Michel, she is looking as if in deep thought. I too have a granddaughter who gives these pensive looks. She is 2 and a half also. Her name is Kerstin. I ask her at times what is on her mind. She usually does not reply.
She does talk with me a lot and I enjoy our exchange. Is there anything better than being Grand-Pere??? 
My little granddaughters call me Nana.

I believe the little ones still hear their angels...perhaps Sarah is hearing what the elders can no longer hear. She is precious, Michel.

Since you asked: scraggle is a name I made up when I was younger, when a friend and I started writing letters to each other. I am scraggle and she is daggle. I realized later that in the word scraggle were all the letters of my first name. Another one of those subconscious things...
while I was playing with words, daggle, the artist, would draw conceptions of what scraggle and daggle looked like
I've kept all those letters, and other letters I wrote to friends and *friends* when I was younger. Now we have email and inboxes and it just isn't the same.

You French and your beautiful women! My high school girlfriend was from Nice and I visited her and her husband there years ago. They also had a little girl named Sarah and she was one of the prettiest children I had ever seen.

I thought the same thing as one other message, what a lovely little one to paint. I have a neice with lovely ringlets - I have taken many pictures of her because as she gets older she will hate that as her sister does (don't we all wish our hair would do something else?) - I want to be able to show her how much I have always loved that face and those ringlets that do what they want to do and it works! What a wonderful picture! Sarah is a beautiful child. Peter Noone recorded a song called "The Angels Are Crying" with his daughter when she was 8 years old. It is about a little angel who is sad because the people of the world "can't find the light." This picture makes me think of that song.
