The dream of the duchess.

Le rêve de la duchesse .
The dream of the Duchess .

English version after the French text.

Duchesse Carole- 2009

The first photo above  shows my oldest daughter Carole ( 47 years ) going last May to a reception in a carriage driven by her faithful admirer Thierry . This last one is like a knight taking a pretty woman for a ride . Frankly, don’ t you think Carole gets the  posture and the  look of a highness ? To be simpler we will say duchess . We pay our respects Madam .

Carole - 2009

But Madam is not proud and she poses in smiling for those who know how to deal with her and who love her .

Carole 1995Carole, posing

Carole onws horse for at least 15 years  they are her passion . She loves the rides in the countryside or in the mountains whatever the weather .
      She likes the large spaces

Carole in the fields , dans les champs. 1995

Carole 1998

I joke when I call her the Duchess but I have to confess she has  a kind of style ..

Such a  passion can look strange but it is like a dream . Is not she happy to realize her dream  day to day?

Is not he(she) happy the one who can realize his(her) dream ?

I love the pictures of your daughter. Your daughter is lovely and her horses are beautiful! I have always loved horses all my live. When I was a small child I would beg my parents for a horse, but we lived in town and had no room for one. And I still don't have no room, but that is OK. So I love to look at other peoples Horses. God bless

Kelly

You have a lovely daughter. Like every Frenchwoman I have ever seen, she could look like a queen while scrubbing a floor. I have no idea how they manage that.

Your daughter looks quite regal, indeed. How lovely to know that you've instilled in your children a love for nature and being outdoors.

RYC: That is true. You've virtually seen me grow up since my late teens! I will always count you among one of my friends, Michel.

Ahhh, that's a passion I share! There's nothing like a good horse and plenty of space to ride in! What wonderful photos - your daughter is very lucky to be able to indulge her passion like this and, like me, to have a family which understands that passion!

She looks completely at ease with her horse.  I think it is wonderful to be able to ride like that.  I always loved horses when I was little, but alas it was more the IDEA of a horse and not the real thing.  I never learned to ride; there really weren't any stables or anything like that around at the time, and it's too late for me now!  (And the expense is too much.)

She really does look quite regal in that photo; I am glad she is a FRIENDLY Duchess!  : )

I love the carriage photo. Several years ago my brother gave carriage rides in the park. He had a beautiful horse and carriage. I'm sure there are times when he really misses it.

ah, you are rightly proud of your daughter.  it looks as if the women on the bench in the first pic are watching royalty parade by.  your daughter looks like she is comfortable whatever she does and wherever she goes.  wonderful to ride a horse out in nature!

"Duchess" -- a grand nickname for your daughter.

I am envious of her as I have always wanted to own a horse. I love riding horses. When I taught school, both elementary and H.S., my students had horses and I was invited to ride them. I wanted my children to have horses because there was a place right up the street from us where horses could have been boarded. Unfortunately, such was out of reach for us financially.

Magnificent  horse pulling the carriage and also the one she rides.

Thank you for photos of your daughter, the equestrian "duchess"

~~Blessings 'n cheers
