A travers la forêt
Nous marchons d ' un pas léger
Dans la magique forêt
Transportés par les senteurs
D ' humus , de bruyère et de fleurs .
Hola ! Serions - nous perdus ?
Ma femme et moi sommes confus !
La carte et deux anges gardiens
Nous montreront le bon chemin .
Les enfants se désaltèrent
Parmi les chênes centenaires .
Clairons et trompettes sonnez
Pour qu 'on vienne nous chercher !
Michel Fauquet
My daughter Isabelle and me with Sarah and Joe
My wife janine and me are perplex
Through the forest .
All of us walked briskly
through the magic forest
Drunken by scents of flowers
Of humus and heather .
Hei ! ho ! were we lost ?
My wife and me are confused .
The map and two guardian angels
Will show us the good way .
Children are quenching their thirst
Among the ancient oaks
Sound bugle and trumpett
For someone can find us !

Your pictures made me smile. Sarah and Joe remind me of my children when they were small. (I've posted my art.)

Thanks Michel.....I live it!
What a great looking family you have there. And of course your beautifull scenery
Thanks Michel well at least 20 is not so many ,I was late getting up today I fell back to sleep. Your daughter and you do look perplexed, Glad you worked it out in the end. I think what I called a castle in Salzburg was really a fortress, I get them mixed up, we saw so many. Your two grandchildren are delightful but we grandparents would think them so anyway. Not always when they get older though they get very preoccupied with their own affairs, then you dote on the Greats. As all mine married very young I was an early grandmother. Didn't you think Salzbug was a delightful place?. You must find it easier to visit than us from Australia one of the reasons I was sorry I emigrated. Still as I believe in fate I guess we had to help populate Oz with our own 4 ,12 Grandchildren and I am not sure at moment of how many greats although I think the next one due in August will make it 13 or 14. Not that I have seen any for a long time. My family is not a close one much to my disgust, I only had a lot of children as I only had 1 brother 8 years older and Matt was an only child. We imagined ourselves the heads of a large family. Some Hope, even a phone call is difficult for some. Cheers Marjie.

What wonderful photographs. I love the castle ruins and the walk in the woods. Children do bring such sunshine in our lives! Oh how I wish we were able to travel and see the wonders you have. Keep sending pictures so that I may enjoy your travels also!

You are right! Guinness is an Irish beer!
You always leave the sweetest comments on my site - thank you for this.
What an idyllic day. And I didn't know you are a poet - it is a very good poem too. As good in translation as in the original tongue! Thank you for sharing it with us. Tom
Ah, Michel... your imagination just warms my heart! I love this:
The map and two guardian angels Will show us the good way.
What a beautiful, loving family you have!
I thought much about your comments on "No August" and, well... I have to say, no... this time it was not the rocks of the earth.. the length of the day or the volcano inspiring the poem. That poem was about me thinking about two of my dear friends.. and the zinc and cadmium pigments was an obscure reference to their treatments for cancer and how I'd like to erase the pain, the stains.
Michel, thank you so much for reading and commenting at my place. I so appreciate your encouragement.
With much aloha,
Linda
What a lovely family..sigh (I can hardly wait for grandchildren.

ça fait plaisir d'apprendre que d'autres personnes que les Libanais ont entendu parler de mon pays!!

The Magical Forest! That is the name of my home too.
Votre poème, c'est très joli.
Votre poème, c'est très joli.
what charming pictures
Aloha again, Michel my friend.
Just wanted to let you know there is no fear of the volcano. The flow is gentle, incredibly beautiful, and, for now, confined to the national park. I like to hike up to it time to time. Currently it is overrunning the park highway and running into the ocean, again, heh.
Here's a photo for you and Janine!
