Elle me dit certainement quelque chose . Quoi ?

My flower always is there .
The last year in September I wrote the text below about a special flower of my garden that I like very much . This year it already is flowered and I offer to you its picture . It is a quite simple white flower . I said :
 What a flower says :
At the entrance of my vegetable garden in the border is standing an Aster bush . All the time I have to limit its expansionism in taking out a big part of its rhizome network . Drowned into that invasive bush there is a wonderful white flower , a kind of Anemone that is blooming only in September . Before I see nothing , only the Asters and some faded Peony leaves . Every year I wonder : " Will it grow up and flower ? " and I waiting for it . And suddenly every year at this time it appears , brightly white , and answers : " I am here , Michel " . I have to say I almost consider that flower as a friend . She certainly tells me something . What ? : " I thank you to have preserved me from those Asters and let me alive ? You see I am faithful for 15 years ? Life and love are stronger than death ? " A little of all that . I am very sensitive to that special Anemone . Dear friends , could I ask you if you have a flower that tells something to you ? And I add : Is there a flower that you love particularly ?

I have often had flowers or plants or trees with a special message, or a special feeling. This time i have a tomato plant ,just grown like that, seed brought by a bird perhpas? she got some tomatoes ,don't know if ever will get red, we are friends now.
I ask myself if they also feel something like that for us, the humans or just laugh at us.
Bien à toi, Michel
Carlo.
Very nice Michel! Definitely something to think about.
Fully understanding your love of gardening and your flower, I'd have to say I have many favorites. But bush in particular is a fond memory of childhood. The lovely honeysuckle. Tiny creamy flowers with a drop of honey nectar hidden in each petal. They have the fragrance of the Gods.
I have always loved the Lotus flower. Recently I remembered of another lily I used to like as well, a brazilian one as you saw in my site. But the idea of such a beautiful flower like the Lotus, growing in the mud, and keeping its beauty in spite of that really amazes me. Your flower is beautiful,Michel. It is a September flower- just like me? , she´s a virgo!
, she´s a virgo!
Thanks for such a nice blog!
ps. My students loved the cake!
I love my roses! All of them! They are growing so big and have so many beautiful blooms. Especially the one on the front fence. It's really beautiful!
Favorite flowers for me are orchids and snap dragons. I'm not sure if they tell me things beyond being violently beautiful.
beautiful

Alas! I used to know french so well! I would randomly speak it at all occasions, be it chemistry class or funerals, but now I can barely tell oui from non!
I love datura, but it doesn't grow around here (Pennsylvania). Poppies are also nice, but I loathe tulips. They always seemed so prissy to me, for some reason...
beautiful flower...I love flowers...I wish i could have a bouquet of fresh flowers every day...

There are many flowers that I especially like. The lily of the valley is so lovely, but I have not been successful in growing it here where I live. I love my roses and their scent on a warm day. Violets and the pansy are also favorites.
This anemone is quite dainty and lovely. Did you make this picure with the scanner or is it a photograph?
Which is my favorite flower? It depends on which season we are in. I am most fond of the flowers that bloom!
When you talk about your garden it sounds like poetry! You have a way with words. My favorite flower changes pretty often. Right now I am partial to violets.
faithful for 15 years I love my roses
Thank you for your insights. Always a pleasure.
White Lily -- purity and innocence. There are times that cruelty in the world pervades and I can always look back at the white lilies -- maybe an attempt to hold onto what is innocently beautiful during my childhood. Whatever case, I love that flower.
Orchids -- memories of my mother growing them.
Rose -- of course, the "deadly" red rose for the ladies.
Southern women are called steele magnolias so of course the magnolia blossom which grows right at my kitchen window. Orchids for their rugged blooms as well are my favorites. Yours is lovely. Oh Yes and moonflowers for their fragrance and nighttime blossoms. I love flowers.
I love lilies, but it does depend on the growing season, I have many favourites actually. In the spring I love tulips, in the summer I love peonies especially, and in the fall I love Good ole Mums, I have a few mum plants that are ready to bloom soon, and they have an abundanhce of blooms just waiting to open up.
How beautiful!! I have a newspaper article on FlowerSpeak This reminded me of that. I wanted to let you know that I will no longer own elysianfields (shadesofdawn.org) I sold that website to another person and wanted to let you know that from now on you can find me at Fairestc (christydawn.com)

Its lovely Michel.. I think my favorite is the poppy.

Such a pretty faithful flower..... My only flowers are Jonquils..... that come up in the spring.
bleu roses
I love Daphne, the beautiful scented Daphne. I have two bushes of it at my house in Melbourne which I am renting out....I hope they are being looked after.
Mine always grew in tree form; the magnolia. I always loved that distinctive aroma that cascaded over the rest of my garden. I even love the fact that this huge, sturdy tree could produce something that was so fragile that one touch could leave a bruising mark upon it's beauty.
oh fauquet! i have grown some of those for the first time ever in my garden this year!!! they are beautiful!!! i have grown 3 plants! and 2 of them have just started blooming! they are wonderful!

i like....echinacea...or daisies

My roses. Caring for them is like keeping pets though.
I absolutely loved watching my sunflowers grow from seeds this summer. Sunflowers make me smile! Beautiful blog!! You site always makes me happy!
...delighted your friend of 15 years survived this year's rain to once again renew your faith and appreciation.

...i too, appreciate the differing personalities of flora; however, mine are not expressing friendship but of protest.
...i have many favorites depending upon their blooming time. One of my favorites is the Tiger Lily, standing so proud with beautiful colouring. Indeed, this brings to mind the question: If I was limited to one flower which would I choose? Hope I never have to make that choice.

Michel, the flower is lovely to behold. You know from our chat this morning that I had plans of working in the pants here in Mike's apartment. I bought some very nice ones but reasonably priced and some soil in which to plant the new ones and make the ones that are here already to grow better. We are on the third floor here, so we only have the boxes on the balconies and window ledges, but they grow so very well here due to the year-round mild climate. Soon I shall post some of the pictures on my site. I have some beautiful cut, long-stem roses inside too. I agree with you, rubymoon. If you lived in Bogota, you could have them all year, and I plan to do that very thing!!!! I will post the beautiful white roses soon on my site too. The film has not yet been developed.
Thank you Michel for the picture that stirs in our hearts fond memories of our own favourite flowers.
Your friend,
Deb
I love my roses. This is so corny, but I started taking care of them with love on my mind. You know, red roses=love. I was beginning this new relationship. It didn't work out, but I have bundles of beautiful roses growing in front of my window. It's quite odd. They're so crimson that they're almost black. But when they blossom, they turn bright red. Isn't that weird.
I am also amazed at the simplicity of your logs and the effect and response they have on people. That has to be some sort of gift.
A Very tender story. I do know what you mean. I am now already to see if your friend blooms next year.

Best wishes, Tom
That's beautiful about your flower. My favorite flower is in my scrapbook. My dried corsage of one gardenia, from a high school prom. I still remember the fragrance and the feeling I had when I wore it. It's turned brown now since 1964.
How beautiful and how wonderful of you to share it with us! Nothing makes my heart soar like a flower. It truly is a sign that all's right with the world.
39th today because I missed yesterday. I am pleased you have that flower to inspire you. Will you think I am peculiar, if I say I love Cacti and we have a large variety in pots. My favourite, is the peanut one I bought a small pot now it is huge and when it gets warm it flowers, lovely red flowers, they don't last too long but always come up year after year, the pot is crammed and they seem to like that. I also like weird looking cacti. Cheers Marjie

i don't really have a favourite flower, I tend to think that they are all beautiful. The ones that I usually buy are roses or the colors, white, peach, and pink.
White daisys and roses. Long stemmed and sweet smelling! Simple and enduring. Like friendships from a long time ago!
Sorry to hear about the rain. Its still good weather over here in England and I am going to the coast tomorrow. Tom
Very wonderful indeed.
I did not disappear, I just took an exended leave. Thank you for stopping by.
I too love the way you write about your gardening , At least at the moment the weather is good. My boss is in France at the moment visiting the DDay beaches in Normandy
Deep purple irises and red roses.
J'aime Pansies. Ils semblent toujours rire. Ils me rappellent de joie. Ils me rappellent des visages heureux de jeu d'enfants.
wonderful blog Michel!
La fleur est tres belle.

What a beautiful flower!! I adore morning glories, poppies, daffodils, peach, pink or red roses, baby's breath and dahlias. ( i can't choose just one ~ love them all!!)
Yes, the daylilies speak to me. They tell me to enjoy TODAY.
oh dear! what a beautiful flower. a wonder how a seed can grow into such a beauty. these kind of things that make it worthwhile being alive. am i right michel?
not everyone love vincent. even he himself don't love his own self.

What wonderful lesons are to be learned from little white flowers. Thank you.
Your post reminded me of The Little Prince. The flower, and not to mention the French, which is his original language. My favorite flower are yellow tulips.
Michel - this bloom is beautiful. I have an old fashioned bleeding heart that I watch for every Spring. I really love it.
My favorite rose is called Barone Prevost and I love the scent it has...it's an old garden rose and doesn't have the hybrid tea scent. It says to me, "A long time ago, I grew in the gardens of France and was prized for my scent. I graced the tables of many parlors. Let my perfume take you to those simpler times."

The Red POPPY !!!
I am just starting my flowers this year, but I am hoping that they will continue to make me happy for many years.
Great photo of your flower!
just came to wish you a nice weekend!
Greetings, Michel! Very nice blog. I love so many flowers, that it would be hard to choose just one. Some of my favorites are: Hostas, Roses, Daffodils, Petunias, Cautus-well you get the idea.

I know what you are saying about the Anemone being special, though. Today as I walked near my garage, I looked down a small embankment and noticed a beautiful, white, tall phlox at the edge of the trees.
I do not know where it came from, must have been a seed dropped by a bird. It is strange how much the sight of a beautiful flower can brighten your day.
Thanks for sharing your flower with everyone.
What a wonder we both share with our flowers. Thank you for sending me to this comment I had missed about your wonderful friend. It is always a miracle of life when they appear year after year
I love forget-me -nots...because they allways make me remember all my friends...
and little blue berries that grow on a stem in early spring...I don't know the name. The remember me of my granny.
and lillies of the valley...they just smell lovely.
and orchids...... they are symbol of my dreams to travel.....
