Coming from the earth , coming from the heart.

Venant de la terre et du cœur .
Coming from the earth and the heart .

English version below the pictures

Plantation 14 Avril 2009

On the mid April I was planting with my daughter from England Isabelle and her children Sarah and Joe , potatoes ,onions and shallots . See the photo above.

A month later , around May 20 , here is what the vegetable looks like . I was really amazed by the speed of the growth .
Where it was a bare ground such a desert are now standing plants full of promises . it is satisfying to produce ones own food but also to be aware of the strength of the vegetation which produces her own flesh in using simply carbon dioxide of the air, water and minerals  of the ground with energy of the light . Is not this prodigious ?
id you want to be more convinced try to weigh a seed of carrot and compare to the weigh of the entire carrot two or three months later . You will notice the vegetal mass has been multiplied by at least 10 000 !!!

Yes the gardening allows to be aware of the vegetal power linked earth with the air and light ....and how much we are dependent of it .

 maroille

Some days ago was stuck on the wall of my neighbour’s house an advertising saying : “ Fauquet, he comes from the North, he comes from the Heart “ . I would have been able to be flattered by so many compliments excepted I noticed that that Fauquet was the founder of a trade mark of cheese typical of the north of France and called Maroilles . Not any parenty with him !! But I found funny to see this advertising Fauquet stuck just at the side of my house !!!
Yes the Maroilles is a good cheese coming from the work of man and milk of cow which eats the grass growing from the ground !!!!!

Your garden is so big and mine so small but we both experience deep satisfaction in the process of its life. Judi

he is not as handsome as you... so that will make you still my favorite Fauquet!

I wish we had a garden as big as yours, but alas, mine has just been planted- so I'm behind schedule!  I can't wait to see the bounty of it all!

A garden is always such a wonder - to see everything grow and know it will end up on the table. Did you notice how he is holding the cheese with his hands shaped like a heart? Made with love :D

Your garden looks wonderful -- you will have a healthy summer!  And I'm glad they are advertising good cheese -- how funny to have your name on your neighbor's wall!

Your garden looks delightful and you will enjoy much for a long while.  Interesting to have your name on a wall so close to you.  Makes you a celebrity.

Morning Glorie.... my garden is very small compared to yours but the same principals apply don't they - your theory about the carrots makes me wish my carrotts were ready to eat now - it will be another month I think - but I should have yellow squash ready at the end of this week - I always eat the first one right in the garden - I am so excited by this!  I would always know the man in the Fauquet advertizement was not you - he has no elegant coat and hat - and although he is quite hansome he doesn't campare to your handsomeness....ilym

Wow! Those veggies really did sprout up quickly! How nice for you. You can enjoy them earlier that you'd hoped. How nice your garden is looking. All very neat and organized. I don't even see one weed!

hahaha....how interesting it must be to see your name in print, so close to your house!! I suppose that makes you kind of a celebrity!! But of course, you already are around these parts!

It has been fun to do a photo journal of my garden, but your's just puts mine to shame.  It has the beautiful look of expectation.  Potatoes are so inexpensive here, it would not be economical  to grow them myself, except for the pure enjoyment of harvest.

What a great harvest you will have later. Maybe, I will be inspired by you and grow my own vegetables next year ! One result of the reccession is that more people than ever are growing their food - so it isn't all bad ! Yours would have been a better face on that poster as you are more handsome might you try cheese making now ? Marie

Your bountiful garden makes mine look so tiny, though  I have mine spread around the yard. Tomatoes have their own little bed (3),  green peppers in with dill and oregano and tarrigan.  Herbs all over the yard, and the front yard boasts onions cabbage, a zuchinni and a cucumber plant and 3 strawberry plants.  I'm sure the bugs of summer will love me for it all.  lol     I also have one grape plant, but grow those for the birds as they seem to get them before they are ripe.  Having a garden and digging in the soil brings one back to earth and our beginnings.   Have fun in your garden.

love,     Marilyn

Your garden is growing VERY fast!! You really are a hard worker, Michel. It would give great satisfaction to see the sprouts coming through like that, and know very soon you'll be enjoying "the fruits of your labour".

Wow!! Fancy having this large billboard that just happens to have your name on it! In fact it's true of you because you do "come from the heart".
