The vegetable garden in June .
Here is a part of our vegetable garden in Amiens ( North of France ) in June . You can make a comparison with the picture taken in March. At the foreground you see the young celery then shallots and onions , peas and then potatoes . On the left my wife Janine is picking raspberries. She will make delicious jelly with them . At the background you see the cherry tree . But who is that big mocking blackbird which perched on a ladder attempts to catch cherries and pleases in the foliage ? How pleasant it is to gather in one 's garden !

excellent, michel!
j'adore les framboises
So beautiful! That is very nice that you can grow your own fruits and vegetables. How peaceful that must be to go outside and walk amidst your garden. Thanks for sharing your photos!
That looks truly lovely!
I love the pictures!
We have rasberry bushes at our house.
I hope that your wifes jelly turns out marvlous!

Wonderful pictures, Michel!!!
How lovely! What a delicious way to begin the summer!
Great pictures!! I'm SO glad you shared them with us. Our cherry season was about a month ago and we hardly had any.
I agree...there is nothing like picking the fruits of your own garden!!
amite a toi.
How delicious! How fruitful! I am jealous of your raspberries!
I cannot grow them here. Enjoy!
Comment délicieux! Comment fructueux! Je suis jaloux de vos framboises!
Je ne peux pas les grandir ici. Apprécier!
The flavors are richer and the cooking is better when we grow our own garden. There is so much happiness when we stay close to our earth
those are some nice pictures!! you know, I took French in high school for about a year and a half, so I really enjoy trying to read your blogs in French first and then check and see if I got anything right in the English below..... someday if I get brave enough, I might try to comment in French....
The picture of your wife looks like it could be a painting.
I like to see other peoples gardens.
Oh! Your garden is so rich and beautiful! What a lucky man you are! I have just planted one... much smaller, but, luckily here, it can grow the entire year. Wonderful photos and description, it's an inspiration to me.
Thank you Michel, for your encouraging and sweet comments on my site. I always appreciate it when you stop by and visit.
With aloha,
Linda

Busy Lovely gardeners, You both look busy and happy. You must live a very happy life with your garden. Are you in the countryside, or suburbs of a town?. Cheers Marjie.

Answer to Portia : We live at the limits of the town of Amiens ( 160000 inhabitants ) but it is Amiens yet .
Happy pictures but mind that step ladder Ron
Oh how wonderful!!
Yes, you're certainly right, how lovely to be able to gain such goodness in your own garden, wholesome but good fun too

Hehe, I love the picture of you in the tree! You are having so much fun!
All the best, A.
...bonjour, Michel. Have taken up the project of learning how to convert my English writing to French, via Microsoft. Soon I'll be commenting in vos language.

...wonderful photos! Vos jardin is huge, must be a full time job maintaining. You are so playful and enjoying vos cerises, such bounty! Vos reap what vos have sown.
...enjoyed vos comment on my "Wildcard" very much! Very poetic. Merci beaucoup.
Very gorgeous pictures Michel, I love to gather in my garden too!
Gathering is the best part of farming! Reaping the rewards! Your garden is beautiful! You certainly look happy in that tree!!
It made my day great to see pictures of you and your wife in your garden. Beautiful. I wish sometimes that I didn't live in an apartment so I could have a garden as well.
Fresh fruits and vegetables. Yummy!
What a lovely garden! I envy you the mature fruit trees and the, no doubt, more temperate climate.....as a matter of fact, maybe I'd better go have a look at mine before it gets too hot!
Such splendor!!!
....I know what you mean. There's nothing like gathering food from your own garden! I'm feeling jealous, as I will not have a vegetable garden this year due to my landlord, giving the house a "makeover." It needs it so, I'll just have to wait until next year!
Thx for listening to my new song!
Wow Michel! Your garden is looking great. Wish your wife luck, making jelly.
Have a great weekend
Love, bianca
Wow.. so beautiful and lush and green!! A wonderful garden

wonderful wonderful wonderful!
iam envious of your garden and lifestile for that matter. I wish that i knew more French, so that i could correspond in your native language. Sprechen Sie Deutch? Never-the-less great pictures, and i hope to see more in the future.
Beautiful garden Michel! Janine looks happy too!! I love working with my plants, but I don't have them this year. I will enjoy the pictures of YOUR garden instead.
Hugs,
Deb
What a wonderful garden! It must give you great pleasure
Tom
Ahhh...but only few know the real pleasure of having your own garden...I have seen you work with food. You enjoy preparing it (well, a veggie tray anyway) almost as much as you do crocheting!
And btw, in that picture of the train...I am certain that I could see Zidane looking out the window!! LOL
Have a great weekend, Michel.
Mike
Your pictures are beautiful! What fun you must have. And did you say raspberries? Oh, they are my favorite (behind nectarines!) I think I could almost live off of them!
Thank you for your very sweet comment on my site. I know it will be my friends here on Xanga who will help me over this bumpy road in my life.
Have a great weekend!
How delightful.
Great pics , you are lucky to be able to have such a garden and get the weather to be able to grow such things , I love rasberries and strawberries
What a beautiful garden! It looks so full and you have so many vegetables to pick! J'adore les pommes de terre
. Thank you so much for continuing to share your p pictures with us! Your life seems so joyful, as well.
It's really looking good my friend
The pictures look wonderful! You look so happy and the photo of your wife in the garden look as if it could have come out of a "Country Living" magazine!
It is amazing, michel... I now miss your blogs as I miss your comments!
And waht great pictures you come to show here! What a pleasure you must have!
Have a good day!
Wonderful Micheal wish I was there to share it with you. You really must have a green thumb. Jass
J'aime les legumes beaucoup. Je les mange tos les jours.
Thanks for continuing to stop by when I've been so bad about coming here!
I delayed my garden so long this year that I decided to put out only 12 hot peppers and five tomatoes. The peppers are Tabasco and Jalapeno. I like jelly with hot peppers added.
I hope your weekend was good!

This summer I'll spend in France. Where do you live so I can stop by and admire your beautiful garden!
How absolutely beautiful!
how glorious
i have been through your town in 1986..
my lemons are just ripening - happy bitter yellow against cold grey sky
Congratulations. With the photo you got the right atmosphere into my room.... just like that.
Like I was there.....
I clicked the eProp button before reading your text....
Now I've seen this, I miss my vegetable garden. I had letuce and beans and spinach and a lot of other things.
Like you say, it's great to harvest and "eat out of your own garden". We've eaten berries and framboises this year.
It's raining here now...and everything seems to be deserted......
oh! it looks like a wonderful garden!!!!!!!there is nothing better than freshly grown fruit and vegetables!!!!
such a beautiful place...
Raspberry jelly has my mouth watering... actually any home-made jelly has my mouth watering
Wishing you a lovely week!!
C~
I dont know how pleasant it is. LOL all I have in my garden is 6 tomatoe plants.
It certainly looks like fun and delicious.
I have been having a problem with my keyboard, so have been unable to visit anyone for a while. It will probably take a while to catch up. You are first on my list, so I have a long way to go.
I like the pictures of you and your wife, you both look so happy and contented in your garden. Hope that blackbird knows how to fly, just in case.
I only have 12 tomato plants this year plus yellow and zucchini squash. I can at least make my favorite green tomato relish. I miss all the other things though, but am to busy to care for a garden this year.
