My oldest daughter Carole and her horse " Fauvette "

    Alone ride .

Alone for a ride with her horse Henson through the woods and the fields , she meets on the way roe deers and partridges and may live precious moments rich in emotion and spirituality . Far from crowds .

And how to relate what is felt when , at the edge of the Plateau of Picardy , she looks down from her horse on the deep and wide Somme ' s valley parted by marshes and ponds . Space is infinite. Time has disappeared . Moments of eternity .

  • what a beautiful thought you have managed to convey here.

    Have a good weekend Michel!

  • How lovely. I never did have a horse, but love to see them running as i drive by on the road.

In regards my poison oak, I am under the care of a health care provider. She has been there for me in the past. Thanks for your concern. You're a darlin' in that regard.

  • What a beautiful description.  Where i live looks much like the picture except that we have very few bodies of water.

  • How lucky your daughter is to be able to ride in such wonderful countryside

  • Beautiful scene!  You paint the picture so well with your words.

  • Incredible...

I would so love to be that lone rider enjoying nature.

  • Such joy in your message

  • A very beautiful horse.  I have never wanted to ride horses - I used to own a motorbike and it was much less trouble.  Tom

  • great picture, greater words, michel. thanks for all those. have a great weekend, friend!

  • Very serene and peaceful. The back of the girl on the horse looks like my lost daughter Gillian, same hair colouring. I am glad the postcard arrived, as I sent about 4 to different Countries at that time and I went into P.Office yesterday and said I am not buying anymore of your all in one postcards they don't arrive. They used to cost $1 postage by air including card. Now I see they have put the price up to $1.20 so I expect that accounted for delay. I instead bought a heap of cards from the newsagents next door and some dollar stamps. I am too lazy to write to my friends lately, so a postcard keeps me in touch. Now I might hear from an old friend in England, and my cousin in Durban. Cheers Marjie, No13 I think, lucky for some ?

  • Very beautiful, Michel.  Horseback riding is very serene and peaceful and harkens back to a simpler, quieter time.  Great photo of your daughter and her horse.

  • Le photo est incroyable. Tres belle.

  • Indeed you have captured the beauty of all that God has given to mankind.  Not only is he a romantic God, but a God that loves to give pleasure to his people.

The earth was made with loving care so that we could enjoy life fully.

Also, consider the great number of things that add delight to living.

Look at the vast variety of beautifully colored flowers with their pleasant scents that humans enjoy.

Then there is the great variety of foods so delicious to our taste.

There are forests, mountains, lakes, and other creations pleasant to look at. Too, what of beautiful sunsets that enhance our enjoyment of life?

And in the animal realm, are we not delighted by the playful antics and lovable nature of puppies, kittens, and other animal young?

So the earth provides many delightful surprises not absolutely needed to sustain life. These show that the earth was designed with loving care, with humans in mind, so that we would not just exist but would enjoy life.

  • looks like a lovely place to be

  • You, my friend, have a talent for wonderful imagery. The words provoke such visions of the imagination of what it would be like, what it has been and what it will be in the future.

  • Michel, this is the most profound entry I have read from you so far!!!

  • Your blogs always seem to have this nostaligic feeling.  I've enjoyed each and every one of them!  Beautiful picture!

  • I'm almost jealous.

  • Fine looking horse...I'd like to capture some of that moment myself I think!

  • A mystical outreach...sojourning.

...now in response to your question:  The BlogChat is proving itself to be a very interesting para-xanga community gathering spot for some.  One big difference form other chats is that  nearly everyone who visits is a xangan, yet there's no need to have an "account" to participate.  Just open up the chat, type your name, and your off... There's usually a lively, free, and open room exchange and it has proven, by participants own testimonies, to assist in getting to know other xnagaroos and their blogs better.

  • What freedom - to ride, to view, to think without interruption! Beautifully sentimental!

  • Such nice scenery for a rider...my hubby saw a doe with triplets last night.

  • No words to say, except beautiful!

  • Many thanks for your comment on my blog.  I hope you are having a good week - its cold and damp here.  Autumn is looking closer!  Tom

  • How beautiful! You have a way with the English language that puts my use to shame. Thank you very much for the kind thoughts our way during the death of my husband's grandmother.

  • Beautiful picture and thoughts!

    rr

  • That's the same feeling i got the first time i rode a horse...you put it into words so beautifully! =)

  • To answer your question in regards the book of Isaiah. We studied chapters 37 thru 39.

  • that is freedom......in all it's  glory!

  • Beautiful picture and beautiful description.

  • I confirm the Carlo ' s comment above . The Somme '  s valley looks peaceful but during the war I it was terrible . How many French , English, Canadian , Australian , New zeeland soldiers are died in this area of the Somme especially in 1916 . How many war cemeteries !

    Don' t forget .

    Michel

  • Oh Michel, I do think you are definitely a gorgeous man!  If only you and I weren’t married, I’d be flying over to pay you a visit!!

  • Merci pour le comments.

Il y  beaucoup des megalythes en Sardaignes.

    Bien à toi.

    Carlo

  • Beautifully put ... That kind of spacelessness & timelessness can so seldom be experienced in the kind of lives we are leading in these times

  • You are a beautiful poet, Michel!
