          Ces dernières semaines notre choeur donna deux concerts . Nous avons chanté du Saint  Saens , Gounod , Mozart, van Berchem etc …
  J’ ai toujours aimé chanter . Et je chante comme ténor . Chanter dans un chœur vous apporte la profonde émotion de participer à l ‘ harmonie de la polyphonie , à la beauté de la mélodie .
   La musique est un sublime langage . Vous vous sentez joyeux et en paix .

 

     This last weeks our choir gave two concerts . We sang pieces of Saint Saens , Gounod , Mozart , Van Berchem etc… .
I always have  loved to sing . And I sing as a tenor .Singing in a choir brings to you the deep emotion to participate to the harmony of the polyphony  , to the beauty of the melody.
 Music is a sublime language .You feel  yourself  in joy and peace .

   Mon collègue plaisante malicieusement et

 Nous attendions le début de la répétition assis sur un banc .

   Ceci est une photo de la répétition incluant exercices respiratoires , vocalisations .
   Comme vous le voyez sur la photo nous sommes détendus mais sérieux ( dans l’ ensemble ).
   Je suis au milieu du premier rang ( portant des chaussures marron !!!)

 

 

 

   This is a picture of the rehearsal including respiratory exercises ,  exercises in vocalization  .
   As you see on the pictures we are relaxed but serious ( all in all  ).
    I am at the middle of the first row . ( wearing  red/ brown shoes !!  )

 

 

 

 

    Répétition et concert durent au moins 3 ou 4 heures et c ‘ est épuisant .
   C’ est  ce que mon affreuse et pitoyable face montre sur la photo ….Je suis assoiffé et affamé !! Fatigué mais heureux .
   Et samedi prochain 2 juin , c’ est moi qui dirigerai le chœur à un mariage !! ( le chef de chœur n’ étant pas libre )

 

 

 

   Rehearsal and concert last 3 or 4 hours and this is exhausting .  
   This is what my awful and pitiful face shows on the picture  . I am thirsty and hungry !! Tired but happy .
   And next Saturday June 2 , this is me who will direst the choir for a wedding  !! ( the master of the choir being not available )

Julie a 20 ans .
Julie is 20 .

 En ce mois de mai 2007 , l ‘ aînée de nos petits enfants , Julie , a eu 20 ans .
Ceci me rappelle qu’il y a 5 ans je » bloggais » sous le titre de métamorphose : elle venait d’ avoir 15 ans .
Ainsi Xanga apparaît comme un outil de mesure du temps qui passe .

 Les jours et les nuits , les mois , les saisons nous donne une idée du rythme du temps
mais l’ idée de durée vient en voyant nos enfants et petits- enfants grandir .
Ceci n’ est pas une « pensée exceptionnelle " mais c’ est ce que Janine et moi vivons .
La mère de Julie , Carole , est notre fille aînée qui a 45 ans . Ainsi va la vie .

 Julie 2007 ( 20 ) She is wearing a student 's hat . Elle porte un calot d ' étudiant .

  On this month of May 2007 , my oldest grand daughter Julie  hit 20 .
This remember me , 5 years ago I blogged about her under the title of “ metamorphosis “ : she had just had  15..
So,  Xanga looks like a tool of measure of the flowing time .
 
 The days and the nights ,  the months , the seasons give to us an idea of rhythm of time
but the idea of duration comes in seeing our children and grandchildren growing up .
This  is not an “exceptional thought ” but this is what Janine and I are living .
Julie‘s mother is Carole , our oldest child who is 45 years old . So life is going on .

Du mieux pour Marina

Marina is a bit better

   Mes lecteurs se souviennent que ma belle - fille Marina a été opérée le 23 novembre 2006 pour un cancer au poumon . Mais le chirurgien n ' a pas enlevé la tumeur . Il en a prélevé un fragment et une première  analyse a montré que ce cancer était chimio sensible . Il a décidé une chimiothérapie pour réduire le volume de cette grosse tumeur . Après quoi il opérera .
   Mais les autres  analyses a été très longues et finalement le diagnostic était un cancer de la plèvre côté coeur . La chimio  a seulement commencé le 1er Février et elle a duré sur Février -Mars . ( 3 séances ) . Des examens ont eu lieu a la mi Avril  . Marina se sentait un peu plus forte et ils ont fait un séjour en Bretagne pour se changer les idées . Voici quelques photos d ' Avril dernier .

   My readers remember my daugther - in - law , Marina , had a surgery on November 23 ,  2006 for a lung cancer but the surgeon didn' t remove the tumor . He took only a bit of it and a first analysis showed that  the cancer was very reacting to the chemo . He decided a chemo-therapy to reduce the size of that big tumor . Afterwards he will remove it by a second surgery .
  But the  different analysis asked much time and finally the diagnose was a pleura cancer ( heart side ) . The chemo started only the first of February 2007 and it lasted over February /March ( 3 chemos ) . Afterwards she had exams at mid April . Marina felt herself less weak and she  took with husband and children a stay in Britany to change their mind . Here are some pictures

 Et le 2 mai 2007 Marina nous envoyait le message suivant :  

  " Bonjour à tous, je viens d’apprendre par téléphone les résultats des examens que j’ai passés. La chimio a eu de l’effet, ma tumeur a diminué, pas de 50% mais elle a bien diminué selon le médecin. Je vais donc continuer avec cette chimio fin mai pour 3 autres cures. Cela fait du bien au moral !
  Encore merci pour votre soutien. "

And last May 2 , Marina sent to us the following message :

" hello to all ! I have just learnt by phone the results of the exams that I had . The chemo has been efficient , my tumor has diminished , not 50% but it has much diminished according the doctor . So I am going to continue the same chemo to start at the end of May ( 3 chemos ) . It' s good to keep a good spirit !
  Thank you again for your support "

 

 And Janine and I thank you my friends for your thoughts and prayers .

 

Besoin et causalité

  Antoine ( 4 ans ) et Manon ( 6 ans ) souhaitaient « travailler «  avec Janine . Qu’ est ce que cela signifiait pour eux ? Un jeu ?

Un besoin  de faire quelque chose qui leur apportait du plaisir ? Ma femme Janine a donc joué le jeu de la pédagogie du besoin ..
Manon elle – même  a fabiqué ce jour là de la pâte à tarte . Antoine , lui , coupait soigneusement des tranches de pomme de terre ( tenues par sa grand ‘ mère ) pour faire des frites .
A la fin Manon fut fière de voir sa pâte à tarte réussie et Antoine a pu contempler avec satisfaction les belles frites qu’il avait faites .

 Ils avaient eu le plaisir de jouer et de réussir mais en même temps se construisait en eux la notion de causalité .
Du plaisir d’ être cause naît un peu plus  dans l’ esprit de l’ enfant la notion de cause elle –même . La raison s’installe  .
Je pense que nous avons à être attentifs aux besoins exprimés par le jeune enfant pour favoriser son développement  .

  Antoine ( 4 ans ) and Manon ( 6 ans ) wished to «  work « with Janine .  What did this mean for them . A game ? A need
to make something that brought pleasure to them ?  My wife Janine played the  game of the pedagogy of the need .
Manon made a pastry for a pie on her own  and  Antoine cut carefully slices of potatoe held  by his grandmother to make French fries .
At the end Manon was proud to see her pastry perfectly made and Antoine was satisfied to see the beautiful French fries that he had made .

  They had the pleasure to play and to succeed but in the same time they got a little more  the notion of causality .
From the pleasure to be cause comes in the children ‘ s mind the notion of cause itself . The reason takes place .
I think we have to be attentive to the needs expressed by the young child to help him to grow up .
