Awww! I love the trees. And great shot of your grandson! Do you visit them in England?
P.S. What is that red thing past the trees?
how totally delightful. I can tell that he loves the beautiful game.
And ahh, Michel, your gardens. What wonders.
Very valiant! You are surrounded by champions and beauty.
Yes, Joe looks so professional. He's a handsome fellow.
Your spring lane photo is a work of art. I would like to walk to that red tulip. Maybe even beyond.
I miss being a kid, the care free adventure of it. Wow, your garden is beautiful.
You should be proud to have such a sweet grandson! I love the picture of your garden. I'd love to take a walk down that path, it looks so beautiful and peaceful!
<3,
Aubrey
that is a great photo of your grandson- he is so focused. mmmm trees in bloom it is truly spring in your part of the world. -g
Goodness Michel you have a beautiful property in which you live and love your amazing family.
Your grandson Joe is absolutely adorrrrable. I want to hug him!!
Happy Spring to you.
I must get out and take pictures!!
*sigh* He looks like he is having such fun. The garden is beautiful. I can't wait until things start blooming here.
Hope you are well. Ang
A very valiant grandson, indeed. And the garden looks absolutely dreamy.
beautiful!!!
Your photos are always so cheerful and beautiful and these are no different - your grandson looks very dashing and energetic, and your garden is spectacular! Thank you for sharing them

How little boys love to play football, and they remain little forever....!
Grandsons are such a blessing.
The blossom trees are a homage to nature,oh to just to sit surrounded by the soft silent aura of spring, one can but dream..

I have a 5 year old but he isn't ever slow enough in play to get a unblurred pic of. Your grandson looks like he is having a great time!
Like the lane and plants in the lower pic.
Wow ! He could play for France or England some day. He looks very comfortable with the ball - a sign of a good player. All the shrubs are flowering now and so is my hay-fever
It's lovely walking round the garden and seeing it come back to life.
Marie
I notice Joe's 'San Francisco' T-shirt.
(although I know nothing about soccer)
Oh, how I love the look of your flowering trees lining the path of your garden. They evoked a sense of desire to travel down the path and see what lies ahead. It is with great anticipation that I await the time that I will be able to have such a path on my own land. I love it when landscape brings on feelings of adventure...a desire to commune with nature and therein I always feel closer to my Creator.
We are close to finishing two major projects at our eternal house of renovations. I am seeing an end in sight and am totally thrilled about it. It has been trying at times to live in a construction zone, but I always say that God gives you the keys to do the things He has called you to do. I will just rejoice when this season has past!
We are well into planting the garden...and I can say that I am eagerly awaiting the bounty. I am excited to look at new recipes that I can use to store the food that we will blessed with. I can't wait to make more jams (and to teach the girls this year) and make sauces for pasta or salsa or soups. I am getting very hungry now as I am picturing (and smelling) what is to come.
Have a great week and say hello to your family. I am still praying for Marina.
Karen
Does Joe speak English and French? We didn't know much about soccer until my oldest daughter started playing 4 years ago. Now we really enjoy it. Your pictures are always so beautiful and your comments as well. I have a new pic of my granddaughter on my site.
Have a wonderful week!
Bonnie
The gardens are filled with the Promise of renewal....so magnificent. As you little grandson is too. Aren't children wonderful...God's most bountiful gift.
I want to thank you...so much...for letting the narrator on to my GONE TO AMERICA eulogy. He is a "rare" man of enormous talent and love. I can't say that about every xangan I have met and many do express love in all they write, but he is unique. So thank you, dear Michel for sharing this rare kind of man with me.
GraceAnn
If he becomes a great soccer star will he play for England or France ?. The spring is beautiful here now with all this lovely weather we are having now. Fingers cross it stays like this to next Saturday
Joe looks like he's having lots of fun!
We had a big freeze here last week and it killed all of my flowers.
The flowere are beautiful! Your grandson is quite bonny! Blessings abound
Ciao.
Oh what a beautiful garden! It looks like something from a storybook, it's so perfect. How wonderful it would be to stand in such a place & smell all of the lovely blossoms & enjoy the peace of nature.
Both the child and blossoms are things of beauty, Dear Friend.
Thank you for always sharing joyous pictures! They are delightful to see, and it's great appreciating the good things with you!
How beautiful, the flowers are in bloom and it is so green!! Your grandson is an absolute blessing to watch isnt he? Watching him play ahhhh you can see the making of a future footballer
thank you for sharing!
Joe does have style kicking the ball!! It's a terrific picture of him there.
Aren't those blossoms gorgeous!! That lane way is tempting me to walk right through this screen and wander down it!
RYC: I think America's right to bear arms in their constitution does make it much easier for those that are mentally unbalanced in society to get hold of guns. Unfortunately mental illness is a growing problem in our societies, and with government funding for facilities dealing with this being cut, we are going to see more future tragedies.
Hi Michel: Beautiful tree. I love to see the tree's, pkants and flowers as they bloom to life. Your grandson is adorable. The weather is here is finally getting warmer I hope it stays that way.
Shirley
He looks like he's having a great time.
I love that he's wearing a shirt that says San Francisco on it!
He's valiant indeed.
wow... so many flowers... and i hope fruits soon?
It's nice to know that Spring did not get ruined everywhere. I was just looking at all the leaves that were killed on our pear tree today. I hope it recovers.
What a sweet picture of your grandson, totally focused on his play! I don't know much about soccer; it was not popular here when I was younger. But I have a (much-younger) brother-in-law who sometimes travels to England or elsewhere to see important games.
Cute!! We have no flowers here because last week we had horribly cold weather.
Your grandson looks like a serious soccor player. Your picture of the flowers, looks so peaceful.
Michel...you have one of those gardenz I'd stop during a walk to catch a second glimpse
Someday I will create a beautiful garden like yours for myself!
Things are going well. I have been on this kick of funny kitty pictures they make me laugh need a good laugh. Judi
The next football champion is there. Ladie's football, of course.
We are having a nice spring and the treees are happy.

It is amazing how young children now learn and participate in sports. Your grandson already looks quite skilled. Your garden is so beautiful. Such beauty rests the eyes and soul.
As ever, Carol Suzanne
He does look quite agile in his form and style.
Lovely photo of the garden.
Beautiful spring scene... just lovely.
ahh, Michel, mon petit-ami s'appelle Joe.
Est-ce que votre Joe parle français?
Amité
What a handsome young soccer player you have. I love to see the pictures of your home and family. I enjoy coming by to see what you have been up to.
God bless you and your family
Valiant Indeed!! Like a young prince on horseback. And your garden, most excellent!
Joe is too cute!! Looks like he is a fine soccer player. I love the winding lane in the garden ~ so peaceful looking. Thanks for sharing your world with us!
Love, Aimee
Your grandson reminds me of my son at his age. Oh, your garden path is a vision of peace! Lovely to stroll down the path and take in all the fresh beauty of nature.
Splendid,
Thank you,
Karolyn
A fresh new year --but isn't it going quickly ---already midsummer looms and then the nights will once again start to darken. Enjoy your beautiful Spring and the garden Ron
Beautiful grandson and that garden looks like the GARDEN OF EDEN Beautiful!!!
This last picture makes me want to walk down that trail to see what is blooming ahead in red.
Hi Michel, thank you for the update, I will pray for good results, dear. Thinking of you, wishing you a lovely spring! Luv, Lowie
Michel..
That grandson is so cute and your garden...heaven-like!!
Thanks for sharing both pics.
Christy
They are so cute at that age. And a good sport to participate in, too. Beautiful garden area! What a wonderful way nature has of welcoming in Spring. Blessings, kc
Your grandson is beautiful! For being only 5 he looks quite good at playing soccer! Is that is favorite sport? I do hope you all get to visit often with one another. I am thinking that being not that far from the Channel that visiting with one another would be somewhat easy - by ferry or by tunnel. I think I would stick with the ferry! I am a bit scared about using tunnels that are under that much water! We had to do that here recently when visiting our son in Norfolk, Virginia. To get to his apartment we had to go via one of these tunnels! I breathe a sigh of relief when we are out that is for sure!!! ;O)
The second picture of the garden pathway is beautiful and I especially love how towards the end there is a gorgeous red flower that you can see but you can't and so it makes one want to go further down the lane to see what kind of flower that is! Michel...you have quite the eye and gift in photography!
Thank you so much for your help with Blaine's question! :O)
Our love to you both!
xoxo Cat
I think I have to buy some nice pair of glasses. I read that Joe was "petite fille" and not "petit fils". Sorry about the stupid mistake.Sometimes the letters in the pc are so small that I make such mistakes.
He will be the next champion, but will he be A British champion or a French,or just a European.
Europe could become one country once.....who knows?

This is such a refreshing entry. A happy carefree child and a beautiful garden in Spring. What a wonderful combination.!
I would love to be walking down that garden lane...It seems that I can detect the gentle sweet smell of the blossoms from across the miles.!
Merci mon ami ..pour votre(comment dit on..."sharing")?

Francoise.
Ciao, bon travail.
Thank you for your comments, yes we have been by bus to this place before and we again had a very good day. Your Grandson certainly has flair and he looks like he is enjoying his sport. Your garden is beautiful. My son is going to live in Paris for a while he has a work visa and will work in a hotel. He is looking forward to improving his French.
Your grandson is very handsome. What a fine boy. Your garden feels very calming and beautiful. I believe we are cocreators with God. Judi
your garden is looking very wonderful, we are having fantastic weather here in the east as well,
young Joe looks a very determined player
my two sons,Baptiste 12 and Dimitri 9 both play football for the "ville", i try to see them play whenever possible but i cant go to two matches at once!
bonne journee
Tim
RYC: We are replacing our septic tank tomorrow...yuk and yah! at the same time. And we are planning on putting on a tin roof within the next month. We have a nasty little leak that just won't be stopped. A few men from our church will be coming and helping Joseph to tackle this project. Then we will only have a few things left to do. We will finish putting the vinyl siding on this summer. That shouldn't be a hard project. Thank you for asking and continued prayers for Marina and your lovely family.
Karen
Maybe when Joe grows up he can be a professional soccer player and makes lots of money? Beautiful garden you have, makes me want to sit in it and watch the birds.
Arsenal or Chelsea (hopefully Manchester United though) will snap up Joe to play for them.
Lovely picture of your garden lane.
RYC: Yes, it is a much more pleasant subject. Three of my daughters girls came over to visit yesterday. We had a great visit. I gave the youngest one her high school graduation gift.
You have the best pictures! I hope all is well for you!
rc
What I see in the photo of Joe is determination, a wonderful trait for success. He is a handsome fellow also, thinking he takes after the rest of the family.
Lovely tree in the other photo. It looks like a Honey Locust it is so huge. The blossoms of the Honey Locust are intoxicating here. I love the smell.
Hoping all is doing well for Marina.
Could your grandson be the next Pele?
And the trees look very beautiful.
Wonderful. Thank you.
Love the greenery. Your grandson does look very graceful and talented
Sending love to you and the whole family

Hee, hee! I love your interpretation---that Babens have erotic dreams! Maybe so. Have a great weekend. = )
No nothing is free Michel you are right we just have to ask God our part in things. I love lilacs. Judi
re your question, we live in Selestat, Alsace, its half way between Strasbourg and Colmar,
and the rhin and the border with germany is around 25/30 klms, although my children live with there mother about 10klms from the rhin in a small village,I get to see them very often, I hope it rains soon, as you say the ground is very hard, it has been too hot for this time of year, i hate to how hot it will get in july and august!
A Bientot
Tim
Michel,
As always, I'm honored that you stopped by to read my blog.
It is Friday night here in the midwestern USA.. and I'm beginning to relax after a hectic work week.
come again soon. I always enjoy visitors.
Christy
I so love your garden. I think you've got a very large garden. are you the one tending it?
annika
re: your comment... I did comment! I sent two bags already.. but the shipping fee cost me more than the contents of the bags did ^^ shipping fees are comparatively expensive. also, I am waiting for my friends to send me my gifts, but some of them got lost!!
Ahhhh .... what Heaven will be? Small children at play in
lovely gardens!
Aw, your English is already very good, Michel! And for me as treasurer.....today treasurer, tomorrow President of the United States! haha.
Aw, your English is already very good, Michel! And for me as treasurer.....today treasurer, tomorrow President of the United States! haha.
Per usual a great entry. I could just smell the blooms on the trees! Also admired the bricks and could see those here with weeds creeping through. Texas weeds go anywhere and everywhere!
I see you have five stars, now does that mean my vote for you won't count?
It all looks wonderful. So you are having a drought and we are just breaking out in spring!
Yes...I am afraid the "racoon" had to suffer.
Ha!
As for the rest of the wild creatures, we have oppossum, beaver, skunks, deer (of course, all over), woodchucks, squirrels, rabbits, pheasants, turkeys, geese, and ducks. I am sure there are more, but those are the main ones. We have had reports about coyotes lately, and also a bobcat, but nothing concrete. The black bears stay up in the Upper Peninsula. I have seen a wolf in the Upper Peninsula.
Have a great weekend, Michel!
Rachel
Was Joe perhaps showing off for his grandpa? As always, Michel, your photos are beautiful and elicit smiles and happiness. What a gorgeous Spring you are having.
Christine
"One is nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth."
What a beautiful place to seek a respite from the chaos of life. I can almost smell the sweetness of the blossoms. I love the feeling of hope that comes with spring; new beginnings are what keep us going, I think.
Your grandson is beautiful, Michel. Who knows … he could be the next Beckham!
Take care, my friend.
Nancy
With all the fancy toys out there, the best toy for a child is a ball! He certainly is having fun practicing his soccer!
Your garden looks so cheerful, with the trees in their white "dresses". We still have about a month to go before ours are in bloom.
Your growing area looks very large. In todays world land is getting more and more scarce. Today I was working with someone with a lot of wealth. They devoted a lot of money for toys. Toys for their children and for themselves. I guess they are wise enough to earn and spend a lot of money and gave us a job to install their four HDTVs on the wall.
Maybe I should learn the laws of acquisition....
Your grandson is adorable - such skill at such an early age
I love your garden - its beautiful!
Merci pour ton travaille dans cete jardin... I hope that translates roughly into, Thank you for your work in that garden... Tres belle et gentile... A very gentle beauty! I believe your grandson is a firmly "planted" young man... he seems well watered and will not "wither" as "seasons" change. Psalm 1.
The spring view is grand, leads ones imagination to storybook lands.
Sorry your five and half year old grandson's picture doesn't show at this time, maybe it did, but not now.
wonderful pictures!! he'll be the next zidane, non?
it's wonderful to see the beauty of your garden too!!! ryc, yes, i'm so very pleased hubby's back!!
i think i caught a bit of a cold. i still have a bit of an uneasy stomach, too. it's been rough for me since i haven't been feeling 100%. my stomach is upset today, too, and we have to go out soon to meet his parents' friends who are visiting beijing! btw, who did you vote for? which of the french candidates do you like? hope you are happy and well!!
angela
J'aime mon argent! Je ne veux pas le perdre encore!
Aussi, c'est finalement chaud à Ottawa! 23C aujourd'hui avec un soleil aussi!

Hi Michel: You have your message thing turned off so I can't send a message about my Cholesterol number. I don't want to put it on Xanga for reading. Enjoy your day
Shirley
Wow! I'll be the 97th comment. Just came to see if you posted again. Blessings, Michel and hope your day was obviously filled with God's abundant blessings.
Soon, I will begin the eulogy to my grandfather's side, as I recall what he told me. Also, the Narrator has helped me tremendously. He is a solidly good man. Thank you, once again.
GraceAnn
What a handsome child and a beautful lane of trees. Thank you for allowing me to visit here.
