can see the humor in your blog, but I can also understand the meaning of what you have written. Having a brother who has lost his leg and eyesight to diabetes, really puts some meaning into what you say. Anyone is fortunate to have their limbs intact. It is a part of our body that we hardly think about, until we lose the use of them. They are priceless.
Another thought inspiring blog, Michel. Enjoy your new camera.
Have a great day!!!
Love
Edie Rose
I see that there no translation of " leg puller"
Is the new photocamera doing ok? I immagine is a digital one.
We expect a lot more pictures of legs, hands and more interesting subjets.
I am having trouble with my right leg right now. She is having problems carrying my weight Poor leg.
Our humble legs are wonders! Thanks for reminding me of more blessings I have. Have wonderful week
Amities
Bonjour, mon ami. I have a huge favor for myself as well as your own. I love the French language!! And I especially love coming over here and reading your posts...I understand some of it. I took a year of French in highgschool, but haven't kept up on it...Spanish for 4 1/2 years took over as the necessary language. But I wanted to know if you'd translate that poem I wrote over at my place. I bet it would sound so beautiful, n'est pas? I'll post it and give you full credit. Mercibeaucoup. (I totally forgot how to spell that!)
~
Erin
Excellent job making FC by pulling a leg. =)
That's actually a very good, introspective picture!
The leg is our support...if you have strong legs, you're well supported.
RYC: My name IS Marguerite. My nickname is Meghann as most people completely destroy the pronunciation of my name. A couple of my friends can pronounce it but not many.
Also, yes, the sword class I take is Haidong Gum Do, which is Korean.
Blessings!!
Marguerite (or Meghann)
Yes, seeing the men and women play against each other would be "different." I was just saying that, as good as they have gotten, the women college players are playing at about the same level as a good mens high school (16-18 years old typically) team. But the first comment has to do with the use of cliches and "trendy" new words by sportcasters, that they overdo it oftentimes. It is no substitute for really good descriptive abilities and can be distracting.
Michel, So nice to have you come by. I always so enjoy your visits. Judi
leg-puller, lol! i love this entry, it is very true that legs get little love, most people are too busy complaining about the size of their thighs. we should all post a picture of our legs as a tribute, lol!
and thanks for the condolences, they're appreciated. we did have a good time partying, its not too often i get to do it and with such good friends!
Oh no! I lost my legs in a train accident! I'm screwed!!!!
We take our legs and feet too much for granted.
Nice texture on your pants.
I haven't been visiting so I was not aware that it was your anniversary. Happy Anniversary to you and Janine. Your camera does to take very clear shots. thank you for your visit. huggs...Sassy
thanks for commenting me your very nice thank you
Legs are wonderful when they work. My legs have let me down so I sit, and you know what-- it's ok. GOD DOESN'T M AKE MISTAKES--so I use what I have left.I don't think that's being a Pollyanna, but merely being greatful. Goodness , I didn't mean to preach.Forgive me ?God Bless.
That picture is almost surreal looking..I like it. It's art.
Hi Michel: It's morning here so I will say Good Morning. It's hard for me to talk about Alan & Shirley on xanga because she has my name but no my son lives here in the States. Alan & Shirley live in England so do their children. They came here to visit me last year so if all works out I am going to visit them in England next year. If Ginx allows it depends on her health. They understand how much I love Ginx. I am looking forward to seeing England and getting to meet Marie, would be nice if I could meet you and your wife. I guess I need to call Alan's wife Shirl since we both have the same first and even middle name. However my trip to England want be until August or September of 2007. Gives me time to find someone I can trust to take care of Ginx for me. My daughter plans on going with me and I hope she does.

the leg is actually very important... it makes up practically half of your height and does a lot of things like kick a ball.. and it is often in the leg that you find ailments ^^
Mm... "Leg, thank you for being hard at work all these years and bringing me to places I want to go."
Hm, at least your shoes are shined!
Sorry about the time it takes for my page to load. I took the slide show off and will probably take the music off as well. I do appreciate you tell me about the problem though because I would not have known and would have thought that I made you mad or that you were sick if I hadn't heard from you in a while.
Take care my friend and I will try not to put too many photographs at one time on my page.
Love, :hearts:
Debbie
Nice self-portrait there! Legs, like most things (parents?), are never fully appreciated until they no longer support us! I don't get around very well; basically, my knees have deserted me, at least the working parts. Can't have knee replacement, I'm told, because of other health problems, but but my canes and I manage fine..
Just stopping by to say Hello, Michel! I hope you are well. I still always find your blogs to be most insigtful and intriguing.
<3,
Aubrey
love this tribute to the leg! how very unique!
and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words of inspiration concerning my Papa.. you are truly a wonderful, wonderful xanga friend!
I did not realize you were acquainted with "leg pulling"!! Over here we use "A leg up" to describe someone who aspires to a better position!
Yes, it's true that the face get's photographed a lot more than the legs, but how can you tell who's leg it is in the picture? It's easy to tell who's face is in a picture!
happy belated anniversary to you and your lovely wife!!
That's a real kicker Michel.
))))
I can't name anyone but I know for a fact there are thousands out there that would give a lot for some good legs. That makes them priceless to many who know what its like to be without. I hate to think of giving up either of mine.
Hope you and family are doing well. I am surviving, taking another class and trying to keep up with helping people to learn Paint Shop Pro a passion of mine that works well with digital photography.
I'll be back Michael, not sure when but my name will turn up when most unexpected.
Becca
Whoops, I have seen your leg, well I put my bruise on, and it didn't look as good as your clothed one. My worst feature has alsays been my legs ,especially as i got older. I think i am a bit bandy ,expect my parents let me walk to soon ,Ha, Ha, you said not many, but 73 before me, as I am late as usual .Love Marjie

Bonjour Michel!
Oh, the legs are so very important...God made us in such a wonderful way, especially when everythings works well.
I know you must be old enough to remember Betty Grable and how famous she was for her beautiful legs.
Have a blessed day.
Francoise.
Fantastic blog!!!! I love coming here and reading everything you write. And, such a happy, sweet picture of you and Janine. Glad it was a "Happy Anniversary" - sorry I was away and missed the day.
Lots of (((hugs))) and many smiles and much love to you both. ~Char
HAVE A WONDERFUL BLESSED PEACEFUL WEEKEND!!!!!!!!
A superhug,
Lucy
Yes our legs do enable us to get about but they also let us have shoes shoes and more shoes.
Bonjour, dear friend! Hoping your weekend will be magnifique!

Que pierna tan guapa!
Michael, you make the most interesting observations about everything around you! With my stress fracture in my left foot, I can atest that the legs and feet are most important. The boot I must wear is most bulky and makes walking difficult and tiring (the boot weighs about 10 lb.) How will I work in the garden with it on?
Carol Suzanne
i would never say humble...mighty
our legs carry us...everywhere
xo
Hey sweetys boy it was so pretty here yesterday 73 and now damp gray and 53 i hope it starts getting warmer and staying awhile God Bless you and yours
I so appreciate this blog, Michel. We all too often take our legs for granted. Myself, I am thankful Jehovah created us with legs, so as to carry out the work man has been given to do by Him.
wow, practicing with your new camera is way cool hehe.. uhm, i heard there's something happened there in your country.. why do people rallied for?
hello hope your haveing a wonderful day God Bless
HAPPY SUNDAY
Dear Michel, I am so honoured that you are entertaining the thought of translating my poem. I could not possibly be mad at someone so generous for needing to attend to other matters. Take your time. I'll be here. Bon chance with what you need to get done...and merci again for coming by and leaving such beautiful comments. You have a beautiful soul.
The legs are the wheels of creativity.....Albert Einstein

Oh Michel, many happy congratulations on your 45th anny with Janine. Mine will be 35th in October. Connor is the top picture, Shelby is in the middle and Lee is on the bottom.
Michel Thank you so much for visiting I always enjoy your visits so. Thank you for the kind words. I love to write it is a passion. I live in my head so I guess I love to think too. Blessings to you and your wife, Judi

Thankyou, you are a very kind man.
i was just kidding! it was a joke! i have my legs! both of them!
the humble leg indeed! all the pedaling that i do i know first hand how important that limb of limbs can be! that is a fine post!
No, you are right about leg pulling, for it is making a joke. I meant the phrase, "A leg up." was trying to aspire to something higher and needing help or "a leg up."!!!
I wish I had a picture of my hair in corn rows, but I will not go thru the pain of getting them again. I don't know how they endure it!
I warmly invite to respond to the ‘Dyin to be Alive’ survey. With lots of interest in your reply, Mike.
Has your other leg become jealous since you are only writing about one?
You are an amazing man. You take a picture of something as simple as a leg and have such deep thought over it.
ryc: what one considers humor-another finds it in extremely bad taste. I have a very fine eye then, his body is gorgeous! My weekend was lazy, how was your's?
hi there! nice shot of the leg!! helps you get to the right places in time!ya have check out my blog to see what i mean!lol
mimi
lol Very true about the leg!

Hi Michel: Just stopping by to wish you a happy relaxing day. Dang those midwest storms blew in the rain, wind and cold air here, brrrrrrrrrr feels like winter again. Hope it's warmer Thursday when I leave for my trip.
Shirley

Ciao, a bientôt.
Annalisa
It is indeed hard to walk without legs
Imagine how hard it is to cycle, or drive a car, when your legs don't function... my mom knows as she is in a wheelchair. Her leg was badly infected with a hospital-bacteria fourteen years ago. It is sad that there is nothing that can be done to improve her condition... so I am grateful for the full function of mine
Hey sweety hope all is well your way . Hows your weather? Its crazy here 73 the day before yesterday 63 and thunderstorms yesterday today 32 brrrrr will it snow I hope not
:( Hope warm weathers back soooon God Bless
HAPPY EASTER TIME
I knew the quote was real we are miscommunicating here. I just found it amusing what he told his body. If you knew what you had to face and etc. Judi

It's amazing that we do not think much about our legs or our wonderful hands until they do not work properly, and then we lament greatly!
