   Le 11 Août dernier , c ‘ était la veille de l‘anniversaire d ‘un ami canadien . Il vit près de Toronto et parle Anglais.
C’est un vétéran de la 2^ème guerre mondiale que je connus en 1944 en France . J’ étais un enfant de 11 ans , intrépide et patriote . J’ ai déjà raconté cette histoire par le passé .
Il parlait anglais mais devait pouvoir dire quelques mots en Français à cette époque.

  Donc le 11 Août dernier je téléphonais d’ Amiens au Canada pour lui souhaiter un heureux 90^ème anniversaire. J ‘ eus de la chance car mon appel arriva en plein milieu de la fête d’ anniversaire !!!

  Un membre de sa famille l’ a photographié pendant la conversation téléphonique au moment où il levait son verre pour me porter un toast ….en Français :  «  A votre santé , Michel ! « 

  En fait je suis fortement sourd pour l’ anglais parlé et je le parle difficilement !! Je ne suis pas sûr que nous ayons compris tout ce que nous disions mais le cœur y était .

  Voici donc cette fameuse photo de vœux d’anniversaire envoyés par téléphone et …photographiés . N’ est – ce pas amusant , étonnant et touchant ?

  The last August 11 was the eve of a Canadian friend ‘ s birthday . He lives near Toronto and speaks English.
He is a vet. of  the War II that I knew in 1944 in France . I was a 11 year old child , intrepid and patriot. I already have related this story in the past on Xanga.
He spoke English but probably was able to say some words in French .

  So , on the 11^th of August I phoned from Amiens ( France ) to Canada to wish him a happy 90^th birthday . I have been lucky since my call was right in the middle of the birthday party !!!

  A family member took a picture of him while he talked to me in raising his glass for a toast . “ A votre santé , Michel “ he said …in French what it means  ­­­cheer  !

   In fact I am strongly deaf for the English spoken and I speak it with difficulties !! I am not sure we have understood the all of what we are saying but it was said with the heart .
