Aujourd’hui j’enlevais les mauvaises herbes sous le grand cerisier avec une houe quand soudainement je fis sauter une grosse pomme de terre étrange, , oubliée dans cette zone ombragée et non utilisée. Malheureusement la houe l’avait coupée en deux . J’étais intrigué par les caractéristiques étranges de ce tubercule lequel faisait penser très vaguement à un corps humain. J’avais planté là, il y a quelques années une variété de pommes de terre appelée Pompadour. Probablement cette plante se sera reproduite, année après année dans cette terre non cultivée maintenant parce que situé sous l’arbre qui la recouvre de son ombre.
A propos de Pompadour chacun sait qu’ elle était la maîtresse du roi Louis XV. J’ai étudié soigneusement ce tubercule qui évoque des formes humaines . Je pris une photo d’une partie puis des deux parties rassemblées. Nous pouvons penser à des choses variées en regardant ces photos . C’ est comme lorsqu’on regarde une peinture, on peut l’interpréter différemment..Je vous laisse donc réfléchir à ceci.
Today I was removing the weeds under the large cherry tree in using a hoe when suddenly I made jump a big odd potatoe, forgotten in this shadowed and not used area . Unfortunately it was cut in two parts by the hoe . I was intrigued by the weird features of this tuber and especially by those round shapes which made me think very vaguely of a human body . I had planted some years ago at this place a variety of potatoes called Pompadour . Probably this plant had reproduced itself, year to year, in this ground not planted now because just below the tree that covers the surface with its shadow..
About Pompadour, everyone knows she was the the French king Louis XV's mistress..I studied carefully this tuber that evokes humane forms. I took a photo of a part then the two parts gathered. We can think of various things at watching them . It is like when we look at a painting we can interpret differently . So, I let you think about this.

Les fameuses pomme de terre pompadour trouvées sous le cerisier ont été mangées hier midi . Elles ont été cuites dans l ' eau, en petits morceaux qui ont été pelées puis enfin rissolées dans le beurre dans une casserole . Un délice!

a donné dans son commentaire une explication intéressante, quant à la forme étrange de cette pomme de terre Pompadour trouvé dans une zone non utilisée pendant un certain temps dans l'ombre sous le cerisier : « les pommes de terre sont de si intéressantes plantes et très déterminées pour survivre . Je soupçonne qu’un minuscule tubercule or deux ou trois ont survécu et au long des années se sont accrus un peu plus. Non récoltés ils pu continuer à se multiplier pour vous apparaître comme un trsor enterré sous le cerisier »
The famous potato pompadour found below the cherry tree have eaten yesterday at noon. They were cooked in water, cut into small pieces that have been peeled and finally fried in butter in a pan. A delight!
@epeemom gave in her comment an interesting explanation, about the odd form of that Pompadour potatoe found in an area not used for a while in the shadow below the cherry tree:” Potatoes are such interesting vegetables, and very determined to survive. I suspect a smallish potato or two or three survived and through the year grew a bit stronger. Unharvested, they were able to continue to reproduce and presented you with buried treasure under the cherry tree.”
