Cooking school for men in Ontario ( Canada)
The picture above has been taken last spring near Toronto . It shows my canadian friend Wayne learning how to cook an apple pie . See how he is making a serious effort under the look of his inspector who is his mother . He will be graduated .
It ' s me , now on those 3 pictures .
It was in last January at the same place in Canada . I had to learn to make a sheepherd pie ! ! ordered by my teacher .
1 - My " terrible " teacher Lynn , the Wayne ' s wife , helped me to peel the potatoes .
2- Then I have to cut the meat and other stuffs in small bits .
3- to mix and keep on the simmer . It almost ended .
I had my diploma of assistant and a beautiful hat . This hat is more beautiful than the Wayne ' s one . isn't it ?

Morale ( moral)
We always have to learn ! and you will notice the important role of women .
Je suis fier
I am proud

I thought French men were a natural in the kitchen , you will have to tell us why you were over in Canada it would be a good idea for a blog , to tell people who did not know you then about it
Maybe you can teach me what you learned in the kitchen! I can’t cook anything and screw up everything I attempt! The hat totally looks good on you! Great fun pictures!
c'est un beau chapeau!
Most men are better cooks than women. Love the hat.
Next you will have you're own cooking show!!

and I am proud of you!
Wonderful! I hope you had fun? Bye
cela semble...éducatif
the final picture is wonderful, michel! bravo!
mon cuisine c'est tres bien, uci.
but chantal's c'est mon prefere!
oui, it is always important to learn! it looks like you quite enjoyed your cooking lessons. thanks for sharing!
Was the appels yiou where using using Granny Smith?
What is the sheperd pie? something like Irish stew? or more like Navarin d'agneau. A french in the Kitchen is second only to a Italian.....or together the best.
What did you learn them to cook?
Bien à toi
...what a fun adventure and wonderful pics! Great memories. Michel, you look fantastic in your chef's hat. Poor Wayne, his hat looks like making the apple pie took all the starch out of him.
MuSe
...have you made Janine a Sheppard's Pie?
You do look proud in the last picture!! Way to go!!
Nice Hat Michel
Toronto has some great restaurants too!!
Life is for learning, correct? I love your hat! I'll take a little of the Shepherd's Pie and the apple piie! Yummy!
La vie est pour l'apprendre, oui? J'aime votre chapeau!
You look mahvelous in that hat Michel!!! Now you can cook for Xanga

Very good! When do we eat?
Wonderful!! Nothing better than a man that can cook!!
The shepard pie is an English dish am I correct? I think you look very handsome as a chef. Tres Chic?
Ah. Now I am hungry! The heart of a home is usually the kitchen. I love to have everyone helping--the more, the merrier, non?
And so you should be proud! ! ! You look really good in the chef's hat. If you didn't take such wonderful pictures, I would say it would be easy to picture you as a chef. You are truly wonderful! Have a great day and a better tomorrow! ! ! ! Monday I will be on my way to Tennessee for 2 weeks. So I will see you on my return if I don't see you before I go. I am taking 13 rolls of film and 2 camera's for 2 weeks. Think its enough? lol Love and Hugs! ! ! !
You are among the finest of men.
I see like me, you are very happy in the kitchen!
Very cool pictures! What a great cook!
Bon appetit! Three cheers for the chef! Don't mind Julie, she is only generalizing again!
We never stop learning do we... and yes, your hat does look much better

Bye!!!
That looks like a lot of fun. I love to cook! You do look very proud. It must have turned out well, yes?
Haha! Très drôle! J'aime le chapeau!
Ah! Oui! Il est un beau chapeau! I hope Canada was good to you!
20 had advanced to 31 by the time I arrived late as usual didn't feel like coming on air last night had tummy upset. Still O.K. now. You certainly look proud of yourself in that hat hardly look like the quiet man of your other pictures. I always make Shepherds Pie with minced beef but really it should be made with lamb as that's why it's called that the Shepherds or thrie wives used to make it. What did you use?. Cheers Marjie

I like seeing photos of people you get around don't you Canada?.
WOW, that hat is cool.
Looks like you guys were having a great time in Canada!!!
I enjoy cooking very much but I have not had lessons in cooking although I would like to do so. Perhaps it is something for later in life when I have more time. Shepherds Pie is very popular in England but is quite complicated in some ways.
Best regards, Tom
alas! michel the chef! what a pleasant delight! i can't cook at all. once, i tried frying an egg, the whole house was in smokes. hehehe... but nothing happened. thankfully.
oh dearie, of course you can express your feelings like the way i do. anybody can. just let your heart do the thinking and your fingers do the clicking.

Oh how fantastic, hehe! Its great to see you learning new things - and the hat is lovely, it suits you perfectly

All the best Le Chef, A.
Ah cooking school. I would love to attend one! You look like a natural in your hat and demeanor! Great cooking ahead I see
you look very at home in the kitchen!
I love to cook.
You look like you would be a wonderful chef.
Wow!!! Michel, it appears that you are really enjoying your lessons. I can almost taste that Shepherd's pie. Beautiful pictures! A diploma, a hat, and a fun time. What more could anyone ask for? Have a great week, Michel!

i love to cook and so it's always been a dream of mine to attend culinary school once i've had it made!
and yes michel, please go ahead and write back to me in french. i would really love it! the reason why i speak it so much is because it's my native language. i was born and raised in paris - and i'm just as proud about that as you are in your picture.
- kymmie
Wonderful pictures!! I only wish I could have tasted the shepherd's pie. I don't think I have ever had that dish.
Yes...your hat is much more sophisticated than Wayne's!!
c'est un beau chapeau! Beautiful pictures
The pictures are wonderful! You look like you are having so much fun! I will take some shepherd's pie, Michel! Thank you for your comments on my art - I cannot tell you how much those things mean to me - I feel as if I found the person I have been looking for when I started to paint (and she was there all along!)
Kat
You have reasons to be proud
Cooking sheperd's pie isn't easy. Beauiful photo's my friend!
Wonderful pictures..... I especially like you in that hat.....
My youngest helped me to answer your question at my site, though I'm not real sure of the french word he told me to write.
Oh what great photos ~ looks like you were enjoying yourself there! I agree ~ life would be pretty boring if you stopped learning, no? Vive l'education! (My French is terribly rusty, sorry
)
Great picutres... thanks...
Tom
Yes, I like the standing up hat better than the floppy one! Was it Pot Roast you were making with the meat and potatoes?
Have a great weekend!
rr
You would make a dashing chef or are you already? I am certain that your family appreciate your culinary talents!
Love the hat
Hehe...looks like a lot of fun! But the proof is in the tasting.....so how did the dishes taste?
Oh my gosh!!! Chef Michel!!! You did a fine job, however, better not let Janine see those pics or you will have much more practice!
Gracias, Michel.
My nephew loves shepherd's pie.
Yes, yes, have to be proud, love for food is love for soul.
I'm proud of you, too

Yum! I love shepherd's pie, and apple pie. Congratulations. The hat is perfect.
I don't like to cook. Thank goodness there are people who do.
P.S. Wayne's cooking hat looks like one of the Seven Dwarfs'.
Not to make fun of him, it's kind of endearing.
I know Joan of Arc is real, I mean that in the TV movie I was watching, they took liberties and although many facts were true, much of it was made up for audiences.
hey chef!!!
guess what I´m doing now while I comment here? I´m baking a cake!
I´m now waiting till it get baked. My mom is a professional cook, but I never thought I could be a good one till I moved home. I love doing it now. Tomorrow is a student´s birthday. The class decided to give him a surprise party and I was the first to volunteer to prepare the cake. Can you believe it? Now all seems an excuse to cook... Good to see you enjoying yourself in the kitchen. Your wife must be proud.. Well.. at least your readers are!
have a nice week, Michel.

marie
tres bien!
I love your site. I found you from the comments you left on The Bright Fild. It is SO nice to find another site that can tell their stories with photos. I am adding you to my list.
Martin & Dorothy
I LOVE the hat!!! I love that you have learned to cook one of my FAVORITE meals - Shepherds Pie!!!! I love that you are here and visit ALL over the world!!! Even tiny little towns in NORTH Carolina, USA!!!
Be blessed, dear Friend!
YAY!!
*applauds*
i've forgotten what the french word for "hurrah" is. but i do remember 'bravo'.
thanks so very much for your words on my 'diseased generation' blog -- they made me cry and made me think. as lkhend said in her comment, your wisdom is amazing. i hope you are not offended at me (badly! sorry!) translating your comment so that others too could see it. i really appreciated your thoughts so very much.
I got home last night, so I wrote a new post! It's glad to be back to my friends at Xanga
