Cette grosse araignée

Traversant le trottoir quand j ' arrivais

L  ' autre nuit .

J ' eus juste le temps de m ' arrêter

Pour ne pas l ' écraser

Et de la regarder

En droite ligne filer

D ' un point à un autre ,

This big spider

Crossing my way on the sidewalk

Last night .

I stopped just right

and didn' t not crush it .

I had just time to see it

Rushing straight away

From a point to another ,
