I would love to hear your choir. We sang carols at church the other night, and I really enjoyed singing the bass line. I was in a choir many years ago while I was in college.
We're barely beginning to decorate our house. All my boxes are piled in the garage, and I don't know where my decor is. Sounds like you'll have a large, joyous group! I hope my children will come next year. Since they came to the wedding, they can't come again right now.
Your home is beautiful. I loved the decor, Janine has done a good job of it.
And I couldn't help laughing at how you are singing so earnestly. :goodjob:
Yes this time of the year is very busy, and when you have grandchildren coming, it is more fun.
And a Very Merry Christmas to you my friend....
The music is beautiful. Thank you for sharing that and your decorations. Merry Christmas!!
Beautiful song! Bach was one of the first Lutheran composers, too
Have a blessed Christmas!
Dieu vous bénisse... c'est pour la joie
Merry Christmas Michel <3 and much love and new hopes for this comming year
I enjoyed the video a lot, it's a beautiful piece and so it's the landscape.
Your music is beautiful. The church is beautiful. The dining room is beautiful. Merry Christmas to you too and all your family.
What a beautiful church and beautiful singing. That soaring, religious music can bring a tear to my eye, even if I don't understand the words!
It sounds like you will have a wonderful time with your houseful of family! Do you have foods that are traditional for your family?
Yes, this is indeed a busy time of year with all the decorating, shopping and preparing for the festivities. Your place looks wonderful in the photo, Michel. And I enjoyed listening to the choir! Very lovely!
Best wishes to you, Janine and the entire family for the holiday! Cheers, mon ami!
What a lovely post! Merry Christmas!!
Un séjour béni, mon ange sur la terre. AMEN''

I just love the Christmas season, decorations, music and family, getting a glimpse at other houses is fun, thank you for sharing and may you have a blessed Season
Beautiful !!! And thank you for sharing it with us. God Bless you and Merry Christmas to you and your family !
The Cantata was beautiful, thanks for sharing that sweet moment with us! regarding your comment at my blog, yes the current is quite swift where we were, Nash has strict orders never to go to the creek without an adult, So far he's obeyed that rule very well. The girls in my profile are my twin daughters Anna and Sarah, twins are delightful as you know ilym :sunny:  Merry Christmas to You and Yours!
Beautiful post Michel. So glad that your family with children and grandchildren will be graced once again. Blessing to you and yours on this holiday. The choir sounded so good. Thank you for posting it.
Zakiah.
Loved the singing. I love Christmas carols! Hope your Christmas is warm and bright and maybe a little of the white stuff on the ground?
Answer to @Whyzat : The special food in my family at Christmas Day is an English dessert: the plum pudding . No many know this dessert in France excepted those like me who are born near the coast in front of England . There was a strong English presence in my birth area . All of my children love this dessert only prepareed for Christmas Day. My wife got the recipe from an aunt of mine/ See the link.
A joy to hear the choir in such good form! The sound was very full!! I wish I could have heard the whole preformance!! Bravo! And Merry Christmas!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and new year!!
:heartbeat:
Et un joyeux noel pour vous aussi!
Beautiful!
La salle est belle! Janine a bien fait avec les decorations.
J'aimerais aller voir ta chorale! J'adore la musique chorale dans les eglises. Je suis heureux que Janine a enregistré la video.
Joyeux noel!
The most merry and joyous of Christmases to you and yours ~
Merry Christmas to you too, Michel. Joyeux Noël.
The choir sounds beautiful, and what a beautiful church to be singing in. You will have quite a house full on Christmas! Joyeux Noel, Michel!
Your post is another reason I enjoy the season. Best wishes, my friend.
Beautiful music. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas, Michel.
You have such a beautiful home and nice prepared for Christmas. I am in awe of those churches.
I recall a TV reporter that lost his composure while visiting an old church over 1000 years old somewhere. He said, 'I realized the people have been praying in this church for 1000 years, and he lost his composure. That is kind of amazing really.
blessings to you and your family,
frank
All very beautiful
This is a lovely post, Michel -- both the decorations and the music are beautiful! Plum Pudding was also a special Christmas food in my family -- my mother was English, and she got the recipe from an aunt of my father's. She would mix the pudding on Thanksgiving weekend (last weekend in November, let it age with the rum in it, we would all stir it for good luck as we went by it, and it would have all the trinkets in it. It was a very special treat to make the "brandy sauce" (hard sauce with brandy in it) on Christmas morning! As I grew up, my friends didn't understand making a pudding of plums, but it was the special food that made it our Christmas dinner!
Reading the link for plum pudding brought back more memories -- part of the special thing about our Scottish plum puddings was that they were doused in rum justs before serving, and 'flamed,' or set on fire. My mother told a story of when she was young -- they lived in Egypt, and had servants -- her mother asked one of the servants to pour 'spirits' over the pudding and flame it -- but the servant thought she meant kerosene!
Your choir sounds Heavenly Michel and your home looks beautiful.
A very blessed Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Your voices together are so beautiful and ring in the feeling of Christmas like nothing else. Joyeux Noël !
Your home is just beautiful! Yay!
Answer to @slmret ABOVE yes Janet the plum pudding is doused in rum just before serving, and 'flamed"(flambé),. We shut the lights and we shout "ah ! "of amazement at seeing the fames .The plum pudding is really our delighted food at Christmas . oF COURSE IT IS ONLY THE DESSERT ;
That picture of you in your choir is beautiful! I love the video. And your house looks lovely. You give such an impression of hustle and busy but fun days for the holiday, and what a big group you will have! Do you speak German? It's amazing you sing in German. Merry Christmas! And I noticed your plum pudding comment. My grandmother always made us plumb pudding but not lately. It's wonderful! <3
Merry Christmas to you and your family Michel. Plum pudding sounds wonderful but I bet hard to make.
It's so wonderful to hear and see you sing, Friend!
Thank you for the "mini" and I agree with you--no one knows the time or place but God !
Wow! Awesome music Michel. Bravo!!!
RYC: I have left a reply on my site. Also, regarding herbs. Many remedies can be used in the form of tea or infusion. It might be more cost effective to buy in bulk from an herb company. We have what we call co-ops here. A group of people make purchases in bulk and then divide up the products and pay their share of the total cost.
If you find people who are interested in the organic and natural remedies you could form your own small co-op and order from a place that sells in bulk quantities.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Michel. Your church is beautiful and your choir makes a beautiful sound in it! We don't have such richness here in Pennsylvania. Well, maybe a little. I'll have to do a post on the castle in Franklin, Pennsylvania someday!
Janine is making happy memories for the grandchildren. The singing made me feel chills of joy. I did not send any Christmas cards this year but I still want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. :heartbeat:
Merry Christmas, Michel and Janine! Thanks so much for sharing the video, I loved listening to it. : )

Thank you Michel for sharing a little bit of your Christmas. I too, like Janine, had decorations laying all about, but finally everything found its place. Your short singing video was wonderful.
I want to wish you and Janine along with your family a very Blessed and Merry Christmas and much happiness for the coming New Year.
love...Marilyn & John
What beauty...both the decorations and the wonderful music....so appropriate for the magnificant and historical church. I can imagine people in earlier times singing the same beautiful tribute in the same place.
May the season continue to bring you joy and spiritual peace. A beautiful time of the year to remember why Christ came.
Love,
votre amie,
Francoise.
Why do the robots copy everything?
Magnificent Merry Christmas to you and your family =)
hello Michel. When referring to the word cloud in Windows 8, I am referring to the screen that appeared after the sign in start up screen clears.
It is filled with apps that you can click and unclick to take you to places online. Microsoft calls it "the cloud" because it seems to float across the screen. There are hundreds of apps you can pin (add to) the screen that is called the cloud.
You can also make your own apps by pinning your fav websites to the cloud, in my case Xanga, so all you do after you have added it to the cloud screen is click on it and you go right to it.
The "charm bar" is the side bar on the right side of the screen that has things like power on and off, devices, etc.
You tube has tutorials on windows 8 also that are very helpful.
Tres bien! JOYEUX NOËL! ~ Pierre
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
Joyeux Noel! The choir sings so beautifully and Janine did a great job recording it for your Xanga friends. That music is magical in its beauty! There is my Michel, in the front and center, singing his little heart out! Then I see the fine decorating from Janine to make your home a beautiful place for the holidays. Such grandeur! Such talent! What a wonderful family you have! Have a blessed Christmas!
All of us here wish you a Merry Christmas, Michel. We are all well and looking forward to the holiday and the week off from school and work. Cherish those beautiful babies and grandchildren...you are a lucky man! Love,
Karen and Neil
I very much enjoyed the choir in the video. Now is the season for joyous singing.
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Your home looks very festive and I know it will be a joyful gathering of your family. The church is beautiful, especially those stained glass windows. Singing in the choir must be very uplifting and Christmas carols most of all. Thank you for all of your kindness and comments this year. Merry Christmas to you and all of your loved ones.
I, too, am waiting for Christmas as according to the liturgical calendar, we are still in Advent, but Christmas is close, now. Also, since I like to adhere to liturgial calendar, my Christmas celebration isn't over on 26th (St. Stephen's Day), but runs to Epiphany, Jan. 6th. I know that you sing in choir, and I'm sure you enjoy doing so. I know I do. Our choir will sing once more at 6:00 PM Christmas Eve. service. I'm short of time now, but I hope to return to access the choir video. Peace, Love & Joy of the Season to you and family.
Thank you for checking in on me. All is well in Lena-Land. I just haven't felt like blogging lately. I am THRILLED with the outcome of our election and encouraged by the general left moving energy in our country. Seems like governance with sound reasoning, caring and a voice for all is becoming more and more the majority preference Yay!
Have a Merry Christmas, handsome Michel! As always, I completely enjoyed this post!
beautifully busy Christmas!
Beautiful!
Michel, I received your lovely card today!!
Thanks so much, and have a wonderful Christmas!! :heartbeat:
RYC: I totally forgot about it until yesterday morning. I figured Jesus wouldn't end the world, 4 days before his birthday! (I hurt my neck doing new PT exercises, so apparently, I'm not healed from my injuries yet, but I'm enjoying the time off to spend with my children and husband and just thinking of what life has in store for me. I was a little depressed at first, but now, it's relief. The American Healthcare system is going to pot and I'm lucky I got out when I did!!! Whew!)
And a Merry, Merry Christmas to you, my friend! It gives me great joy to think of you celebrating with your very large family group! At my husband's family get-together, we will be about 23 or more, I think!
RYC: Oh my! Take care of yourself. Carrying logs is one thing in life I don't miss! =) Have a Merry Christmas too!
What a marvellous video, and your room looks like the room of a king.
Merry Christmas to you and family and keep slow with the pudding, it seems heavy.
I'm back from Amsterdam and kind of tired from the long driving in the rain.
The video you commented I wasn't ready yet when you did comment, I was looking for the music. Thanks for your kind comments, I don't know how you do it. Do you get notifications from youtube

Oh how lovely... I always love Carol singing.
I'm so excited, I just had to share this info with you since it pertains to France. I didn't even know about this algae plant in Clinton! No wonder our gas went down nearly $2 per gallon!http://thewatchtowersearth.blogspot.com/2012/12/solazyme-inc.html
Michel--you have been a very kind friend to me...Joyeux Noel, and I look forward to more posts from you (and me!) in 2013!!
