I like donkeys when I was small we used to go to the seaside and my Mum and Aunty and I would have a ride on the sands. One day they put my Aunt a big lady on a donkey, and I said to the man it's legs are too thin to carry her. He was most annoyed and I would never go on a donkey again. I feel so sorry for the over burdened ones in Foreign counties. Still Bilberry looks happy and contented, lucky donkey. Cheers Marj,

Myrtille is a charming donkey. Is she a pet or does she do some kind of work? I studied French in school (over 40 years ago), but I have had very little opportunity to use it. I would wish very much to improve my grasp of the language.

Oh what a beautiful donkey!!! I adore donkeys, more so than horses or whatever. They have such sweet & peaceful expressions on their faces.
When I was 13 my parents took me to a Donkey sanctury for abused donkeys. It was wonderful seeing them in such a beautiful & peaceful place with lots of space & freedom after a harsh life. I loved it there. We had a caravan about a mile down the road & you could hear them in the evenings braying. They are good memories. Thanks for sharing that beautiful photo, Bilberry is so sweet! Such lovely colouring!

There is a island in Sardinia, "L'asinara" where there white donkeys living in the wild.
Now they want to sent there some of the Palestinian terrorist. I hopethey will ask permission to the donkeys.

Grandpa ~ Myrtille is indeed intelligent and peaceful... and very lucky to have such loving human "relatives" to care for her! Thank you so much for reminding me of her.
